The witch thought I am a Demon God

Chapter 80 - 80 79 Fire Sacrifice Square_1

Chapter 80: Chapter 79 Fire Sacrifice Square_1 Chapter 80: Chapter 79 Fire Sacrifice Square_1 The wizard hidden in the rock crevice seemed to be too afraid to readily promise the old witch that he could make a hundred men fall in true love with her.

Ten minutes later, a husky voice sounded from beneath the rock crevice. “You are being too greedy.”

“Let me tell you, one is enough.”

“You can’t handle more than one.”

“I have a potion, where you need to put in a measure of goldfish grass, and then…”

The old witch walked to the deep crevice of the stone pile. From under her robe, a vine-like plant with a snake-like head emerged, the tail of which was still clutched in the old witch’s hand.

That snake-headed vine actually stuck out its tongue, which turned out to be a flower bud, only bifurcated at the tip.

The snakehead vine quietly slithered along the crevice of the stone pile and into it.

The old witch and Ivita, having discerned his power range, naturally weren’t afraid of him.

The wizard concealed in the stone pile crevice continued his incessant chatter. “One tiger ear grass, two Medusa jade phoenix flowers. After extraction, let it stand over ice for a day and then have a boy who has not committed a deed, swallow this potion, and collect his blood from the wrist…”

The old witch scoffed coldly and continued his sentence, “Then, shouldn’t you add a fragment of the leaf from the alien plant, the Great King Grass?”

A confused voice came from the rock crevice. “King grass? What’s that? You only need clover… Why would an alien plant be used?”

“You don’t understand…”

“This is my unique love charm.”

The Hearthstone Grand Witch’s face darkened. “Idiot! That’s because this is the proper recipe for an Intelligence Reducing Potion. Your rubbish version, a derivative of some unknown variant, had to resort to using ordinary magic plant clover in place of a leaf from the alien plant, due to the latter’s unavailability.”

“All you can do is produce a version of the Intelligence Reducing Potion of inferior quality. This potion can only reduce a person’s intelligence for a while, making it easy for them to fall for someone,”
“But it’s not real love.”

“What nonsense are you spouting?!”

Ivita understood.

This is artificially induced love, isn’t it!

The old witch said angrily: “A wizard of your level does not understand the potent magical power of true love. It can almost break any curse. Even the Sleep Curse of Duke Witch, which could put a god to sleep forever, can be broken by a True Love’s Kiss.”

“Your claim to be able to create true love epitomizes the notion that ignorance is bliss.”

“I suppose you even fail to understand the difference in level between a curse and an ordinary spell.”

“I, as The Great Witch, dare not say that I have mastered a curse. Yet you, a bumbling fool, dare claim to have knowledge of curses.”

There was silence under the stone crevice for a moment, followed by a horrified voice. “You are a witch? And the Great Witch at that! And the one with you is… a wizard!”

“Lolita, you actually brought two of my kind here. What are you trying to do? Do you still want me to resurrect your son? I possess supreme mana; I…”

“Ah…ah…”

“What is this? A snake? Why doesn’t this snake obey my snake command spell…”

“This is a magic plant!”

Screams kept echoing from under the rock crevice.

The old witch ordered the ancient snake plant at her wrist, “Pull him out.”

The wizard inside the crevice pleaded through his sobbing, “No.”

“It’s not that I don’t want to come out, but that I’m stuck here. Even if you forcibly pull me out, only my lower body will come out.”

“Ah, why is my body so hot!! What’s happening? This is fire magic!”

An extremely fearful and delighted voice came from beneath the rock crevice. “Fire magic is a magic that only a wizard with a high level of talent can master.”

“Don’t burn me, I don’t have much spirit left, you’re going to burn me to death.”

Ivita turned his gaze to the crevice. He initially only wanted to get a good look at what was happening inside. Who knew his vision would automatically spout out a burst of flame.

The depths of the cave, which were originally dark, quickly turned red, with actual flames spurting out.

Sparks emerged from the cave crevice, turning it into something akin to a stove.

The Hearthstone Grand Witch looked at Ivita in confusion. “Your majesty, if you continue like this, his residual spirit will be incinerated by your fire magic, and then he’ll be burned to death.”

“Should we execute him now?”

“Indeed, as a threat to your territory, he should be dealt with as soon as possible.”

