Ahko walks into the deep forest knowing if she ran like last time, the girls wouldn't be able to catch up with her, maybe Alya can but certainly not Kate. Inside the Priya City there's Layla, sitting on a bench right behind the gates, when the night when Ahko was supposed to come back, she never did. Layla waited a little longer to see if Ahko would come back from whatever business she was in but no, until midnight when no one else was awake besides the guards, she still waiting for her, and she was confused whether or not this was a test.

A test to test her loyalty and if she would snitch on Ahko or not, shaking in fear of Ahko actually testing her, she stepped inside the gates, gave the guards her adventurer ID, and went to the inn to rest. The next day, she's contemplating whether to go wait for Ahko or run away from her. She opted to choose the earlier, Ahko is an unpredictable being at least by human standards, she wouldn't know if Ahko was hiding in the forest waiting for her to try to escape from the city and kill her.

Layla was not dumb enough to test that, and so she waited. Her daily schedule is waking up, bathing, eating, waiting for Ahko, eating, and sleeping for 2 weeks. Right now she's still on the bench where she usually is in these 2 weeks, even some kind people ask her if she's looking for someone, not a few people recognized her at the party, they started gossiping around her telling their friends that the party abandoned her, she left her party behind from a dangerous monster even though she's the healer she should be healing the party instead of running away and now they are dead, all kinds of stuff and most of them are always negative.

On this day it's the same as ever, nothing has changed though she is already labeled as a coward healer.

"Look!! Someone is flying towards the city!!" One child shouted in joy.

Instantly, all eyes dart up to the sky, seeing a shadowy figure moving towards the city with reasonable speed. Not only one person, there are 3 of them but they are a little too close for some reason. It's not something out of the ordinary that someone can fly, even a C ranks mage can fly but not as great as B ranks or above.

Though only wind mages can fly in the sky, every other mage with no wind affiliate can't manipulate the wind to fly, but they have some other methods to "fly" like the wind mages. Flying wasted a lot of mana so most mages opted to just walk to their destination.

Similar to everyone around her, Layla also looks towards the sky and sees the 3 figures getting closer and closer, since she has nothing else to do she watches the figures, this has been the most interesting day since 2 weeks ago and she'll not waste any part of it.

Though getting closer and closer she can see two figures at the back hanging on to the front of the figure and covering their bottom with their other hands. Some people chuckle at the scene, some perverts trying to see the inside of their cloaks, while some ignore them like it's a normal day.

"Hey look! The front doesn't wear anything underneath!!" One of the perverts said.

"Huh!? Where!? Let me see!!" One of the perverts dropped their pants and started jerking them off in front of the public.

"Oh dear god!" A woman covers her child's eyes and tries to ignore them

"Hold it!!" A guard tackles the pervert to the ground and handcuffs him.

"Tch!! Just let me have it this one time!!" The pervert yelled in desperation.

"You are under arrest for indecent exposure!!" The guard covers the pervert's dick and hurriedly goes to the guard station

Some smarter perverts keep staring at the front's exposed genital and even try to catch the 2 figures behind her too. After a while, the figure reached the back of the gates and decedent. They touched the ground and the girls behind her took their hands off and cleaned the dust on their cloaks.

"Hey, where is your adventurer ID? And why are you not wearing underneath the cloak?" One of the guards at the gates speaks to them.

"I don't have my ID since it's being renewed by the guilds and the reason why we're not wearing anything underneath is because our clothes got dissolved by acid when we're fighting a monster, so even wearing them still makes us naked."

"Acid...? How about them? Don't they also have adventurer ID?" The guard asked again

"They got dissolved by acid too."

The guard has some doubts about her reasons, but her reasoning makes some kind of sense, there are monsters somewhere deep in the forest where they can spit acid but it has to be a lot of them to be able to dissolve 3 outfits but not the cloaks for some reason.

The guard takes a closer look at the two girls behind her, he can see a light blue tail coming out of the cloak slightly and the fox ears don't really cover her species that well, then the next girl he can't see her tail but he knows they are there since the back of the cloak bulges, the cat ears also can't hide the fact she's a feline species.

