Lin Tian's eyes were moist, and he was furious, wanting to rush out and fight to the death with the people from Hell, but the remaining Nidhogg soldiers fiercely protected him, making it impossible for Lin Tian to break free.

The battle continued, blood kept spilling, and the sounds of swords and cries of killing accompanied these soldiers, composing a heroic anthem.

The Nidhogg soldiers had suffered over half in casualties, the smell of blood pervaded the sea, and floating bodies of comrades surrounded them; Nidhogg had reached its end.

The Dragon Emperor, grievously injured and helpless, finally shouted, "Lin Tian, you take the Gem Seed and bust out, we'll clear the way for you, remember, you must get out, this is an order."

Lin Tian was startled, then, tearing up, nodded his head, the Dragon Emperor's words clearly meant he was willing to sacrifice everyone in Nidhogg to save Lin Tian.

All Nidhogg soldiers roared aloud, and used a do-or-die method to carve a bloody path through the encirclement of Hell's masters.

"Lin Tian, break out," the Dragon Emperor yelled.

Just as Lin Tian was about to follow the gap and break out, a mysterious enemy suddenly attacked, sneering, "Thinking of leaving? It won't be that easy."

Lin Tian looked up only to see a huge fist coming at him, the fierce power bursting from the fist was unstoppable, even though he had almost reached the Half-mirror stage.

At the critical moment, the Dragon Emperor charged over, thrusting his fists forward, and brutally collided with the mysterious enemy's fist. Lin Tian could clearly hear the sound of the Dragon Emperor's arm breaking. He spat out mouthfuls of blood and smashed hard onto the seabed.

"Dragon Emperor," Lin Tian yelled as he swiftly swam towards him.

With difficulty, the Dragon Emperor shouted, "Go quickly, don't mind me, you must carry the Gem Seed and break out, one day, rebuild Nidhogg."

In the split second that Lin Tian was startled, the mysterious enemy had already reached his back; however, four Nidhogg warriors firmly dragged him down, buying time for Lin Tian.

Now was not the time for sentimentality, Lin Tian clenched his fists and desperately surged forward.

He had to break out, carrying the hope of the Dragon Emperor and of all of Nidhogg.

Three seconds later, Lin Tian turned back and found that the four warriors had been killed by the mysterious enemy.

Yet hardly swimming a few meters, dense figures suddenly appeared ahead. Lin Tian focused and saw it was the Huaxia navy, at least a thousand strong.

The leading naval officer said, "We were ordered to support you, but seeing the enemy's strength, we didn't act rashly and went back to call for more hands. We are just the vanguard, the main fleet is on the way."

Looking at the more than a thousand navy men, Lin Tian finally saw hope, he swiftly changed direction, shouting loudly.

"Kill!"

The thousand-plus navy and the hundred-plus Hell masters clashed quickly, and though the Hell enemies were strong, the navy was numerous; moreover, this being the sea, it was their domain.

The mysterious enemy grew furious. Originally, the Gem was within easy reach, but with Lin Tian's interference and now a thousand sailors breaking out, he thundered, rushing into the navy ranks and slaughtering wantonly.

The casualty ratio between navy soldiers and Hell masters was approximately 9:1, but these soldiers did not retreat and defended their nation's dignity with their blood.

"Kill! Kill! Kill!"

The cries of killing roared, the sea became increasingly littered with floating bodies, and the battle intensely raged on.

After killing three Hell masters, Lin Tian moved among the wounded soldiers. With his help, critically injured soldiers took healing potions, hoping to save their lives.

The thousand-plus navy soldiers held off the Hell masters for five minutes with their blood, followed by the thundering sound of war drums as warships and submarines rushed over, a massive dark force, at least a division strong.

The mysterious enemy glared at the approaching reinforcements, heart full of unwillingness and resentment, furiously killed three more navy soldiers and finally, helplessly said,

"Retreat!"

The Hell masters quickly disappeared, followed by the voice of the mysterious enemy echoing through the sea,

"Dragon Emperor, we shall meet again. The next time I appear, will be your end."

The Dragon Emperor paid no attention to his words, merely smiled helplessly, then due to severe injuries, fainted.

Below the South Sea, everywhere was tinged with the scent of blood, bodies drifted to the surface, outlined against the morning sun, depicting a majestic and tragic scene.

This battle had heavy losses, originally Nidhogg had over two hundred people, one hundred fifty-seven died in battle and several were in a coma from critical injuries. The healing potions might save them, but returning to Nidhogg seemed impossible now.

Of the thousand navy soldiers, approximately four hundred seventy died. The Hell masters lost only about sixty people; comparing the two, the disparity in strength was clear.

Fortunately, Xiahou Qingyi and Li Chong were safe. The three of them returned to Nidhogg, which was once lively but now silent; the survivors hardly spoke, seemingly unable to emerge from the grief of losing comrades.

