Chapter 462: 76 Captain Xu Mo_2
Chapter 462: Chapter 76 Captain Xu Mo_2
These images unfolded like scenes from history, with a terrifying interstellar battleship navigating through the universe, through the vast starry sky, dazzling nebulae, and horrific crises.
He also saw scenes of the interstellar battleship engaging in war with other warships, firing its weapons into the cosmos, and launching fighter jets one after another.
Even more, he saw the interstellar battleship firing Energy Light at a planet, the dreadful beam piercing through the world.
These images played at a terrifying speed in Xu Mo’s mind, where he saw crowds bustling about on the interstellar battleship, also of the human race, their skin so white and flawless as though polished.
Xu Mo also saw a figure standing in his place, controlling the sphere of light and absorbing the energy from it.
“Controller…” A thought emerged in Xu Mo’s mind, and he was shocked to find that this sphere of light was actually the controller of the interstellar battleship.
This was the control room.
A thunderous roar sounded, and the interstellar battleship seemed to tremble. The Energy Light released by the surrounding nebula formed a more perfect cycle, no longer chaotic. An Energy Storm flashed by, and the next moment became gentle.
Ye Xi and Xu Mo landed on their feet, and Ye Xi fainted immediately, while Xu Mo remained standing, his brain seemingly connected to the sphere of light.
Around him, beneath this nebula, streams of light twinkled, a screen projection appeared in front, and strings of numbers flashed rapidly.
“Connection successful,” a system prompt announced, “Data upload in progress.”
Afterward, a data progress bar appeared.
Xu Mo was extremely shocked. With his eyes open, he could see everything inside the warship through this sphere of light.
Had he received command authority over the battleship?
Xu Mo thought back to the scenes he had witnessed before, feeling like it was a dream. So, the people of the planet where this battleship originated from, did they possess abilities similar to his? Able to absorb energy with spiritual power and connect with the sphere of light.
Had he successfully connected and received command authority over the battleship because it was without a Commander?
All that was happening seemed surreal.
“Data upload complete, congratulations on becoming the fourth Captain of the Ares Battleship. Due to the annihilation of the previous crew, you are granted the authority to rename the battleship. Would you like to rename it?”
“Yes,” a thought arose in Xu Mo’s mind, and he said, “Rename it, Chiyou.”
With a flicker of light and shadow, the system’s voice announced: “Renaming successful, congratulations on becoming the first Captain of the Chiyou.”
Xu Mo was somewhat excited. Had he just become the captain of a super battleship?
“Warning, the warship has suffered severe damage. Please repair it as soon as possible!” the system prompt sounded again, making Xu Mo pause, and then he saw countless warning symbols, all reporting damage.
As it turned out, Xu Mo had celebrated too soon!
This was an interstellar battleship nearing scrap condition.
So now, was he the captain of a nearly-scrapped super battleship?
Should he be happy?
Or should he cry?
With the level of technology of this interstellar battleship, Byron Star’s technological standards might not even be capable of repairing it, could they?
So, had they let him name it out of loneliness?
Xu Mo, newly appointed as Captain, sadly realized the warship was broken!
“Would you like to generate an energy carrier?” the system’s voice sounded again.
Xu Mo was taken aback. A carrier?
He recalled the scenes he had seen earlier, feeling somewhat excited.
“Yes!” Xu Mo replied.
As soon as he spoke, streams of Energy Light shot out and landed on him.
“Scanning in progress.”
“Scanning successful, data upload in progress.”
The system’s voice came through, and Xu Mo saw lots of data, but it was no longer about the warship, it was about his body.
Including his blood, body composition, and genes.
“Establishing model, carrier creation in progress.”
In front of Xu Mo, countless rays of light flickered and interwoven into a body model, which then materialized little by little.
Xu Mo stared at the growing figure in front of him, incredibly shocked.
Before long, a figure appeared, identical to Xu Mo.
