One city different situations (part 2)

Seeing those two going into their respective rooms, an amused light flashed through Lilia's eyes for a second as she thought.

'Looks like my darling will get to see something funny tomorrow~', with that usual charming smile on her pretty face, Lilia let go of Aster whom she has been hugging from behind since earlier to then enter the room.

Naturally that made Aster raise an eyebrow, since it's really hard to "escape" from Lilia's claws once he has been caught, not like he tries to do so, but the point is that she took the initiative to let go of him.

'She is up to something for sure', concluded Aster, but he put the matter at the back of his mind, in any case judging by the smile of the dragon mother, it should be something good for him, she simply didn't tell him to tease him about it when the time came, a typical move by that playful mother of his.

"Ahem, here I recorded information of a total of 236 different resources, out of which 68 aren't among the ones I have seen, read or heard about, well, I bet the number will increase if we take into account the ones obtained by our team", said Angela with curiosity burning in those beautiful hazel eyes of hers.

Aster couldn't help but find her enthusiasm cute, a task that others would find tedious such as compiling and organizing a whole bunch of information about resources, while not owning or have any right to them at all, was fun for the receptionist girl.

'Well, she is also benefitting from managing many tasks at the same time, that's probably how her manual works', thought Aster before saying.

"You'll have to wait until tomorrow to add those resources to your list, for now I need my exclusive receptionist to have a nice rest, because she'll have to handle a lot of information managing during this mission".

Angela first pouted, she was burning with curiosity about the resources obtained by Aster and the others, but then her mood brightened after being directly told that she will be accompanying Aster to wherever that gate led, meaning she'll get to learn about a lot of new stuff.

"Mm, good night~", happily said the receptionist girl before she left to her room in a rush, as if she couldn't wait for tomorrow to come.

Aster postponed the meeting he wanted to have with all the group, to inform them about what they might be seeing behind that door, until tomorrow, not out of laziness, but because everyone was tired if not physically, mentally like Valentina for example.

"We'll also go to sleep then", said Eris, to which Mylene jokingly added.

"Don't keep Cami up until morning~", that made a certain treasure girl who was about to enter Aster's room alongside Alice and the others, blush on the spot, but of course Aster wasn't going to let those two leave "unscathed" after teasing Camila.

"Hoh, you should enjoy tonight's privacy, I'm pretty sure we'll all be staying together like in previous mission", he said, which made those two's faces redden, they had already stayed in the same room as Aster before, obviously nothing happened but that's not something they would agree to with just anyone.

"G-Good night!", those two also left to their respective rooms, which meant that no slumber party will be held tonight.

"Humph, you can dream on about me staying in the same room to sleep", mumbled the ligress girl as she turned around to leave, only for Aster to playfully say.

"I wonder if your ears and tail come out when you are sleeping, wouldn't that be a nice sight to behold, also don't refine your resource yet".

"Grrrr!", the ligress girl softly growled, but she still nodded making it clear that she listened to Aster's words.

"And here I thought the whole going to sleep thing was so that we could absorb these things, anything you want to share with us~", said Felicia, until now the ones that left were those that didn't participate in the fights, so Mira was the first one to whom Aster told not to refine the resource she got.

"Just a little hunch of mine, in any case a single night is not enough to completely refine a half Immortal grade soft natured resource… with the exception of you ladies", said Aster, referring to the group on the Transcending realms that participated in the fights earlier.

It's worth mentioning that Aster didn't tell the previous to the girls of the sect, because none of them obtained soft natured resources, meaning that they couldn't be absorbed before being processed.

But all the girls from his group not only obtained soft natured resources, but there were two resources coming out of each of the distortions they fought for, in other words, Aster basically chose the best secondary distortions for his family, and so each girl had her own resource and that wasn't all, all of them were compatible with them, courtesy of his dragon eyes of course.

"Oh well, those dangerous dragon instincts of yours have never failed, besides while I'm "busy" refining my resource later, you might get a chance to make a move on Tia if we stay in the same room~", playfully said Felicia, making Tiana react like a cat whose tail is stepped on.

"Mom!", and with those words, those two left to their rooms, followed by Eric and Sophia.