Lin Tian, Xiahou Qingyi, and Li Chong each returned to their rooms. Lin Tian picked up the Gem Seed and began to study it.

The Gem Seed now exhibited a pale violet hue, emanating no superpower waves and quite similar to an ordinary stone.

This time, the casualties were massive, hundreds of lives, all for a Gem Seed. From the mouth of a high official in America, Lin Tian learned that this Gem Seed could stimulate the superpower within a person's body. Lin Tian wanted to try and see if he could activate the superpower within himself.

Lin Tian had many superpowers: Neural Response Speed Ability, Fire Control Technique, Water Control Technique, Flight Technique, divination, and so forth—all granted by the Taotie System. He hadn't managed to activate any of his own superpowers yet.

He placed his hand over the Gem Seed and silently sensed it, but the Gem Seed showed no change, and there was no anomaly in his body either.

It seemed his method was incorrect; merely touching the Gem Seed with his hand could not unlock its energy, hence failing to trigger the superpower within himself.

Lin Tian then stimulated the Ability Source within his body and wrapped the Gem Seed in it, but still to no effect.

He pondered for a moment. He had subdued the Gem Seed using his own blood, though he did not know why his blood could subdue it. If he wanted to activate the energy within the gem, perhaps he could try using his own fresh blood again.

He bit his fingertip and dripped a drop of fresh blood onto the Gem Seed.

Immediately after, a violet light appeared in front of Lin Tian. The Gem Seed emitted a violent violet glow, radiating terrifying superpower fluctuations.

Lin Tian was overjoyed and quickly pressed his palm onto the Gem Seed. Following that, a surge of violet light rushed into his body, and a slight thud sounded in his mind, as if a lock had been opened.

An unknown ability emerged in Lin Tian's memory, and upon close feeling, he finally understood what this mysterious ability was.

"Probing Memory."

Probing Memory was a superpower of the Spiritual Attributes, similar to hypnotism but more profound than Hypnosis.

"Dong dong dong!"

Before Lin Tian could delve into this new superpower, there was a knock at the door.

"Who is it?" Lin Tian asked.

"It's me." It was the voice of Qingyi.

A sneaky joy surged in Lin Tian's heart, thinking he could use Qingyi to test it out.

He opened the door and stared into Qingyi's eyes with a smile, activating the Probing Memory ability.

Soon, all of Qingyi's memories from the past two hours were captured by Lin Tian, but copious cold sweat ran down Lin Tian's forehead, drenching his entire body as if he had been through a severe illness.

"What are you looking at!"

Lin Tian was staring at Qingyi, causing her to blush and push him away forcefully.

Unexpectedly, such a small gesture knocked Lin Tian down, landing him squarely on the ground.

Qingyi hadn't pushed Lin Tian with much force; however, since he was utilizing Probing Memory for the first time, his spiritual power was severely depleted, making him inadvertently fall from her light push.

"Lin Tian, what's wrong?" Qingyi ran over anxiously to help him up.

A warm fragrance rushed into Lin Tian's nostrils, leaving him feeling refreshed. Moreover, Qingyi's arms were so tender. Resting his head on her arm, he didn't feel like getting up.

He thought, might as well lie here; opportunities don't come often, and I can lie down as long as I can!

"Lin! Tian!"

Qingyi noticed Lin Tian's little trick, spat out the words fiercely, then quickly stood up, causing Lin Tian's head to fall and hit the ground hard.

"Ouch, it hurts so bad!"

Lin Tian playfully feigned innocence, pretending to look pitiful.

"Serves you right, for taking advantage of me; why wouldn't it hurt!"

Qingyi said fiercely again, though she made no move to hit him. If it were any other man taking liberties with her, she would have struck immediately, but for Lin Tian, she harbored a bit of respect and an elusive feeling she couldn't quite grasp.

Lin Tian, holding the back of his head, stood up. He had learned from Qingyi's memory that she had come to get her bra but was afraid that Lin Tian wouldn't give it back. So, she decided to be polite first and if that didn't work, she'd resort to force. In any case, she was prepared to cripple Lin Tian if necessary to get her bra back today.

Lin Tian shuddered with fear; luckily, he had preemptively probed Qingyi's memory. Otherwise, in his usual manner, he certainly wouldn't have returned the bra, which would have incensed Qingyi, definitely earning him a beating.

But then again, Lin Tian was now a half-step Reflective Mirror powerhouse, endowed with various superpowers and having consumed Dragon Transformation Liquid, making his body extremely robust. Was he still afraid of Qingyi?

Knowing full well, Lin Tian asked, "What do you need from me?"

"I'm here to take back my own things."

Lin Tian scratched the back of his head, feigning thoughtfulness. He asked, "What did you leave here? I don't remember. You should clarify, otherwise, I'll accuse you of slander."
