Chapter 66 - 66 Regret at the Beginning (1)
She had a premonition.
Charlotte Chester's bracelet, it should be in her bag.
But how did Mia Ginger discover it?
Especially, she had no impression of when she put the Jade Bracelet into her bag, and she couldn't understand it at all.
"Open it."
Charlotte Chester also noticed that something was wrong, quickly took a step forward to her, pulled the bag directly from her hand, and unzipped it.
Her face changed.
Charlotte Chester reached in and pulled out a Jade Bracelet and a pearl necklace.
The Jade Bracelet was hers, and she remembered the necklace too; she had personally bought it, and Mia Ginger wore it on the day she went to the Jackson Family.
"Great, you!" Charlotte Chester kicked her.
"It wasn't me." Amelia Miller's face twisted from the kick in high heels, she struggled to sit up and said in a panic, "I didn't, it really wasn't me, madam, it wasn't me!"
"If it wasn't you, then who was it?" Charlotte Chester said, exasperated, "Caught red-handed and you still want to deny it, even trying to frame Mia, what were you thinking? She has a fierce temper, and arguing with us would just make her leave, wouldn't it? Perfect for covering up for you!"
"What a thing!" Another kick from Charlotte Chester landed on her shoulder.
"It really wasn't me!" Tears streamed down Amelia Miller's face as she looked at Zuri Ginger in panic.
Zuri Ginger was also getting nervous, glared at her, but the hand hanging by her side moved slightly, her fingertips quickly rubbed together.
It was about the money...
If she told the truth, she would end up with nothing.
And Zuri Ginger?
She was still the eldest daughter of the Ginger Family, maybe she wouldn't avoid some scolding and resentment, but she was very good at twisting words, and maybe in just a few days this matter would be forgotten by Charlotte Chester.
She couldn't say it.
If she did, even this last line of protection would be gone.
The thousands of dollars would definitely not make it out of the Ginger Family.
Amelia Miller bit her lip tightly, tears falling as she bowed her head deeply, repenting: "Madam, I was wrong. My brother needs to go to school, my mom insisted I bring money, I had no other choice."
"You scoundrel!" Charlotte Chester was shivering with anger, "When did our family ever mistreat you? Several thousand a month and you're still not satisfied? You've really angered me, stealing from me, huh!"
"Enough, enough." Aiden Jiang pulled her aside and said, "Nanny Adams, come here, take her away for now, we'll talk later!"
"Alright."
Nanny Adams, who had been hesitating on the sideline for a long time, hurried over, pulling Amelia Miller's arm and leading her to the nanny's room.
The room finally quieted down.
Charlotte Chester turned around and stuffed the necklace into Mia Ginger's hand, letting out a sigh and awkwardly smiled, gently patting her hand back to comfort her, "Little Miller has been with the family for years, it's my fault, I wrongly trusted her, don't feel wronged, okay?"
"I thought at least one person would speak for me." Mia Ginger, however, did not look at her, she lifted her eyes to glance at Aiden Jiang, then at Bob Ginger, and lowered her head saying, "Really. I thought at least one person would believe in me."
"You child..."
Charlotte Chester wanted to say something, but Mia Ginger pulled her hand away directly.
Turning to Koa Jackson, she said softly, "Brother Jackson, let's go."
"Mia."
Aiden Jiang quickly called out, comforting her: "Dad was just confused for a moment, don't be upset. Dad promises, he'll definitely believe you from now on."
Mia Ginger smiled at him.
Aiden Jiang, though in middle age, was still momentarily dazzled by her smile.
He just felt heartbroken and distressed.
His daughter was only three years younger than Bob Ginger, yet her temperament was so uncommonly stubborn, both fierce and resilient, it made his heart feel uneasy.
What do you think?
