Chapter 211: Departure, Ancient Race
Chapter 211: Departure, Ancient Race
Next day,
Inside Sect Master's Residence,
The morning sun broke through the dark clouds and thin paper curtains, filling the dining hall in gentle light.
At this moment, Lucian was having breakfast with his women.
The round wooden table was filled with Spiritual Wines, fruits as well as Second Rank Spirit Beast's meat.
"Congratulations mom, and you too sister!" Lucian said, raising his cup of spirit wine towards Isabella and Celine.
Last night, both Isabella and Celine broke through almost simultaneously.
Celine now reached the Sixth stage of Foundation Establishment, while Isabella had finally broken through to the Mid stages of Foundation Establishment.
During these five months, all of his women made significant progress using resources from the Fifth Prince's Space Ring. The Spiritual Herbs and Spirit Stones it had, accelerated their growth.
His aunt, Eloise had also reached the peak of Qi Gathering Stage.
Although she wanted to establish her Foundation, Lucian advised against it.
The cultivation technique she was using was too low rank. While it wouldn't affect one's foundation during the Qi Gathering Stage, establishing one's Foundation with an inferior technique would permanently limit her future achievements.
So Lucian asked her to wait until he found a suitable technique for her. He planned to search the Empire's Royal Library to see if there were any high rank Cultivation Technique that would complement Eloise's unique physique.
So for the last four months, she had been learning Runes alongside Amelia.
Indeed, when Amelia accepted Lucian, he used the [Harem Members] option to see her information. And he was quite surprised to discover that she actually possessed an Innate Fate related to Runes.
---
[Innate Fate]: Runic Enchantress (Green) ; Sword Maidan (White)
---
Even Alisa didn't have such Fate.
So nowadays, when not cultivating or managing the sect, Alisa was often teaching and helping Amelia.
As for her mother, Evelina, she was too ordinary. Her two Innate Fates were all White rank –
---
[Innate Fate]: Energetic (White) ; Nation-Toppling Beauty (White)
---
Both mother and daughter didn't have any fates related to physique, which was somewhat disappointing but not unexpected.
As for affinity, although Amelia had low elemental affinity, Evelina was a mortal without any significant spiritual affinity. Her meridians were thin and fragile, unsuitable for cultivation.
So in the end, Lucian didn't upgrade any of their innate fates.
He planned to find Spiritual Fruits, like Bodhi Fruits, hoping they would grant good Innate Fates, similar to what happened with Lyra when she awakened an Innate Fate related to comprehension.
"So when are you going to leave?" Isabella suddenly asked.
"Tomorrow morning," Lucian replied coolly.
"Oh! And for how long?" Celine asked, her eyes reflecting concern despite the joy of her recent cultivation advancement.
"I'm not sure. Perhaps a year or more. The realm will open in half a year. So I guess I'll be spending my time in the Royal capital during the wait," Lucian explained, "And I also have no idea for how long the realm will stay open."
Alisa interjected, "Do you have any information about what's actually inside?"
Lucian shook his head, "I'll ask Empress when I arrive at the Imperial Palace."
"Oh my! So there's another Empress now? What, is my dear sister not enough for you anymore?" Eloise spoke mischievously.
"Hmph," Celine snorted in annoyance and asked with furrowed brows, "Is this Empress trustworthy?"
Lucian laughed, standing up, "Don't worry about that. You guys will soon meet her."
Lucian stretched his arms, walking towards the bedroom entrance. When he reached the doorway, he turned around with a playful smile, "What? You guys aren't coming?"
Eloise was the first to stand up and jumped into his arms. She leaned forward and whispered in his ear, "Let's have some fun tonight, darling."
Celine immediately stood up, "Hey! You already had your turn last night!"
"So today, only me and mom will spend time with brother," Isabella said, jumping onto his back.
"You girls are so naughty," Lucian chuckled.
…
The Azure Sword Sect disciples looked up in awe as the huge Flying Treasure cut through the heavy rain.
Within a blink of an eye, it vanished over the horizon.
Standing at the peak of Azure Sword Mountain, Celine and others stood still even long after the Flying Treasure had disappeared from sight.
At this moment,
"Let's try to enter Golden Core and surprise him when he returns," Isabella said softly, "With the resources brother left us and the cultivation techniques he provided, it's not impossible."