Then it hits him, these beastkins are probably her slaves and she's taking them on a little adventure, why they don't wear any clothes beside the cloak can be explained if she just said they are her slaves but maybe she's trying to hide them. Most humans that have a beastkin companion are always their slaves.

"Alright you can go, just don't make the same mistake as the guy you saw getting arrested."

"I would never do that."

"I hope not."

Ahko walked to the bored Layla and stood in front of her. Layla's eyes go to her when she notices someone is watching her, she can already tell this isn't going to be a good conversation.

"Can I help you...?" Layla asked.

"I would never expected you to be waiting for me."

"Ah- Wait, Ahko!" Layla yelled silently.

"I'm back.." Ahko sighed.

"W-Where the hell did you go these 2 weeks!?"

"Business."

"A- I know that but for 2 weeks!?"

"It's just business."

"I... You... Tch, Whatever now at least I don't have to wait for you anymore."

Layla looked towards the 2 girls behind her and noticed the tails and the ears.

"Who are these beastkins?"

"They are my slaves."

"How the fuck did you gain 2 slaves in 2 weeks."

"Like I said, business."

"Did you go to a slave auction or something? That shouldn't even take 2 days!"

"Just trying to find the good ones."

"What are you gonna fuck them?"

"Nope, but I can see their potential to be a great helper like you."

"Oh, you'll be a great healer." Ahko patted her shoulder.

"T-Thank you... I guess..." Layla quietly mumbles.

"Now let's go to the guilds, I'm annoyed by this crest."

"R-Right..."

As they went on the journey to the guilds, Layla couldn't help but notice the slaves were very demure and their hands were always clasped together in the front. She purposely slows her walk to try to speak with the slaves.

"Hey... Are you guys okay...?"

"..."

"..."

"This is my friend, you guys can talk like slave to master's friend." Ahko eliminates the unwanted awkward silence.

"Understood Mistress."

"As you wish Mistress." They say in unison.

"Is there anything you want to ask...?" The cat girl gazes towards Layla.

"Layla, my name is Layla..."

"Okay Miss Layla, is there anything you want to ask...?" The cat girl asked again.

"U-Uhm... What species are you two...?" Layla didn't know to ask anything so she asked the basic question.

"My name is Kate, and I'm an Arctic Fox."

"My name is Alya, and I am a Cat."

"W-When did you two meet Ahko...?"

"We met Mistress yesterday and she immediately bought us the second she saw us."

"It's an honor for us to serve Mistress.."

"... Ahko... How did you get these girls to be so tamed in a day...?" Layla gazes at Ahko.

"I treat them how they want to be treated."

"It's not even one day..."

"Another factor is that they were already tamed when I bought them."

"I didn't know the slave auction sells very tamed beastkins."

"They are extra expensive though."

Layla keeps striking up conversations with them but in the end, they always glaze their Mistress as if they would rather die than not complement Ahko.

Eventually, they arrived at the guilds, and many people looked at Layla weirdly.

"Isn't she from Derrick's party?"

"Yeah... I wonder if she leaves the party or gets fired from them."

"That's so sad..."

"Who is she with? Why are they tryna look mysterious?"

"Wait a minute... It's that figure that accepted the goblin dungeon destruction alone!"

The 2 beastkins clenched their fist when they heard the adventurers talking shit about their mistress, they were about to strike them but Ahko raise her hand, this is not the time to make any fuss about this. It's not rare for people to have ill thoughts than the good ones.

Even as they go into the guilds and get to Lydia's section they keep hearing these conversations. Ahko isn't bothered by it at all, in fact, she thrives with it, she wants the bad attention and then makes it turn into something everyone looks up to.

"Ah... So you did destroy the dungeon... Why did it take you so long...? And what happened to her party?"

Ahko extended her hand and put it on a shining orb on the right side of the desk. The thing about the orb is that it has so many functions in it, it can check the stats of an adventurer if they want an ID or just want to see their improvement, once the papers from the mission board get accepted by an adventurer, it can detect whether or not someone has completed the mission.

The orb shines bright yellow but not only that it keeps shining brighter and brighter making almost everyone blinded by it or can't ignore what is happening right now, the orb even cracked a little bit. Moments later, it dies down.