"Good night brother", said Eric as he entered the same room as Sophia, and that only left Agnes, Alexandra, Vivian, Nerissa, Iris, Layla and the three sisters.

"We'll take our leave as well… thanks", said Iris, she is a girl of few words, and Aster has told her not to put much mind with words of gratitude, but still she felt really happy at how Aster toyed with the elders from the Blazeheart, allowing those three and herself to vent their anger even if it was just a bit.

Aster limited to smile at the sword obsessed red haired girl, while he waved his hand at those three who answered in kind as they followed Iris to their room, leaving only Layla from their little group, behind.

"Since you treat us like friends I won't bother with words, if you ever need it, my sword will be at your disposition", said Layla before she also left, that was quite a heavy promise for someone from the Bladeheart, especially since Layla is one of their princesses and the most talented one among them.

"I… also wanted to thank you, master had told me that the Ocean Aquamarine would definitely try to play some tricks, but I didn't expect it to be that way", mumbled Nerissa, she thought they will be after her manual, not directly after her, it's not like it's the first time, she is one of the recognized beauties of the Myriad Occupation sect alongside Iris after all.

But Albert is the first one to be so disgustingly open about wanting her, and it wasn't a good feeling at all.

"Don't mind those guys, they are going to be really busy dealing with a lot of "stuff" soon, so they won't have the time to bother you", said Aster to which the dual blue haired girl chuckled as she left to her room.

"So, will I also be staying with you, Aster?", asked Agnes, making Aster bitterly smile, he was just teasing Mira, but who knows what awaits them behind that door.

"Most likely yes", he limited to say to which Agnes happily nodded before leaving, the last girl left was Vivian, since Lieze had quietly left a long time ago.

"I wanted to see if it would be too much if I wanted to stay in your room with little Kana, but it looks like that's not the case, I'm looking forward to exploring whatever is behind that gate", with those words the poison girl casually left, leaving behind an Aster who didn't know whether he should laugh or cry.

'Julian is going to declare war to me if he learns about this', thought Aster as he entered his room, closing the door behind of him, only for him to be tackled by the duo of little girl and little wym.

"Big brother~".

"Hissss~".

Falling on the bed, where Lilia, Sarina, Alice, Aria and even Camila were already waiting for him, Aster chuckled, there won't be any night activities tonight because all the girls were a bit tired and Aster was the same, well Lilia was up for it like always, but Sarina scolded her telling her to cool down a bit for Aster's sake.

"We have another night ahead of us before I have to open that gate, so don't look so downcast", said Aster, making Lilia happily cuddle with Aster, each girl found their spot for tonight and they all fell asleep a few minutes later.

The night at the temporary city was eternal since they were at outer space, as the atmosphere was incomplete so there was no sky, however there was a formation to create an artificial sun which was rising as of current.

Aster casually opened his eyes and was welcomed by the sight of Camila who was given the left side spot on top of him, while Kana and Espi occupied the right one, unfortunately just as Aster was about to give the treasure girl's lips a little "taste", a thunderous sound could be heard coming from the outside.

"Boooom!", all the girls opened their eyes in unison, but remained on their respective spots, making Aster chuckle as he used his dragon eyes to see through the walls and defensive layers of the spaceship, naturally whatever happened outside didn't affect them, but there are sound blocking formations on the spaceship and that explosion still reached their ears, so it should have been caused by something quite big.

After a second of scanning the outside, Aster smirked to then quickly peck all the girls before getting up the bed, very much to the displease of Lilia and the others whose morning routine was interrupted.

"Ahem, don't be angry ladies, they'll pay for being a bother so early in the morning", said Aster, only then the fierceness in their eyes disappeared, Sarina then got up and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

Once she opened the door, Aster got to see Valentina and practically everyone else, with the exception of Eric who wasn't woken up by that loud explosion, though Sophia was on the corridor with the others.

"Those bastards, I'm going to kill them", said Mikaela whose head was pulsing, she had drunk a bit too much and her resistance to alcohol was really low, Valentina on the other hand was perfectly fine, but she was angry for a different reason.

