Chapter 468: You wouldn’t understand.
Following the event, Shane and Luoqi didn’t celebrate much further; after greeting some close acquaintances, they left in a hurry.
It couldn’t be helped. The situation at hand was concerning—not just for Luoqi, but Shane didn’t want their engagement party ruined if those higher-ups suddenly started a conflict.
Thus, Shane and Luoqi left the venue in the care of Liya and took their leave.
Under such circumstances, the influential guests lost their desire to continue the celebration and, one after the other, began saying their goodbyes and departing from the Royal Palace.
Of course, the incidents of today’s engagement party were something they were sure not to forget.
They also wouldn’t forget that two of the Divine Race’s Great Goddesses and two of the Demon Clan’s demons were now present within the Royal Capital, inside the Royal Palace.
As for their objective, it was straightforward; they were all here for Shane.
This made many reassess the power behind Shane, further cementing the thought that one must not offend him, let alone make an enemy of him.
“Collaborating with Lord Beizut was certainly the right decision,” Harvis said, relieved.
“We will wait outside the palace for the two Goddesses and see if they have any instructions,” Yule also said, standing guard outside the Royal Palace with the Temple’s Divine Practitioners.
Vivian, Tielle, Lu Muya, and Merica, a group of four, were sighing.
“I never imagined I would see the Life Goddess here…”
“It’s a pity I didn’t get to see the Nature Goddess…”
Lu Muya and Merica were emotional, one excited and the other somewhat regretful.
Seeing Anima appear made Lu Muya this excited; after all, as a Beastman, the Life Goddess was the highest deity of the Beastman Race. Seeing the actual Life Goddess here was bound to thrill her.
In contrast, Merica only felt regret.
The Goddess of Fate appeared, and the Life Goddess appeared too, but the remaining one among the Three Great Goddesses, the Nature Goddess—who was held in the highest regard by her people, the Elf Clan—had not; naturally, Merica felt deeply disappointed.
Of course, what Merica didn’t know was that the Nature Goddess was indeed present; she just hadn’t shown herself.
What do you think?
