Chapter 592: Chapter 341 Reinforcements (Part 1)_3 Chapter 592: Chapter 341 Reinforcements (Part 1)_3 But the other party really was tough, for even after being tortured to such an extent, he still glared at the torturer with eyes filled with hatred, anger burning incessantly within them.
Extinguishing his cigarette on the other’s body, he deliberately chose the most painful spot, yet the only reaction was a furrowed brow, and not a single word spoken.
“I must say I’m somewhat impressed with you, that you can still endure under these circumstances. But I wonder what your face will look like when I bring that little guy back?”
“The staircase entrance is safe, you won’t be able to bring him back.”
“Well, that’s not necessarily true. You think we don’t know the secret of the staircase entrance? The pressure from a horde of monsters causes a small spatial fluctuation there, allowing us to squeeze in. I bet those bloodthirsty monsters have already caught him by now. That kid without eyes is probably crying out and waiting for you to rescue him.”
For the first time, a flicker of unrest appeared in the uncle’s gaze, a trace of compassion that the rabbit butler immediately captured, prompting a gleeful smile.
“I like that expression, it makes me feel alive, and that you, too, are still alive.”
“…Why?”
“Why do you ask? Are you asking why we torture you? There’s no reason, I simply enjoy doing it. We are the embodiment of the rules, our sole purpose for existence is to torture you.”
“No reason?”
“None. Existence doesn’t require a reason. But it’s precisely because of that, your existence has its value. To amuse us, to you, should be an unparalleled joy. I give your lowly lives meaning, you should be thanking us.”
“Madman.”
“Thank you.”
Lighting a second cigarette, the rabbit butler heard footsteps.
These were not the footsteps of a monster.
They didn’t sound as frantic, containing a hint of rationality. Yet they were not human, as the presence didn’t trigger the rabbit butler’s inherent savagery.
So, who might this be?
Looking at the staircase entrance glowing with a green light, the rabbit butler saw his guest.
A hulking man with bulging muscles, wielding an enormous boning knife, and as soon as the rabbit butler laid eyes on him, he knew this fellow was a formidable adversary.
The man wasn’t from his own faction; he clearly came from another dreadful place, a place that sent chills down his spine.
Gazing at the man, the rabbit spoke, “I think we could talk.”
“Roar!”
Upon seeing the uncle writhing in torture, Big Muscular Guy let out a deafening roar, a piercing sound that made the rabbit butler cover his ears, also realizing there was no room for negotiation.
Dropping the cigarette from his hand, he said resignedly, “I don’t like fighting, but now… a change of pace might be in order.”
These were the rabbit butler’s last words.
Before he could react, Big Muscular Guy had sliced off his head with the boning knife, the fluffy head crushed in one fist, then disdainfully tossed aside after a cursory sniff.
The uncle, struggling to raise his head, looked at Big Muscular Guy and asked in disbelief, “Who are you?”
Another male dressed as a Clown emerged from the staircase, saying casually, “The guy who’s here to rescue you. By the way, are you Uncle? There’s a little girl with us, she’s safe.”
Days of torture hadn’t caused a ripple of emotion in the uncle.
But now, his taut nerves finally relaxed, a relieved smile spreading across his face.
“That’s good.”
Then, he passed out.
What do you think?
