Lin Mu and Daoist Chu got to work right away, as there was a lot to do.

And they weren't the only ones getting busy. Daoist Chu contacted every Formation Master within the building and told them about the plan. Of course, they were reluctant to participate in such a thing, and some of them were in utter distrust too.

But after a sufficient amount of proof was provided to them by Lin Mu, they all joined without hesitation. Now it was a matter of life and death for them too.

There were about eighty cultivators in the lodge and several more in the other lodges nearby. Lin Mu got in contact with everyone and established a secret network where all of them would be working together.

This alone took about four days to set up, which took up quite a bit of their time. Especially so because the inquisitors had also begun to move.

Ashy had reported that the disappearance of Inquisitor Bernard had finally been noticed, an entire three days after his death. Lin Mu had expected it to happen a lot earlier, but it seemed like Bernard's fierce reputation made people refuse to meet him unless it was required.

The person to discover it was none other than the same man who had gone to deliver him the letter.
