Chapter 1127: After Story 3: Dad, Call The Cops!
Ethan hummed a song while holding a baby girl in his hands.
She was his first daughter, Grace, whom he loved very much.
Since she was only a few months old, Ethan rarely took her outside the castle. Most of the time, he would simply bring her to the balcony of their room.
Chloe, who had just finished taking her bath, looked at the father-and-daughter pair with a smile on her face.
Right after they graduated from the academy, Ethan married all of his lovers and settled down in Atlantis.
She was the second one to give birth after Lily, and everyone was very happy for her.
Although the rest of the young man's wives had yet to conceive his child, they believed they would get lucky one of these days.
Of course, Hecate was more than happy to help them get what they wanted. But, they refused her.
They wanted to give birth naturally, especially after what the Progenitor had done to Lily.
Hecate didn't think badly of their decision and left them alone. If none of them were able to conceive after a few years, she believed they would come looking for her sooner or later.
Ethan was no longer an ordinary person.
He was now considered a hybrid Progenitor, possessing many powers. So, giving birth to his child wasn't an easy task.
Hecate even believed that Chloe got lucky during their first try, which resulted in her pregnancy after their honeymoon.
"Is she asleep?" Chloe asked while putting on her clothes.
"Not yet," Ethan replied. "She's busy admiring her father's handsome face."
A giggle escaped the young lady's lips due to Ethan's reply.
Suddenly, they heard a knock on the door, which prompted the young lady to open it.
"Well, good morning Zach and Zayne," Chloe greeted Ethan's two sons, Zach and Zayne, who were now three years old. "Have you come to see your sister?"
"Yes," Zach replied. "Good morning. Mama Chloe."
"Good morning, Mama Chloe," Zayne said before hugging her.
Ethan's sons were very smart and had started to talk before they turned two years old.
Usually, three-year-olds weren't that smart, but the two of them were exceptions.
In fact, the first one who learned to talk was not Zach but his brother, Zayne. Both of them could say full coherent sentences by the time they were two, which surprised many people.
Zayne would often say words like "Cinnamon is coming. Save me!" or "Call the cops, Cinnamon will be here soon!"
Lily, who had met Maple and Cinnamon before her babies were even born, could only smile at her son's antics.
The two adorable girls often visited them, and Lily was already used to being called "mother-in-law" by the two adorable gluttons.
She still couldn't forget when the two came to save her from the Progenitors of the Plague Faction after she was kidnapped.
Although he found the two girls quite mysterious, Ethan didn't stop them from visiting his children.
In fact, since Maple and Cinnamon saved Lily, they were permitted to see Zach and Zayne anytime.
However, there were times when the two girls would sneak around and knock out the guards protecting the two babies, which gave Ethan and Lily a headache from time to time.
When asked why they did it, they simply said that they were making sure the Guards were competent enough to guard their future husbands from threats that could harm them.
Ethan couldn't find any flaws in their answer, so he simply asked the Protector Clans to send in their best warriors.
Now, four guards guarded the baby's playroom instead of two people because Maple and Cinnamon easily knocked them out during their regular visits.
As to whether his sons would really marry the two adorable girls when they grew up, Ethan would only watch from the side and let them decide things on their own.
The young man crouched down to let his sons see their little sister, who was very happy to see them.
Grace laughed and reached out to her brothers, who gently held each of her hands.
Ethan and Chloe exchanged smiles with each other because their kids had a very good relationship.
They hoped that Zach, Zayne, and Grace would continue to stay like this as they grew up as a family.
Suddenly, another knock was heard from the door, and the moment Zayne heard the person behind it, he immediately hid behind his father, as if dreading to see the person on the other side of the door.
"We've come to visit!" Maple said as she knocked on the door.
"Cinnamon has come!" Cinnamon said. "I am here to play with Zayne."
"Dad, call the cops!" Zayne urged his father, who didn't know if he should laugh or cry due to his son's urging.
For some reason, every time Cinnamon appeared, Zayne would try to hide or run away.
Unfortunately, there was no running away or hiding from Cinnamon. He would always be captured in the end despite doing his best to avoid her.
Zach, on the other hand, got along with Maple just fine.
He would even lay down on her lap as he drank the milk bottle she always brought for him.
Leviathan assured Ethan and Lily that the milk inside the bottle wouldn't harm their children.
In fact, it was the best sustenance they could get at a young age, allowing them to develop faster than ordinary children.
In the end, the twins were taken away by Maple and Cinnamon, leaving Ethan, Chloe, and Grace behind.
Zayne only cooperated because Cinnamon had also brought a milk bottle for his sister.
Thinking it would help Grace become healthier and stronger, the three-year-old boy decided to sacrifice himself for his sister's future.
"What do you think?" Ethan asked when it finally became quiet in their room.
"I think the future looks bright," Chloe replied before leaning on her husband and looking at her darling daughter. "But you should probably meet with Maple's and Cinnamon's parents soon. Leviathan said the two of them always sneak away from home whenever they visit us."
Ethan nodded. "I'll ask their Grandpa to schedule a meeting with them when he comes to pick them up. I'm also very curious to know more about the parents who have given birth to such carefree girls."
"Right." Chloe smiled while looking at her daughter, who looked very content drinking the milk in the bottle that would ensure her a bright tomorrow.
What do you think?
