Volume 13 Chapter 46: Eri 

Keith and Nephele headed out again. It was a normal day as he continued to cook for the customers. As he did, the little fox munched on the side. She understood what to do and ate quietly, not bothering anyone.  

Lei and Mir had gotten used to her and were now munching with her. 

“Keith! What's the matter with you?!” This was a surprise to him. 

Keith tilted his head, “What’s wrong, Mr. Othniel?” The king squad had returned to his cart again. Seriously? Is the kingdom going to be fine with you guys gone? Actually, this was more concerning. 

“Why are you acting so nonchalant? Some people are causing trouble for you? Want me to get some people to beat them up?” 

“Yeah! We should do that."

"For the cart!" Julius, Finrandir, and Othniel voiced their rage!

Before they had the chance to do so, that was when a fist came down on their heads. Virel and Edmund smacked all three kings without a thought! 

“Sorry about that,” “Forget anything they said, Keith.” Those two just shook their heads. How could they say something like that? Think about their positions! They were all in disguise, but if someone found out what they said, it would be a problem. 

“It’s fine. Besides, there’s not much damage coming our way at all.” They talked bad about his food, but it ended; that was that. There was no point in getting more angry about this. Othniel and the others wanted to say something about it. However, Julius could only shake his head. There was nothing that would get through to him once the boy decided.

"Keith, you got some crazy people around here." Erwin couldn't help but mutter as he stared at them. Clearly, he could tell who they were. Even his appearance here was not regular either! 

Keith was prepared to leave and return home. Sarah tilted her head as she questioned, "Are they always going to be there?" That was something she was curious about. Cedric being at the cart was normal; he was not a grand duke anymore, so he could do whatever he wanted. For the rest, it was not normal for kings to always come here. 

"...I should tell the queen about this," Leona muttered. She was worried about the kingdom as well. Keith laughed, "Yeah, I'm also worried about the kingdom." 

As they were ready to leave, a small hand tugged at Keith's pants. Keith looked down, “What’s the matter?” 

“Go. With you.” Her voice was soft, and there were little whimpers as she looked up at him. Keith picked her up, “Are you fine coming home with me? Do you want to wait for your family?" That was something he realized; the child was waiting for her family. 

“Warm.” The little fella latched onto his neck and hugged him tight. 

"..." Keith was silent before he rubbed her head, “Alright, then you can come home with us. Is it fine with you guys as well?” 

“Of course.” Leona and Sarah nodded. Like so, the group headed back to the island. And that was when Keith met with Diana, “Keith- Oh, you guys are back. You brought back the little one?” The fox girl snuggled into Keith’s shoulders, not wanting to look up. 

Keith gently patted her head, “You don’t have to worry about anything. And-" Wait a minute, I never did get her name. She had never told him everything. 

“...Eri.” 

“What a beautiful name.” Keith smiled. Eri didn’t say much, but her ears wiggled, “Diana is going to help you bathe. Is that fine with you?”  

“…” There was a small move. But that was when the little fox opened her arms to allow Diana to hold her. The dorm mother nodded as she carried her. Leona and Nephele did the same and followed her to the bath. 

Sarah muttered, "I wonder what happened to the child." She was a little curious about her backstory. 

"...She'll say when she's ready." Keith stretched his hands, “I’m going to make some delicious food for her today.” As he headed into the kitchen, he took out some shrimp, drill eagle, and other things. And seeing the oil that was being poured out today, Udine muttered,

“Are you going to make fried food today?” “Mmhmm. But I’m also going to make some corn and other things easy to eat and fill up.” He could tell the child was on the smaller side when compared to Leon and Laura. She would need a good number of delicious foods to fill her up. Heading to the kitchen to cook,  

“Wait a moment!” Latch. Keith looked down to see Eri latched onto his leg. It was clear that she had just come out of the room as her hair was dripping puddles on the ground. Diana and Nephele also entered the kitchen, 

"Sorry about that, Keith. She quickly left the bathroom before I could dry her hair." It was so fast and sudden for her to react.

Bending down, “You’ll catch a cold if you walk like that.” As he picked her up, “Nephele, Diana, can you cook the rest?” “Mmhmm!” "Understood."

“Udine, clean the puddles on the floor.” He headed into his room, making a small fireball in his hand and pushing the air onto her face. The little fox girl didn’t say anything, so she let it happen as she sat in his lap. Feeling it dried, “I'm going to cut your hair. Are you fine?” It was pretty shaggy, and it covered her eyes as well.