“Clone!”
The thought flashed through Xu Mo’s mind as he realized that the home planet of the Ares Battleship mastered Cloning Technology.
“Carrier establishment successful,” the system prompt voiced. As he looked toward the carrier, it turned and looked back at him.
Two people, completely identical, Xu Mo could not even distinguish himself from the other.
However, he could control the carrier.
A thought emerged in Xu Mo’s mind, and instantly the carrier turned into energy, his face slowly changing, the contours shifting.
After several changes, it reverted back to its original form.
Xu Mo had another thought, and the carrier transformed into energy, merging with his body.
“Go on out,” Xu Mo said, and the carrier walked out from within.
Xu Mo looked at the energy sphere and asked, “Why can’t you generate a stronger carrier?”
The energy intensity here was extremely terrifying, but this carrier was just like him, with the same energy intensity.
“The generation of carriers requires complete original body data; otherwise, it would not be a carrier,” the system responded. Xu Mo understood.
If it were not exactly the same, then it would not be his clone.
The former captain of this warship had controlled the ship through carriers; this should be their mode of operation.
“Can you generate several more?” Xu Mo asked again. These carriers could even absorb energy and cultivate independently, which meant that when he was busy, the carriers could continue cultivating without rest.
“Warning, violation of the charter!” the system responded.
“Uh…” Xu Mo was taken aback. So, he didn’t have absolute control as a captain?
It seemed the intelligent system had the charter input during the establishment of the program.
So, the charter trumps everything?
But what does your charter have to do with me?
Being the captain was proving to be a bit depressing; the warship was damaged and needed repairs, and yet one still had to abide by the charter?
Sooner or later, he would modify its program and discard the charter.
The will of Captain Xu Mo is above all!
Xu Mo, controlling the carrier’s mental connection to the controller, saw that although the warship was heavily damaged, it still had some functioning parts.
A powerful energy operated, continuing to isolate certain areas to prevent seawater intrusion, initiating drainage, and providing oxygen in the isolated areas.
Xu Mo’s original body crouched down to glance at Ye Xi, who had fainted, but was otherwise unharmed.
Fortunate to have survived a great disaster.
Afterward, Xu Mo turned and left the area.
He arrived on the third level of the warship, entering a row of mechanical control rooms that were isolated. As Xu Mo walked inside, the mechanical doors flickered open, all under the control of the carrier.
This technology could maximize the captain’s advantage; the carrier controlled the warship while the original operated the command.
This was nothing like he had imagined, nor like the sci-fi movies he had seen before. There were no manual operations by multiple people, everything was controlled by brainwaves. Hence, having a strong neural response speed and adaptability was still extremely important.
What was more advanced was that while the carrier controlled the warship, the original could be freed from it.
Xu Mo walked forward, with doors on both sides of the hallway.
These doors opened one after another, and there, a series of perfectly streamlined Mechas appeared before Xu Mo.
Xu Mo stood in front of a Mecha, a red one. He reached out and touched it, his heart pounding excitedly.
“Jackpot!”
Although the warship was scrapped, it contained numerous advanced pieces of equipment. Given the level of technology exhibited by this warship, what level would these equipments be?
Xu Mo was already looking forward to it.
Xu Mo walked forward. Here were various pieces of equipment—Mechas, Armor, weapons and firearms. Outside, there were many warplanes. If one day they could all be utilized, it would form a terrifying armed force.
It’s just unfortunate, the warship was inoperable.
At this moment, Xu Mo was overwhelmed with excitement.
Selling off just a bit, would he strike it rich??
He was somewhat tempted!
His face remained smiling, but soon he paused, stopping in his tracks, feeling a chill running through his body.
He seemed to have overlooked a problem—the warship was broken, and outside were giant beasts; the Federation’s forces had left.
How was he going to get back???
At this moment, Xu Mo felt a chill from head to toe.
Joy followed by deep sorrow!
What do you think?
