Warmth overflowed in Su Yingxue’s heart as she nestled her face against Chu Yihan’s and kissed him tenderly, at the corner of his lips, at the tip of his nose, moving upward to his forehead.
“Hiss!”
An abrupt pain made Chu Yihan support his temple and rub it vigorously.
“What’s wrong?” Su Yingxue cradled his face.
“My head hurts a bit.”
Chu Yihan shook his head. After a pang of pain, his vision momentarily blackened, but as his eyes reopened, it was as if the pain had been an illusion, quickly overrun by a sense of fatigue.
“Morning court is important, but your health is more important!”
Su Yingxue pulled him up from his chair, “It’s only three hours until court, no more reading, go to sleep!”
She forcibly led Chu Yihan to the bed, stripped off his robe and socks, and tucked him into the blankets, wrapping him up tightly, “Her Majesty will be right here to make sure you sleep!”
Chu Yihan chuckled, “Does the empress truly intend only to supervise, not wishing to sleep with me?”