Everyone was shocked at the scene, something like this is so rare to happen, and most of them knew what this meant. That figure really did destroy the dungeon alone. The thing about the orb is the brighter it becomes means the person or party who completed the mission did so with an impressive feat, like when someone kills a powerful monster alone, the orb shines very brightly, and vice-versa, if a party kills a small monster the orb would only give a tiny amount of brightness. It doesn't detect the ranks or what abilities the people did rather it detects how great a feat they did. Otherwise, someone with an S rank could've killed an F-rank monster and gotten the top-tier brightness from the orb.

The figure stepped back and put her hand down seemingly unfazed by the brightness of the orb. Layla however gets blinded by the orb and has to rub her eyes multiple times, while the 2 slaves wouldn't dare to rub their eyes in front of their mistress.

"Successfully destroyed The Goblin Dungeon alone." The orb speaks and the crest on Ahko's hand slowly fades away.

"H-He really destroyed the dungeon alone!?" One of the doubted adventurers yelled.

"I didn't think we got a B rank in this city."

"W-When the last time we have a B rank in here?" 

"I don't know probably like 3 months ago."

Many adventurers are confused, adored, in denial, and jealous. Confused about how such a B rank can be in this city, adores the figure since it has redeemed him as a B rank adventurer, in denial since they wouldn't think someone bold enough to destroy the dungeon alone but quickly accepts it thinking the figure must be at least a B rank adventurer, jealous on the fact he shines amongst the crowded guild in a second, but there is only one person who knows the entire truth about the figure.

"So was the disappearance was you trying to become stronger...?"

"Layla, speak to her." Ahko stepped back allowing Layla to take the conversation.

"Uhm... Hi..." Layla lowered her head a little..

"Hey, where is your... Party...?" Lydia asked the obvious question.

"..." Layla knows this question will be brought up but she can't handle the traumatizing scene unfolding in front of her eyes, tears go down her cheeks and she's shaken by the scene, it keeps on repeating in her head over and over.

"H-Hey... I-It's okay if you can't say the reason... But maybe can you tell me what happened to them...? It's been 3 weeks..."

"D-D-D-Dead..."

"... They are dead...?"

"A-All of them..."

"All of them? And you are the only survivor...?"

"T-That is true..."

"... Did Ahko save you...?"

"..." Lydia lowers her head even further indicating that Ahko is probably the culprit of the party's death.

"What does that mean...? Lydia fortunately heard what she said.

"So you guys done?" Ahko jumps in.

"Yeah... Please wait a moment, I'll give you the rewards..."

"Wait."

"Huh?"

"The monster cores."

"Oh... Yeah..."

"Layla, where is it?" Ahko gazes towards her.

"Where is what...?" Layla confused.

"The bag filled with monster cores."

"You never give me the bag...?"

"... Well it looks like we don't have it." Ahko sighed that she forgot to give the bag to Layla when going to her business.

"... Ahahaha... It's okay... Just tell me the number and I'll give the rewards." Lydia laughs it off since some new adventurers forgot to get some sort of bag to collect the cores.

"... Around 400 normal goblins.. 40 Goblin shamans and 1 hog goblin."

"... That is a lot... are you sure...?"

"I have seen them myself, she did kill that many goblins..."

"... Did you purposely wait for a week to kill that many goblins?"

"Let's just say it's a short investment until a burden comes in and I have to destroy it."

"..." Lydia stares towards Layla whose expression tells her that the burden is the party.

"Okay... I'll be back..." Lydia went through the staff-only room.

Shortly after she comes back with a sack filled to the brim with bronze coins and one smaller sack that looks lightweight, she puts them in front of the desk.

"Alright... this one sack is the rewards for destroying the goblin dungeon which is 50000 bronze coins and the other one is how much goblin cores you collect and the reward is around 41000 bronze coins which I convert them to 41 silver coins if you didn't mind them."

"That's alright"

Ahko took the bag and gave it to her slaves behind her.

"Keep it safe." Ahko orders.

"Understood Mistress." The 2 slaves bow at the same time.

"So we'll meet later?" Ahko asked Lydia.

"Yeah..." Lydia nodded.

"I'll be going to your house."

"Okay..."