However, before she could storm out of the spaceship, quite literally since there were arcs of purple lightning crackling around her as of current, Aster's relaxed voice drew everyone's attention.

"Don't mind them, let's have a nice conversation while having breakfast", he said, Valentina frowned for a second, but she received a message from William, saying that the Supreme Elder was guarding the fort, so she regained her cool.

While the mothers and a few girls were helping Sarina prepare the breakfast, Aster and the rest set up the table, as they discussed what happened earlier, apparently during the night a few new spaceships arrived at the temporary city, three of them to be exact.

"I expected those guys to call for reinforcements, but they must really not want to pay if they bombarded the gate first thing in the morning", jokingly said Aster as he sat down since they had finished putting the plates and glasses for everyone.

The origin of that thunderous sound, was that the three spaceships which belonged to the Mountain Amber, Ocean Aquamarine and Iron Hall, respectively, used their main weapons to attack the gate that appeared for Aster, but the explosion wasn't caused by the gate being blasted, but by the three spaceships gaining new "decorations".

The full power attacks of three though low grade, war specialized Immortal rank spaceships, not only didn't even leave a scratch on the gate, but were sent back at them, directly killing the poor bastards that were operating the main spirit cannons and also damaging the spaceships, forcing them to land.

"What do you three think, did you feel anything "special" about it?", asked Aster to Eris, Mylene and Mira who after a moment of contemplation, shook their heads.

"No", they answered in unison, Esmeralda also remained silent, seeing the confusion on Valentina, Mikaela and Layla's pretty faces, Aster explained.

"With your positions, I'm pretty sure you are aware that the four Heavenly Quadrants aren't everything that exists, we have encountered people from "higher" ranked places, so my first guess was that the gate led to one of those places, but it seems like that's not the case".

"So, I can't tell you where will that gate lead to, but I can assure you it's not a dead end, my instincts tell me that at least".

The girls nodded, all of them trusted Aster with their lives, even the ones that only recently joined the group like Valentina, Mikaela and Layla, though those three were curious regarding the "encounters" mentioned by Aster.

Due to their respective positions, they knew one or two secrets about the world that weren't known by the public, but haven't had a direct encounter with anything beyond the four Heavenly Quadrants, yet.

'You little girl, hiding so much stuff from your own sister', thought Valentina as she gave Agnes and accusatory gaze, which made Agnes feign ignorance, Layla expected Iris not to tell her, because she knew that she would never say something that might be detrimental for someone she had a debt of gratitude with, or was her friend and for her, Aster was both.

"Ahem, so what are you going to do about those guys?", asked Valentina to which Aster grinned in response.

"Since they have caused us so much "troubles", we are going to bleed them dry for this, after all they just confirmed that using brute force is useless, so they have no choice but to pay".

The girls couldn't help but feel a chill running down their spines as they saw Aster's wicked smile, it was obvious that he expected something like this to happen, he intentionally quite directly stated that the price for him to give others a chance to even compete for the resources behind that gate, would be incredibly expensive.

Knowing full well, that it would trigger a strong and rushed response from the big three forces that were stationed here, and now they had dug their own graves.

"And now?", asked Valentina to which Aster who was being served breakfast by Sarina, casually said.

"Now we wait for them to come out of their own volition, we have all the time in the world after all, so let's enjoy this nice breakfast for now", though Valentina felt a bit weird since her way of doing things is more on the aggressive and active side, she decided to follow Aster's arrangements.

'Oh well, in any case this is an opportunity he obtained by himself, so it's only fair that he manages it the way he wants', she thought as she took a bite of her omelet.

To Valentina's surprise, they haven't even finished their breakfast when she received a call from William.

"The bastards from the Mountain Amber, Ocean Aquamarine and Supreme Elemental sect, are asking for an audience with and I quote "the one in charge", so what do I tell them?", he asked, to which Valentina took a sip of a tea she prepared for herself before saying.

"Tell them that I have a lot to deal with due to their little stunt, so they have to go ask the Lord of the Twin Sword Valley, for anything related to that gate", it didn't take a second before William's thunderous laugh could be heard coming from the communication talisman.

