Chapter 1522 1522: Say Her Name (2)
Reality for Rowan always changes as he steps on a higher dimensional level, but these changes have not been as prevalent or earth-shaking for him as when he stepped into the sixth-dimensional realm.
The mysteries he had uncovered and resolved by simply reaching this realm were profound, and the transitions he was about to make in his understanding of Reality were only possible upon reaching the sixth-dimensional level.
It was as if the act of stepping upon this level had brought him up to the pinnacles of creation, and everything that came before now was simply a preparation phase, and that could not be far from the truth.
As powerful as the third, fourth, and fifth dimensions were, their strengths were largely corporeal, and their effects were mostly tangible, but the sixth-dimensional level was a watershed that truly brought a higher dimensional immortal to a new phase of their understanding of Reality.
At this level, a talented immortal would be able to preserve their Memory to last beyond the destruction of their body and soul, and they would truly become mystical beings beyond the understanding of most in reality, and Rowan was fully experiencing this process.
He had been fighting against higher dimensional immortals who controlled the power of the memory dimension for a long time and he had harvested all their experiences, but most of them turned out to be quite useless to him, but everything that he had been able to learn from them although minimal went a long way to enhance his knowledge of this dimension.
The problem was that the memory of an average immortal was quite useless in comparison to his own, and the usage of their memory dimension was nothing special.
Rowan realized that he could easily kill higher dimensional immortals not just because he was impossibly strong, but also because his opponents were also quite weak, and he should give them more accolades for being able to make such achievements with what they had to work with.
However, Rowan understood that even if more power was available to be acquired it did not mean most of these immortals were capable of acquiring them.
As you grew stronger, so also did the weight of your existence, and this weight could not simply be judged by any physical spectrum alone but was also spiritual and psychological. No immortal in existence could hold the weight of Rowan's existence for more than a mere moment before they went insane and their souls exploded into ash.
If Rowan could not master his powers, he would go insane before his body, soul and now memory, explode into nothing.

With the blade of Caine driven into his skull that created countless Fractures in his mind, Rowan had been able to step into the realm of Memory and discovered a method to cultivate himself through this Realm by healing the Fractures in his mind.
If this event had not happened, then Rowan would have spent an extended amount of time exploring the vast landscape of his memory to solve the hidden dangers within, this process would have been difficult and taken an unknown amount of time, and it would have been possible for Rowan to focus on this task for millions of years, but being reduced to the level of a mortal and giving his imperfections free rein to shatter his mind, his trials had been pushed to the forefront and he no longer had to search for them.
Seed might have intended another outcome when he made this move, but it turned out to be to Rowan's benefit, aiding his quick acclimation and understanding of the memory dimension.
To fully reclaim all the powers that come with being a living sixth dimension, then Rowan would have to reconcile the discrepancies in his Memories because unlike a mortal, the memories of his past had the power to affect the present and the future for they were fully complete and aware.
Inside his memory dimension were living, breathing memories of his past.
For every one that he had come across in his life, there was a living copy of them inside of his memory dimension, except for certain individuals that had been eradicated by a higher power and so there was nothing of them remaining, even their memories.
Maeve should have been present in his memories, her soul should have been safe with him, but the power of an Old One like Elura had erased all of her from reality, even her past was no more.
If she had died inside of his Origin Land, then even the powers of Elura would have not been able to take her soul away from him, but he had no power over the reality of the Land of Miracles, and so he had lost her.
There were also other allies and loved ones that he had known along the way, some of them were still present in his memories, and others were gone.
Rowan wished that this would be the last time anyone would ever be stolen from his memories, but the future was uncertain and his goal was to become a being where his entire destiny was dictated by him alone.

When he had been brought low by the red blade in his skull and reduced to the level of a mortal, unraveling the Fracture in his mind had been difficult, but he had resolved the first major Fracture in his mind despite the disadvantages, therefore taking the first great step out of mortality.
He had been tasked as a mortal to defeat a being that was near immortal, and it had been a true challenge for Rowan to understand all the intricacies in that Fracture that led to the best outcome.
The red blade no longer had any power to bind him to a mortal form and Rowan had already sent his experience of reaching the sixth-dimensional level to his dimensional soul, as he had expected, his dimensional soul did not disappoint him.
Even before the new experiences of his soul could merge with his body, he was already feeling the changes that were sweeping across Reality and he understood that everything was primed and was simply waiting for him to push the button.
What do you think?
