Chapter 610 - 326: Chef Saint An Su_3
The head chef was sweating bullets, now facing a shortage of ingredients and not enough hands; he surely didn't want to provoke a Demon Dragon, as it was even fiercer than himself... He frantically searched for substitute ingredients, the pig's feet were used up... the cow's feet weren't enough either, he searched for ages, then suddenly froze, eyes bulging, staring blankly at An Su.
The young man in front of him began to heat oil in a wok, the red oil sizzled with bubbles as he tossed in finely chopped green onions and ginger, then stir-fried until they caramelized, and delicately poured over a sauce, finally putting the giant Mithril-handled knife used especially by giant trolls into the pot...
The aroma was overwhelming.
"It's ready," An Su revealed an innocent smile, lifting the dish out of the pot and onto a plate, "Braised Handle. Mr. Head Chef, according to our contract, I am to provide assistance, and you must accept it. I will satisfy the guests' cravings."
An Su was a professional Chef Saint, and through his many years of research, he regarded the handle as a rare extension of the hand.
You really turned the handle into a dish... The giant troll fell silent, could this possibly work?
Outside, the Demon Dragons had begun biting everything, "Roar, hurry up, make it good!"
"If it doesn't work," the giant troll muttered, "I'll just throw you out to be eaten by them, since you're only a temp, anyway."
Having no alternative, the giant troll saw that An Su's braised handle actually looked quite appetizing, with the caramel color concealing the true form of the handle, and tentatively allowed the waitstaff to serve it to the Demon Dragon Clan guests.
"Today's dish really has some bite, this flavor is zesty, ha ha, delicious."
The Demon Dragons, none the wiser, grabbed the handle and started gnawing, striving to wolf down the dish. Then, a crunch was heard, their faces went blank as they tentatively used their claws to fish something out of their mouths, only to find a mouth full of blood and shattered teeth.
Their teeth,
shattered.
Those Demon Dragon teeth that could have snapped through steel shattered on this very dish!
[Order Completed]
[Demon Dragon Clan: Datus Mann commented on your dish having quite the bite]
[Received Review: Crunchy!]
The giant troll head chef was completely stupefied, how could a mere handle possess such impressive hardness.
"See, problem solved. The guests won't be able to eat anymore, so no more cravings."
An Su explained to the dazed troll, "During the cooking process, I engraved 'Hardening Technique' Alchemy Runes on the handle, then reforged the Mithril structure over a fierce flame, reshaped the Magic Circuit, processed it three times, granting it additional sturdiness, and applied triple layers of defensive Arrays."
"..."
The giant troll was flabbergasted, I asked you to cook, not perform alchemy!
This is a kitchen, not a workshop!
The head chef thought he was invincible in the dark arts of cooking, revered as the 'Chef Saint', but in the following half-hour, he witnessed what it meant to be a Chef Saint.
The second dish, Spicy Numbing Human Hand.
Engraving Flame Magic onto the handle, it left the guests' mouths too burned to speak, earning the review [Delicious].
The third dish, Cold Mixed Human Hand.
Engraving Freezing Magic on the handle, the guests' tongues were frozen into ice blocks and then melted, earning the review [Drool-worthy].
The fourth dish, Sashimi Human Hand.
Sharpening the handle into a Mithril weapon and stabbing the guests with it, earning the review [Praise non-stop].
The giant troll huddled shakily in a corner, fearfully watching the Chef Saint concoct his dishes, witnessing the scene unfold.
Countless enchanted weapons were forcibly stuffed down the throats of the diners, blood splattering everywhere, no customer able to leave a bad review. And yet, the young man still wore that radiantly sunny smile, seemingly with genuine love for his craft, truly convinced that his creations were delectable.
By ten o'clock sharp, An Su's trial period had concluded.
He turned his smiling face towards the head chef, "Sir, my trial period is over; it's time for me to officially start working."
If the trial was this outrageous, how much more chaos would there be if he went full-time!
The giant troll created after-images with his head, afraid that if this continued, his establishment would be demolished and transformed into Nether's largest human alchemy workshop.
"But we've already signed the contract, I need work, otherwise no salary," An Su shook his head, "can't make money."
"You just come to work and do nothing," the giant troll smiled like a docile cat, terrified of An Su, "We'll still pay your salary, that's all you need to earn money."
The head chef just wanted to get rid of this plague of a Chef Saint, someone who could turn cooking into alchemy. With his pure and radiant appearance, who would've thought he harbored such chaos within?
A mere talent in humanity couldn't compare to An Su, this young master was humanity's handle!
He really caught the troll off guard, looking to try out his impromptu dishes.
"That's such a shame, really regrettable."
An Su said apologetically, he then erased the restaurant from his list, his plan to make money now one-third complete, and thus he turned his gaze on the second floor's Black Eight Hospital.
Once more, the youth showed his love for work with a smile.
What do you think?