"Hahahaha, I can't wait to see their faces", and with that William stopped the call, to then fly towards the area exclusive to the three big forces, not without thinking to himself.

'Since when that strict and extremely responsible Valentina, knows how to have fun, oh well, as long as things get interesting and sis doesn't kick my ass everything is fine', thought William as he descended from the sky on the area exclusive to the big three forces.

"Yo, good morning, dear customers, I relied your message to our dear "person in charge" and she said that for anything related to that gate you have to go beg the Lord of the Twin Sword Valley, see ya", with an incredibly rude voice, William shouted so hard that practically everyone in the planetoid heard him, before turning into a dark gray star that flashed into the distance.

"Fucking crazy bastard!", cursed a middle-aged man with a trimmed dark brown colored beard, the ground below him cracked on the spot, until a woman with blue colored hair in her early thirties, cancelled the spirit energy that was being radiated by the man to then say.

"Enough, we followed your idea of trying to blast the gate away since you refused to try and negotiate before trying to play some tricks, so this response is normal… that being said, it seems like we are being underestimated", she said as she glared at the half Immortal protectors, who were old men, making them shiver.

"The Lord of the Twin Sword Valley did quite the number on us, and considering what the Redheart elders told us, he is a damn greedy bastard, what do we do young Lord?", added a middle-aged man with dark gray hair and tanned skin, making Wade who had a vein bulging on his neck say.

"Let's go, the faster we get this done, the faster we'll have to stop dealing with that guy… you properly passed my message to those guys, right?", said Wade as he got up from his seat, he was still furious after seeing the war spaceships he specifically asked to be sent, be shot down from the sky earlier, their cost will come out of his pocket after all.

"Yes", answered those three in unison, before they soared into the sky, flying towards the area of the Myriad Occupation sect.

On the way, those four saw the merry atmosphere that those girls were enjoying even until now, they were having breakfast outside, chatting and playing, while in contrast their sides have suffered loses after loses.

As the old saying goes, comparisons are hateful, the three newcomers couldn't help but have a cold glint flash through their eyes, until they heard a voice reach them the next second.

"I suggest you to not have any "funny" thoughts, if you don't want to die, that is, go wait on the city hall, the Lord of the Twin Sword Valley will join you… when he is ready", the origin of that warning was a jade palanquin floating on the sky above the area of the Myriad Occupation sect.

"What!", the bearded middle-aged man from the Mountain Amber, nearly lost it, amber and brown colored spirit energy escaped from his body, but surprisingly there was no reaction in the surroundings, instead of that, the bearded man suddenly felt his chest tighten and blood was forced out his mouth, nose and ears.

"Blegh!", the other two newcomers immediately reacted, but as they were about to join the fray, the woman in the palanquin added.

"There won't be a second warning, no exceptions", in other words, Wade was included, which meant that he, an heir from the Fey will be directly attacked in the open, if those two took action!

"Enough, it seems like the Myriad Occupation sect has grown really strong when we weren't looking, very well, we'll follow the arrangement of the Lord of the Twin Sword Valley", he said as he descended from the sky accompanied by those three.

That being said, there was an aquamarine glow on Wade's eyes, he actually had to activate his innate technique to forcefully calm himself down earlier.

'You lowlifes are getting really bold lately, let's see how they keep it up, when their elites die without an intact corpse, he thought.

Now imagine his expression when the hours went by and even lunchtime went by, but he was kept in the waiting room, without let alone Valentina but even any staff member ever appearing.

But then as he was about to explode, a relaxed voice brought him back to the real world.

"Sorry for the delay, I had to take a nap, since some idiot made too much noise in the morning and woke me up too early".

That was naturally Aster who was accompanied by a parade of beauties, who had obviously just finished eating.

Wade trembled due to anger, but he forcefully clamed himself down for the second time today, to then say.

"I'm sorry to hear that, I have come with the required payme…", before Wade could finish his sentence, Aster shook his head as he sat down in front of him.

"Before that, I have some materials that my cute juniors happen to need, and since the Ocean Aquamarine and Mountain Amber families have such an amazing network, I bet they can bring them to me before the night falls", he said as he took out a pile of paper sheets from his ring.
