Chapter 83
Ruslan and Lyudmila were sprinting frantically.
The two of them had been explorers for years.
As seasoned veterans who had already stepped onto the fifth layer, both were expert-grade explorers, experienced and battle-hardened. Yet, what they were facing now was unlike anything they had ever encountered.
"Lyudmila!"
"I know! O gust of wind by my side! Lend your strength to my friend, make him lighter in body and spirit!"
As soon as Lyudmila’s incantation enhanced Ruslan’s speed, he leapt backward.
Being a lion beastfolk, a fierce roar erupted from Ruslan’s throat.
Infused with aura, his roar extinguished the flames of the Blazing Dead in powerful waves.
Such strength, just from a shout. Even if the Blazing Dead was hosted by a third-layer monster, it couldn’t withstand the force of an expert explorer’s roar, especially from someone rumored to be a master of the Frontier.
But the flames reignited almost immediately.
It wasn’t that the extinguished fire relit; rather, the surrounding flames simply filled the empty space in an instant.
Ruslan didn’t stop.
Though ablaze, the Blazing Dead was still a monster, not a natural phenomenon—a parasitic spirit, in essence.
Ruslan already knew how to handle the Blazing Dead.
He extended his claws, slashing through the inferno, ripping into the fire repeatedly.
The flames would die down, then blaze up again, in an endless cycle.
No matter how he shredded it, the flames kept returning.
It was like dancing alone in an aquarium—slice through the water, and it instantly fills back as if nothing happened. Similarly, the Blazing Dead kept coming, its overwhelming volume gradually pushing him back.
Even amidst the chaos, Ruslan maintained an aura shield, protecting himself from any burns, a testament to his formidable skill.
What do you think?
