Chapter 137 137: Shocking The Gods - 2
"Let's talk, shall we? We have so much to discuss."
The woman grinned.
The gods and goddesses couldn't help but feel concerned as they watched her smile.
In all their millions of years as divine beings, they had never been more intimidated by anyone.
They were gods, fear was beneath them.
And yet, right now, none of them could even think of themselves as anything more than slaves before the existence known as the System Administrator.
She was the one in control of the entity called the System, and the System was absolute in the universe.
No one, not even the God Kings, could resist its power.
Even they had no choice but to submit.
To think that an existence who controls the System came here in person...
The gods almost peed their pants.
"Please, Your Eminence… if we did something wrong, we ask you to find it in your heart to forgive us," Brahma, the god of creation, said with a very concerned expression.
"Oh, stop it. I'm not here to erase your existence, if that's what you're worried about. In fact, I'm here to tell you that all your problems are going to vanish very soon, along with everything and everyone who's been causing unnecessary trouble for me and a lot of other people."
"That includes all those God Kings and the ones who follow them around like dogs. But you guys don't need to worry about that, right? After all, you're the good type of gods, aren't you?" Eden, the System Administrator, smiled, amused as she watched the gods' expressions shift.
"Anyway, that aside, I've been watching closely what you've all been doing. And as expected, you ended up meeting him. I'm curious, while all the gods were so focused on what was happening in the higher Tower Realms, what made you focus on the First Tower Realm? After all, I made sure that nothing too concerning about his existence would reach the ears of any godly pantheons."
Eden narrowed her eyes.
She didn't seem angry or even serious, but every god knew if they didn't answer her truthfully, something very dangerous could happen to them before they even realized it.
"Your Eminence… it was me who noticed his existence and told the others," the goddess Freya stepped forward.
"I saw him in one of my godly premonitions about four hundred years ago. And just a few days ago, I confirmed it was him when he defeated the noble vampire in the War."
"Hmm... a godly premonition, huh?" Eden thought.
Gods were a type of race, a divine race, and like any other, they had certain abilities common among them.
One such ability was called Godly Premonition.
This ability granted gods and goddesses visions of a scene from the future, a possible future, or even the past, but only if it concerned them or something they were deeply connected to. It could be anything in the universe.
The ability, however, couldn't be activated at will.
The god had no control over it.
In fact, most gods couldn't even access this ability, and the few who could had no mastery over it.
Freya was one such goddess.
When the ability activated three hundred years ago, she didn't even understand what it meant, but she knew it was important.
And now, it had led her to this moment.
But the system administrator wasn't concerned about her, not one bit. She was concerned about the fact that the system had failed to detect the premonition.
Everything she was concerned about had been monitored closely by Eden all day, all night.
And yet somehow, this premonition Freya had received had slipped through unnoticed.
"When we were building the security and protective protocols, I should've included the premonitions as well," Eden muttered.
"I didn't think any gods would even have a premonition about 'him', when he hasn't even risen to glory yet..."
Eden's glowing red eyes flickered as she stared at Damian, frozen in time, silently analyzing his spirituality.
But she didn't probe deeper.
Even with her authority, she couldn't fully analyze him.
She didn't understand him completely, not yet. But she could understand some things.
"Laws? He's already comprehending Laws? Isn't this a little too fast?" Eden was shocked.
"He's breaking through every barrier that shouldn't even be breakable... This is getting crazier than I expected. If this goes on, it'll become impossible to hide him from the troublesome ones..."
She narrowed her eyes.
"I need to update my plans..."
"I guess it's time... the family comes together," Eden sighed to herself.
"The head of the household... I need to talk to her about this."
She turned her gaze back to the gods, who were still bowing, not even daring to raise their heads and meet her eyes.
"...After I deal with them."
"But first, I have to make sure another incident involving godly premonitions doesn't happen again," Eden sighed as she summoned her control over the system.
In an instant, she made tens of thousands of changes within the protocols, not only ensuring that every single premonition or vision from any being registered in the system database would be monitored, but also reinforcing her authority.
She may not be able to control the abilities of each being, but she had the power to observe everything, and she would do exactly that.
But she didn't stop there.
She added a hundred more protections and security protocols around the First and Second Tower Realms, and even implemented measures to balance Damian's overwhelmingly powerful strength within the Tower Realms.
Then, in an instant, she compiled and processed millions of pieces of information.
New plans for the future, how everything should be guided and manipulated from mortals to gods, formed clearly in her mind in a flash.
After finalizing her plans and determining what she would do in the coming days, she turned her attention to the gods.
Thoughts of their roles began to form as well.
After all, they had already acknowledged Damian's existence before truly understanding the greatness of what he was.
Now, they too had roles to play.
She may not explain everything to them, but she would instruct them on what to do from this point forward while keeping them mostly in the dark.
And it's not like they could question the great System Administrator's actions or plans, unless they wished for their souls to be torn apart, piece by piece.
"Anyway, as I have many things to do, let me make this brief," Eden spoke.
The gods raised their heads, but they didn't speak, as they could see the System Administrator wasn't finished speaking yet.
Eden pointed her hand at Damian. "He is someone very important, and I won't let anything happen to him, even if it means I have to destroy pantheons. But I guess you guys won't do anything to harm him, right?"
"No, Your Eminence. I would never dare... we would never let anything happen to someone you deem important," the goddess Nike said.
"Oh, is that so? That's good to hear," Eden smiled.
"Actually, I don't want you guys to protect him. He can do it by himself. In fact, I want you all to subtly spread the news of his existence to all the pantheons..."
"You want us to tell every god about him, Your Eminence?" the goddess Freya asked with a confused expression.
"No, no, don't just outright sing his greatness to them. Just act like you're doing something in secret, or appear before them as if you're trying to hide something from the others. That should make the paranoid brains of most God Kings work overtime. They'll find out about him on their own," Eden said, smiling.
"But... Your Eminence... a lot of gods would consider him a threat. They might even try to eliminate him. As strong as he is, I don't think he could do anything against the God King level gods," Freya said with a concerned face.
"The goddess Freya, known as one of the most compassionate gods ever... I like you," Eden said.
"But don't worry about him too much. As I said before, he can take care of himself, and I don't want you guys to do anything."
Eden continued. "You can do one thing, though, ask the other gods and goddesses who are in league with you to bless him, but don't mention that I asked them to. It's alright if they want to test him or something, I will allow it as long as it's within the rules of the system."
"W-We understood..."
The gods were confused about everything, not just the intentions of the system administrator but also about Damian.
Everything he had just become made him hundreds of times more interesting and concerning than before.
"I know you guys don't understand anything, but since you've been good to him, I will go out of my way to tell you this: everything that will be happening from now on will benefit everyone, including you gods. Since you're with him, you will reap the most benefits," Eden said before looking in a random direction and then turning her face back to the group of gods.
"Anyway, he's about to awaken, and it's my cue to leave. But lastly, act as if this conversation never happened, okay? And definitely don't tell him anything about me or anything we spoke about. I will know if you do, so I guess you won't, right?" Eden asked, narrowing her eyes.
"We wouldn't dare, your eminence," the gods replied, their faces clearly showing distress as they nodded their heads.
Eden's figure disappeared and appeared back near Damian as she gently touched his chin.
"It won't be too long..."
She spoke, but the group of gods couldn't hear what she was saying.
Eden could feel the warmth of him even when time was frozen.
"Even in your weakest, I still couldn't comprehend you... I hope you grow even more incomprehensible than ever before..."
She sighed and gave a warning glance at the gods before disappearing. T
ime, which had been frozen, instantly unfroze.
What do you think?
