Volume 13 Chapter 45: A-class Lunch
“What do you mean you guys failed?!” Brian stared at the workers who tried to cause trouble for the cart.
They scratched their heads, “But Boss, we really couldn’t do much against him…His food was delicious.” The flavor, texture, and ambiance were quite different. It was nothing compared to the food their restaurant cooked.
Brian’s face turned livid, “Get out of here right now!” I need to take care of the stupid cart now! Because the cart was stationed near his restaurant, it affected his revenue.
Originally, he paid no attention to it; since Keith opened his cart three times a week, it didn't affect his restaurant. However, it changed with the second cart. Since they were close, they were getting the brunt of it as customers left to go there. Plus, people also kept talking about them, which made him furious. A chef took pride in their food, and to have it talked about as being inferior to others would irritate them.
I need to show that my food is superior to his! There was no way he was going to get beaten by them.
...
“So Keith, when will you make that verder mammoth steak for us?” In class, Herrick and the others stared at him with great ferocity.
Keith shook his head, “Relax, I made it for lunch today.” They had been talking about it for quite some time now. He could practically hear it as an afterthought.
“Yippee!”
“Do you guys have enough time to talk about food?!” Tennol glared at them and shouted, “You three go sit on the side and do a handstand!”
"..." Keith sighed as he got up with them and did a handstand, “I blame you two.” Why did they shout? He could clearly tell Tennol was a little salty about the food.
Keith and the others continued to do so. Once it was lunch, it was go time!
That was not the end: many people circled him.
“Are you guys kidding me?” Keith sighed as he watched them like rabid animals.
Angelica grinned, “Don’t forget that you have good food around here.” No one was going to back away from this.
Keith sighed, “You lucky I made so much so I can share.” The box was opened, and a giant slab of meat was in there! Herrick and Melor's jaws were literally touching the floor from how open they were.
"Oh, my lord."
"...Yeah."
"You two-are you crying?!" Tears dripped down their eyes; a puddle slowly formed under the two.
"...It's just so beautiful." The lion's voice went higher as Leona patted his head. Long Lihua laughed, "Even I feel something when I stare at this food." Beautiful red jewels stared down at him. Juices dripped down before them.
Keith sighed, "Now go and eat." With his words, everyone did. It was expected as they ate. Carolyn muttered, "You always outdid your food."
"Of course." He needed to up his game since he had so many amazing ingredients.
While they ate in the cafeteria, in the lounge,
“Aidiun.” “…No.” The elf swatted their hands away like a bunch of flies! He was putting his hand down for this. How dare they try to steal his food? Moreover, today was special. Even they had a difficult time procuring high-class ingredients. To have it for lunch was amazing!
Shire grinned, "But you can't hog it all to yourself." The others nodded to do this. While they continued to encircle Aidiun, another similar smell came from the side!
“Clara, where did you get that?” It was the same lunchbox as the elf. Clara explained, “Oh, Keith gave it to me! He said I could have some.” The hamster teach had gotten close to Keith. Plus, he kind of doted on her as he handed her some food.
“…” The other instructors couldn’t help but gasp. What kind of BS was that? Tennol couldn’t help but mutter, “Isn’t Keith my student?” She had been teaching him how to use a damn shield!
Clara started to eat before them, and they watched. Are you seriously going to do that?! This hamster was getting more open and confident, not minding them.
“By the way, are you going to do something about the restaurant?” Shire then questioned.
Aidiun shook his head, “Keith seemed to have a plan in mind. But I doubt there wouldn’t be any trouble that would come his way.” This guy had too strong of a backing for any backhandness.
“It was too sturdy to break."
“True, but I feel like Cadmus will do something about this.” Aidiun didn’t know why the dragon was about to make a move on this, and it was going to be something big. That was something he was sure of.
What do you think?