Ivita closed his eyes and shook his head. “It’s just my fire magic that’s gone out of control.”

He had to quickly find a way to digest the fire magic.

Otherwise, that fireball constantly on his retina would limit his social abilities.

Because he couldn’t just incinerate everyone he looked at with his gaze!

From beneath the stone crevice, a whining voice emerged. “What kind of fire is this? I summoned water, but it was quickly dried out.”

“All the undead I raised also died.”

“Stop burning it, stop burning it, if you keep burning I will die.”

Standing next to the stone crevice, Ivita suddenly felt that the flame dancing on his own retina could be controlled somewhat.

What happened?

Why was he suddenly able to control his fire magic?

He attempted to look once again into the depths of the crevice, the fire inside it suddenly burst out, startling both Lolita and the Old Witch.

Then, the exploding fire came together in one place, turning into a fire bird soaring into the sky.

The Hearthstone Grand Witch looked towards the fire bird disappearing into the horizon. “Those three fire snake series of magic seemed to have been combined by you into a fire bird magic.”

Ivita rubbed his temple; he had just spent a great deal of energy. “Hmm, let’s call it ‘Fire Bird’ for now.”

The fireball on his retina had previously stolen the image of the Golden Raven from his memory, but it seemed it could only take the form of a bird because the curse level was too low.

But never mind the level for now.

He needed to understand why his grasp of fire magic had suddenly accelerated.

“That wizard down there seems unable to get out, excavate the cave…”

“I need to go down and check on something and confirm some things.”

Half a day later, the night fell, and the Old Witch and Lolita finally dug out a passage.

The pile of rubble turned into a gnawed small mound of clay, and the crevice turned into a passage.

Ivita and the Old Witch entered the passageway, only walked a short muddy path, but they surprisingly stepped onto a smooth stone step, which led them to a faint purple-red flame deep in the corridor.

When they reached the bottom.

The Old Witch lit a candle with her index finger, fully illuminating this dark space.

Next, Ivita realised, they were standing under a colossal stone dome. There were several murals drawn on the dome, coloured with a blackish and reddish pigment. The red flame they’d seen earlier was embedded in the centre of the mural.

Their position was a square-shaped pit, it even contained some broken human bones.

In the corner of the wall, Ivita saw a wizard, mummified-like, wearing a black suit. He was completely bound by the Old Witch’s Ancient Snake Demon Plant. However, he really couldn’t move anyway.

Because his shoulders and head were pierced by chains emanating from the dome’s wall, locking him here forever.

The Old Witch looked up at the dome and involuntarily read some of the words on it. “This is the ancient Ambros language. This is – the Fire Sacrifice Square?”

“Ah?”

“Your Highness, it seems we have excavated an ancient relic of the Viscount Ambrose Country.”

“That blood-red flame is part of the Thousand-Year Fire. It seems to be a small part of the flame left here by our human ancestors to prevent the Thousand-Year Fire from completely extinguishing.”

“Such relics should be hidden all over Ambros. As long as the main body of the Thousand-Year Fire does not extinguish, these small flames are useless. But if the main body extinguishes, these small flames could potentially become the new Thousand-Year Fire at any time.”

“These murals tell a story about the origin of the Thousand-Year Fire.”

“There should be a strong protective curse at the entrance, it must have been destroyed by that stupid wizard.”

The wizard in the corner, pitifully crying. “I just wanted to get that flame, who knew that I would be affected by the seal that sealed the flame, and that seal incidentally sealed me here too.”

“Until two months ago, a voice suddenly came to my ears. ‘Wake up, the Thousand-Year Fire is about to extinguish, the Grand Viscount is already dead.'”
“Then I woke up, but I was still sealed. That’s when I thought of using blood magic to help me escape.”

“I should have been able to wake up because the seal weakened. And I feel that the seal has been continuously weakening, it has not stopped.”

“I think that as long as the Thousand-Year Fire completely extinguishes, the seal here should be completely lifted.”

Ivita sank into deep thought. “This place should be a fallback set up by humans. I just don’t know who’s voice you heard.”

“But this Thousand-Year Fire looks completely different from the one I saw in the memory of my ancestors.”

“This one is blood-red. The Thousand-Year Fire in my memory was the colour of a normal flame, but it was later tainted by a curse and turned dull.”

“Why is that?”
