The Novel’s Antagonist: I walk the path of a Villain

Chapter 105: Addiction

"Just… calm down," I said, taking a few steps back, hands raised in surrender. A poor attempt, really.

Because the madness in her eyes made it clear—this wasn't going to end well.

Thud!

The syringe I had been holding hit the ground, rolling to a stop near my feet.

Sigh.

So much for my grand plan. I had tried to outsmart her. Maybe even poison her. But, as luck would have it, that plan just backfired.

"That energy…" she purred, her voice a slow, indulgent whisper. "I want more~"

And in an instant—

BAM!

She vanished.

A rush of air hit me—then suddenly, she was right there, pressing against me, her body melting into mine as she captured my lips in a deep, consuming kiss.

My mind shut down for a second.

Then—

Shit!

I tried to pull away, to shove her off, but her arms locked around my neck, fingers curling possessively into my hair. Her lips moved hungrily against mine, pulling, not just physically but—

Something inside me moved.

My entire body trembled.

She was sucking my energy out.

I couldn't tell what exactly she was taking, but I could feel it, she was taking something from me.

Heat surged through my veins that made my muscles tremble. My strength bled from me, pouring into her.

No, no, no—this wasn't how it was supposed to go!

Her body shivered in delight, her nails pressing into my scalp as she deepened the kiss. I could hear her breath hitching, feel the way her entire frame quivered, her soft body making it difficult to focus on escaping.

You see…

This lady is actually, well—

A Succubus.

No, not the demon kind. Not even remotely related to one. She was once a princess of a noble house—not royal-blooded, but part of a ducal family. A house that used to be one of the most powerful in all of Illumion.

But now?

She's a goddamn energy-sucking monster.

Aka, a Succubus.

Okay, not technically a succubus since she isn't actually one. But something happened to her fifteen years ago. Something that turned her into this freak of nature. OP as fuck. Like, ridiculously powerful.

And, of course, it was the work of the Dark Church.

Those bastards.

Back then, she was already married into another ducal house—one with nearly the same standing in the hierarchy of power. The Trinikas. The thing was, the house she married into wasn't from Illumion but from the other empire, Yuphenia. And, obviously, it wasn't a marriage of love. It was one made for benefits.

See, the Trinikas ruled over a land—a dukedom, essentially. What made it special was that it bordered Illumion. Specifically, the land it bordered was none other than Neveria—the ducal house this lunatic once belonged to.

Both houses saw the massive benefits of forming a union under the supervision of both empires, turning their territory into the ultimate exchange zone between nations. And true to their expectations? They became just that. Making millions from merchants transporting their goods across borders.

But then, at some point, when she was about to visit her dukedom in Illumion…

She was ambushed.

Kidnapped.

By the Dark Church.

And that's when the experiments with her bloodline began.

Someone had leaked information—info that she possessed a special bloodline. A bloodline that had been sealed for generations.

And that bloodline was exactly what the Dark Church was after.

During their insane experiments, they not only awakened the sealed bloodline—unstable for some reason—but they also mutated it.

She went berserk with power.

Destroyed the entire facility.

She escaped.

But when she tried to return to her dukedom?

Her entire family had already been executed on treason charges.

She herself had been proclaimed dead.

And that's when she realized—this wasn't some random tragedy.

It was a scheme.

A big one.

She couldn't even return to her husband. He had already married another wife. And the worst part?

That new wife was her closest friend.

…Yeah.

But by that point, she no longer felt human.

Not even an ounce of human emotion.

Not even motherly affection.

So, she cared little for the daughter she left behind.

Who was, of course…

Shelly.

Yes.

Shelly Trinika.

This psycho is her freaking mom.

…Wait.

Shelly was also a villainess.

Guess it runs in the blood.

Anyway, even if she didn't care about her old life anymore, she did kill that friend of hers.

But her husband?

She spared him.

Why?

She didn't know.

Maybe, just maybe, there was still a sliver of humanity left in her.

Maybe she didn't want to leave her daughter without a father.

But now?

Now, she was nothing but a monster starving for energy.

And I was her fucking meal.

---

"Haaah… haaa…" I gasped, struggling to push her away. My arms trembled as I tried to break free from her grip, but she wasn't budging.

Her lips curled into a satisfied smirk.

My hands sank into her humongous boobs.

Tsk.

This is a problem.

She's trying to suck every last ounce of energy out of me.

She wants to drain me completely.

…This actually happened in the novel.

She…

Well…

Let's just say my biggest mistake was letting her taste my energy in the first place.

And the worst part?

It wasn't even intentional.

I just acted like I was going along with the flow.

My plan was to find a chance to inject Necrotox into her body.

Back when Ariana saved me from Miranda, I managed to snatch her spatial ring, and inside it—there were still a few doses left.

That's what I had in the syringe.

I wanted to inject her with the substance.

With her mana blocked, I should've been able to escape… right?

…Tsk.

I don't know anymore.

She already kissed me.

Already tasted my energy.

And before I could inject the Necrotox—

She slapped the syringe away.

I am so fucked.

This was exactly what happened in the novel.

But in the novel, Lorelle actually went all the way with her.

For some undisclosed reason, his energy got her addicted to him.

And to make matters worse—

She couldn't exhaust his energy.

So yeah.

That's the problem I was talking about earlier.

"Ahhh~" she moaned, her eyes rolling back in pleasure, spit dripping from her lips as the energy overwhelmed her.

"M-more~! MORE~!"

Her grip on my arms tightened. I could feel my body weakening, my vision blurring at the edges.

I tried to twist away, but she pinned me down. Her breath was hot against my skin.

No escape.

Just me.

And an energy-starved monster.

…Fuck me.
