Villain Ch 1047. I'll Shut Up

The group fell silent, stunned by the sudden turn of events.

Katrine, Mila's butler, had just returned from a week-long vacation with her family. She informed Mila that she had just seen Allen hugging a girl at the station this morning. She even snapped a photo as evidence.

Elio sighed softly. This wasn't the kind of conversation they could have in the middle of the street, especially with emotions running so high. "Uh, I think the tavern isn't the right place to talk about this," he said gently, exchanging a glance with Gil. "What if we head back to our guild base? It's more private, and we can figure out what's going on without any interruptions."

Noah, still holding his sobbing sister, nodded gratefully. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Mila needs some space to calm down."

They made their way through the winding streets of Ront City, to The Order of Valiance's base. Once inside, they went straight to the VIP room, a space Elio usually reserved for strategy meetings and important discussions.

Elio gestured for them to sit down, and the group settled into the chairs around the long table. All eyes were on Mila as she wiped her tears, trying to collect herself, but the sobs still shook her body.

Gil leaned over toward Elio, his voice low but not low enough. "Just asking… they're in the same place, right? Why don't they just talk in real life?"

Elio shot him a warning glance but answered in a calm, measured tone. "Shhh. Maybe Noah's in his office, and Mila's at home. That's why they talk through the game. Some people find it easier to express themselves here."

Gil frowned, crossing his arms. "Yeah, but playing a game during office hours? That's still kinda weird."

Elio gave him another pointed look, clearly more focused on getting the story out of Mila than dissecting the siblings' gaming habits. "Focus, Gil."

Noah, clearly feeling the strain of Mila's breakdown, cleared his throat as he gently pulled his sister away from his chest and sat her down next to him. "So, what exactly happened?" His voice was soft.

Mila sniffled, finally managing to compose herself enough to speak, though her voice was shaky. "Katrine… She saw Allen at the station this morning. He was hugging a woman." Her lip trembled again, and she wiped her eyes quickly. "She just got back from her trip, and it was the first thing she saw when she arrived."

Noah's brow furrowed in confusion. "Allen? Hugging a woman? Are you sure?"

Mila nodded, her hands twisting in her lap. "Katrine wouldn't lie about something like that. She said she saw him clear as day. And… and I don't know who she was, but they looked close. Too close."

James, who had been silently listening, leaned forward with a frown. "Who do you think she was? Maybe it's not as bad as it looks."

Mila shook her head. "I don't know... But Katrine said it didn't look like a casual hug. It looked… intimate."

Gil raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure Katrine isn't just jumping to conclusions? I mean, a hug could just be a hug."

Mila glared at Gil through watery eyes, clearly not in the mood for his bluntness. Her hands were still trembling slightly as she wiped at her face, trying to maintain some semblance of composure. "Katrine even has a photo," she said, her voice tight with emotion. "She showed it to me, and it did look intimate. They weren't just hugging. There was something… different about the way he was holding her."

Noah sighed and leaned back in his chair, rubbing his temple. "Well, Allen does have a lot of girlfriends, doesn't he? I told you before. He's been pretty open about that." His tone wasn't cruel, but it lacked the sympathy his sister was looking for.

Mila's head snapped toward him, eyes wide with disbelief. "But this is different, Noah!" she shot back, her voice shaking. "I've never seen this woman before. She wasn't like the last one we saw when we met him.

And she definitely doesn't match the description of the women you told me about." Her words tumbled out, rapid and desperate as if she needed someone to understand just how wrong everything felt.

Gil leaned forward with a raised eyebrow. "Could it be Sophia? Maybe they've made up or something?" He said it without a second thought.

Mila shot him a look so sharp it could've cut through steel. "You mean his ex? The one who broke his heart?" She spat the words with such venom that the room seemed to grow colder for a moment.

Gil immediately regretted bringing it up, sinking back into his seat as if trying to disappear from view. He had mentioned Sophia casually, thinking it was a playful jab, but from Mila's tone, it was obvious she was harboring far deeper feelings than anyone realized. It wasn't just irritation—it was genuine anger.

Gil shuddered, realizing the severity of her reaction. 'She really hates Sophia', he thought, more than a little taken aback. He hadn't expected Mila to hold such a grudge, especially when she had never even met Sophia in person. But her tone was unmistakable; this wasn't just a playful rivalry.

Mila was fiercely protective of Allen, and anyone who had hurt him—especially someone like Sophia—was clearly on her blacklist.

Elio gave Gil a pointed look. "Maybe it's best if we all just… listen for now, Gil." His voice was calm, but there was a firmness to it.

Gil raised his hands in surrender, leaning back into the chair. "Alright, alright. I'll shut up."

Mila took a deep breath, her body still tense as she glanced back at Noah. "It's not just that Allen's seeing someone. I know he has girlfriends. But this woman—there was something different."

Noah exhaled a long breath. "Right… What's the difference this time?"

"She is not as pretty as Vivian, but… she has unique features. Short silver hair and blue eyes. Those are rare. I wonder if Allen is interested in her because of that…" Mila pouted.

Those 'Silver hair and blue eyes' made the others' expressions turn serious.