Celine nodded, "You're right. We can't just wait idly. The Azure Sword Sect needs to grow stronger in his absence."
"Yes. Although I can't cultivate Qi without any Cultivation Technique, I'll train my physique using the technique Lucian gave us."

Looking at the shrinking mountain through the Spiritual Energy Shield, Lucian asked, "Your Highness, how many days will it take to reach the Imperial Capital?"
Weishang looked at him from the corner of his eyes and replied, "Around ten days. The Royal Family's Ship is the Empire's fastest Flying Treasure, but even it needs to avoid certain places while traveling such long distances."
With that he turned around, his crimson robes flowing elegantly as he walked toward the center cabin.
Before disappearing inside, he called over his shoulder, "General Wei, help Sect Master to the guest quarters."
General Wei bowed, while Scholar Zhu quickly followed the Crown Prince.
"Sect Master, follow me," General Wei said, his voice deep and hoarse.
Lucian looked in the direction of Azure Sword Sect for a moment, then turned around, following General Wei.
After ten breaths of time, General Wei stopped in front of a door carved with patterns of flying cranes and billowing clouds.
"This will be your quarters for the journey, Sect Master," General Wei said, pushing the door open, "The Crown Prince has instructed that you be given one of the finest cabins aboard the Royal Ship."
His scarred face remained expressionless as he continued, "If you need anything, pour your Spiritual Energy into the jade slip beside the bed. A servant will attend to you promptly."
Then he gave a nod and left, his heavy footsteps echoing down the corridor.
Entering the room, Lucian scanned his surroundings carefully, his Soul Sense spreading throughout the room, carefully checked every corner to make sure there were no monitoring formations.
After confirming the space was secure, he nodded with satisfaction. There was only a standard Formation to isolate the room.
The room was indeed quite luxurious. A king-sized bed was in one corner of the room, and a red wooden table filled with spiritual items was placed near the window.
There were additional two rooms, one was bathroom and other had a Energy Gathering Array carved into the wooden floor.
At this moment, after activating the isolation formation with a gesture, Lucian entered the Formation room.
Lucian planned to refine the pills given to him by the Crown Prince and awaken the Demon Emperor's weapon during these ten days.
...
Meanwhile, after entering a heavily guarded room, Weishang and Scholar Zhu stood in front of a plain wall.
The Crown Prince's eyes gleamed as he pulled out a jade token from his sleeve.
"Is the formation secure?" Weishang asked.
"Yes, Your Highness. Not even a late-stage Nascent Soul cultivator could detect our conversation now," Scholar Zhu confirmed.
He nodded and poured his Spiritual Energy into the jade token, causing it to hover in midair. Ripples of energy spread outward, distorting the air around them.
Slowly the illusion formation faded away, revealing a black door that had been concealed!
Right then Weishang spat out a drop of Essence Blood. As soon as it touched the black surface, crimson lines spread outward, forming a complex array.
When the door slowly swung open, revealing a dark passage leading downward, both of them began to climb down stone steps.
The pathway was dimly lit with glowing stones embedded in the walls.
After walking down for nearly twenty breaths of time, they finally stopped.
The stone steps ended here, giving way to complete darkness that seemed to swallow even the faint light from the pathway behind them.
Both of them immediately used their Spiritual Energy to see their surroundings.
In front of them was a jail cell unlike any ordinary prison. The bars were not made of metal but of condensed Spiritual Energy.
Formations were carved into the floor surrounding the cell, each representing a different seal, designed to suppress cultivation, block Soul Sense, and prevent any form of escape.
Behind the Energy bars was someone chained!
Heavy shackles of dark metal bound their wrists and ankles, inscribed with Runes that glowed with a faint blue light.
However, the upper body was completely hidden by white wings preventing them from seeing the prisoner's face.
These wings, once beautiful and majestic, were now dirty and bloodsoaked, with several feathers broken or missing entirely. Dark blood covered the once-heavenly wings, telling a silent story of suffering!
"Wake up, you dirty thing," Weishang roared coldly, his voice echoing in the confined space.
As the voice reached the prisoner's ears, the wings suddenly trembled but didn't remove themselves from covering the captive's body.
Instead, they hugged the body even tighter, as if this was the only way to find safety!
