Chapter 659: Chapter 68: Prince’s Revenge

Lucas University’s president resigned, taking responsibility for recent events, and his parting words provided closure for both the public and the school, calming the storm.

Nilo reportedly returned to the Baloma Kingdom soon after. Princess Elizabeth gained tremendous popularity, and Blue Star Energy Technology Group hired the team led by the dismissed Professor Luke, further increasing the group’s visibility. Thus, the incident came to a close.

Lucas University gradually regained its usual tranquility, as if nothing had ever happened.

The library became increasingly lively.

Xu Mo, already a ‘celebrity’ within Lucas University, though not a student but only a library administrator, had caused several sensational events, such as beating up Nilo and adding the ‘scumbag’ tag by freeloadingly dating women. Now, there was hardly a student at Lucas University who didn’t know him.

Besides, the three Goddess Level figures of Lucas University didn’t go without mention. Zero didn’t need an introduction, as she spent everyday watching Xu Mo in the library. Nan Xiangyi seemed to also know Xu Mo and they got along quite well, often sitting not far from him in the library; the two appeared close.

Princess Elizabeth often visited the library too, occasionally asking Xu Mo to recommend some books and chatting for a bit. They weren’t very close, but seemed to know each other, which kept the gossips busy considering Miss Elizabeth and Xu Mo had their own history; last year, Elizabeth tried to snatch him from Zero, even drawing her sword on Elizabeth.

The three goddesses of Lucas University each had an ambiguous relationship with Xu Mo, which made the students despise the scoundrel Xu Mo for it. Why not them?

Perhaps because they were not as scummy as Xu Mo.

At that moment, there were two Goddess Level figures sitting opposite Xu Mo; Zero was directly across, with Nan Xiangyi beside her.

Passing students occasionally glanced over, internally criticizing Xu Mo as a scoundrel, a degenerate.

Life is unfair!

They didn’t understand Xu Mo’s pain.

“Xiao Nan, don’t you think it’s a bit stuffy in the library?” Xu Mo very casually spoke to Nan Xiangyi, addressing her intimately. Weirdly, Zero didn’t mind at all, but the boys nearby cringed at his shamelessness upon hearing him.

Nan Xiangyi looked up at Xu Mo and shook her head.

She had felt strange about Xu Mo’s nickname for her initially, but as he continued to use it, she had grown accustomed to it, even finding it rather endearing, like how an older brother would refer to a younger sister!

Sometimes Nan Xiangyi felt stifled. Although she was younger than Xu Mo, nobody had addressed her in that way before.

“Reading everyday isn’t good for your eyes. When you have the time, go out with your senior for a stroll, get some fresh air,” Xu Mo earnestly advised, hoping to encourage Nan Xiangyi and Zero to leave, oblivious to the real struggles of hunger.

“Yesterday, in the hour when your senior wasn’t here, you exchanged contact details with three girls,” Nan Xiangyi looked up at Xu Mo and said quietly.

“…” Xu Mo was dumbstruck, looking at Nan Xiangyi, “Xiao Nan, that’s not right of you.”

“You talked to one of the girls for fifteen sentences,” Nan Xiangyi stated.

“Last time, I paid for the meal; please Pay Attention (PA) to that,” Xu Mo replied.

“I’ll pay,” Zero said, joining in from the side.

“No need, what’s mine is yours,” Xu Mo said, currently in ‘agony’. Previously, he only had Zero watching him, but now Nan Xiangyi was keeping an eye out for Zero as well.

He never expected that the princess from Canaan Star would be such a person. He definitely needed to teach her a lesson when the opportunity arose.

At this moment, whispers filled the library, and a figure walked towards them.

Nan Xiangyi looked up and caught sight of Elizabeth.

Many at Lucas University compared her to Elizabeth, since both were princesses.

Elizabeth seemed to sense something and glanced towards Nan Xiangyi, then noticed Zero and Xu Mo opposite her.

She had been frequenting the library lately. Previously, she had focused solely on cultivation, but now, she realized she needed to learn in all fields. The more she learned, the more she recognized her own lack of knowledge.

Elizabeth directly approached Xu Mo, which stirred envy among others in the library.

“Could you help me pick out some books?” Elizabeth asked Xu Mo, knowing he was very familiar with the library, which would make him much more efficient than if she searched on her own, thereby saving her a lot of time.

“I’d be honored to serve Miss Elizabeth,” Xu Mo rose and said, and then they walked towards the bookshelves together.

Nan Xiangyi was curious. She had always suspected Xu Mo was behind those plots and questioned the relationship between Elizabeth and Xu Mo. However, based on her observations these past few days, although they knew each other, their interactions seemed limited to the library, not very intimate.

Nan Xiangyi turned her attention to Zero beside her, who was quietly reading a book, seemingly unconcerned.

Although Xu Mo was a terrible guy, Zero knew he had important things to do. Elizabeth was an important figure in Blue Star Energy Technology Group, and even its face. She also knew that Xu Mo had been helping Elizabeth behind the scenes.

She had read a book titled ‘Empress of the Empire’ where the female lead was very magnanimous.

In front of the bookshelves, Xu Mo was picking books for Elizabeth.

“How did you come to know Nan Xiangyi?” Elizabeth curiously asked.
