Chapter 50 If I’m the Demon King, Then You’re the Demon Queen
Inside the classroom, Qi Lin sat in the first row, while Qi Xueyao stood on the podium. Qi Lin leaned back in his chair, legs crossed casually, watching her with amusement.
Qi Xueyao, dressed in a classy Chanel-style suit dress, stood on thin black stockings and high heels, holding a teaching pointer in her hand. Her beautiful eyes were filled with both anger and shame as she glared at Qi Lin. She didn’t even know what nonsense this brat was up to.
The classroom had been fine before he came in, but the moment he sat down, the entire atmosphere changed. Qi Lin had demanded that she stand on the podium and give a lesson.
But whenever he didn’t pay attention, she had to punish him.
And the punishment?
A kiss on the cheek.
“What kind of nonsense is this?”
Qi Xueyao pressed her fingers against her forehead, completely speechless. But as the saying goes—under someone’s roof, you have to obey their rules.
Her back was aching from standing all day, but she forced herself to focus and stepped down from the podium.
“Come here. I’m going to hit you.”
Qi Xueyao gritted her teeth, her eyes filled with frustration. If she had to act, she might as well commit to it fully. Qi Lin played along, tilting his face closer.
Taking a deep breath, Qi Xueyao closed her eyes and quickly kissed his cheek. Then, as if she had been burned, she immediately backed away, preparing to run off to rinse her mouth.
But Qi Lin had been waiting for this.
Before she could escape.
“Mmph!”
Her eyes widened in shock.
The next second, her shame and anger erupted like a volcano. She raised her hand, aiming to slap him, but Qi Lin easily caught her wrist.
She tried to turn her face away, but his fingers lifted her chin, forcing her to look at him.
In Qi Lin’s black eyes, there was satisfaction.
There was arrogance.
There was pleasure.
And… there was confusion.
In his past life, he had admired Qi Xueyao. But she had humiliated him—treated his feelings like they were worthless. When he had begged her for help, she had mocked him, leaving him to be kicked out of his own house.
“Is it wrong to like someone?”
“Of course not.”
“Then why can the person I like trample on my feelings so easily?”
At that moment, Qi Lin finally understood.
This world didn’t run on love.
It ran on power.
And if that was the case—
Then he would only care about his own happiness.
He didn’t care if the world collapsed. He didn’t care if the sun and moon lost their light. In his past life, Qi Xueyao had everything—love, career, and fame. In this life—Qi Lin would take it all away.
“You… you bastard! You’re disgusting! I’m calling the police! I’ll tell your parents!”
The moment Qi Lin let go, Qi Xueyao shoved him away, wiping her lips furiously. She glared at him, tears rolling down her cheeks. But Qi Lin remained unfazed, his expression full of amusement.
____
“Tell my parents? Are you trying to announce that you’re about to become their daughter-in-law?”
“Hahaha, and calling the police? What are you going to say? That I stole a kiss?”
“The most they’ll think is that we’re just a quarrelling couple.”
Hearing his words, Qi Xueyao’s heart sank into despair.
Yeah…
Even if he had stolen her first kiss, what could she do about it?
It wasn’t like he had gone too far.
His parents wouldn’t care. The police wouldn’t care. Even her own parents would probably think it was a good thing—after all, their families knew each other well.
“God… why does the entire world favor this bastard?”
“Why do good people never get rewarded?”
She sobbed, cursing her fate.
Qi Lin chuckled darkly.
“Qi Xueyao, if someone else said that, I wouldn’t even react.”
“But you? You don’t deserve to say those words.”
“If I’m an evil scoundrel, then you’re a demon queen.”
“You will become a heartless, ruthless capitalist. You will crush people beneath your feet. Even your own family will mean nothing to you.”
Qi Xueyao stared at him, furious.
“Never! I will never become someone like you!”
“We are not the same. We never will be.”
“Well then.”
“Let’s wait and see.”
Qi Lin grinned, stepping back.
“Now get out!”
Qi Xueyao pointed at the door, her voice trembling with anger. She didn’t even want to see his face anymore.
Qi Lin laughed.
“And if I don’t?”
“What can you do?”
“Go ahead. Scream louder.”
“Maybe Jiang Lei will hear you and come running.”
“Then you can explain to him how I stole your first kiss.”
“You—!”
Qi Xueyao’s face turned bright red.
Jiang Lei was a traditional guy. That was why she had insisted on waiting until marriage to give herself to him—and he had agreed without question. If he found out about this, he would lose his mind. He might even grab a knife and try to kill Qi Lin.
Honestly, if Qi Lin died, she wouldn’t care. But that would ruin Jiang Lei’s life too. And that—she couldn’t accept.
“Sigh.”
“A kiss is sweet and all, but it doesn’t fill my stomach.”
“I guess I’ll go find Jiang Lei and have him buy me dinner.”
Qi Lin stretched lazily, then turned towards Jiang Lei’s office.
Qi Xueyao panicked. She quickly wiped her tears, pushing aside her own emotions. Right now, she couldn’t afford to let Qi Lin do anything reckless.
So she chased after him—Terrified of what he might do next.
What do you think?
