The Immortal Wife Is Like A Cloud

Chapter 1032: Jian Xin

Chapter 1032: Jian Xin

"This... it's broken just like that?"

"What level is Junior Brother Su at? Or did the Sect Master give him some secret treasure before we left?"

"That barrier just now, just by looking at its aura, you could tell that it wasn't something easy to deal with. How did he break it down so effortlessly?"

"..."

It took a full dozen breaths before the people behind Su Jingzhen started discussing again. Even though they had already become numb to many of Su Jingzhen's feats, they couldn't help but feel shocked once again.

Ever since they arrived in the Divine Shepherd Realm, every move Su Jingzhen made had challenged their understanding of the world. It was simply unbelievable!

"This guy..."

Huo Huang was at a loss for words. She had thought that this barrier would at least cause Su Jingzhen some trouble.

Shengana remained silent, still quietly contributing points.

Su Jingzhen's expression remained calm. He didn't feel any pride from breaking the barrier. After all, he was well aware that it was only thanks to the Seven-Colored Purifying Flame and Su Tuntun's devouring power that he had managed to do so.

After breaking through the barrier, the Divine Shepherd Sect's treasure pavilion was now clearly visible to everyone.

At the same time, a group of fifty to sixty young people dressed in black and carrying swords on their backs appeared.

These people exuded a sharp and imposing aura, but at this moment, they all looked visibly shaken.

It seemed like they couldn't quite believe that the barrier they had so carefully constructed had been so easily breached.

When Su Jingzhen had broken through the barrier, those inside the barrier had seen it clearly. The simpler Su Jingzhen made it look, the more it felt like a humiliation to them.

Seeing this group of black-clad individuals, the members of the Divine Dan Sect also grew serious.

They knew very well that these people were from the Sword Land of the Emperor's Realm.

Even though they still had boundless confidence in Su Jingzhen, the reputation of the Sword Land could not be underestimated.

As Su Jingzhen had said earlier, if a chaotic battle broke out, the Divine Dan Sect would inevitably suffer heavy casualties.

Including Lin Xiu, Liu Chuan, and the others, no one could guarantee that they would survive in the end.

Su Jingzhen was momentarily stunned, but then a faint smile appeared on his lips.

He cupped his hands in greeting toward the Sword Land members and said, "Su Jingzhen of the Divine Dan Sect greets all fellow Daoists of the Sword Land."

At this moment, Su Jingzhen's aura was calm, and he showed no signs of hostility.

The members of the Sword Land simply looked at him calmly.

In truth, after Su Jingzhen broke through their defenses twice in a row, the Sword Land members were also feeling extremely tense.

They had thought that a fierce battle was inevitable, but they hadn't expected Su Jingzhen to act so humbly in front of them.

Before the Sword Land members could react, Su Jingzhen's gaze fell on the person at the front of their group, the one with the most subdued aura.

"Are you the leader of this group of Sword Land disciples?" Su Jingzhen asked, his tone still gentle.

Everyone present was once again stunned, unsure of what Su Jingzhen was up to.

The person in question raised his eyebrows slightly. His handsome face remained cold as he replied, "Jian Xin."

He only gave his name, but it was also an indirect acknowledgement of Su Jingzhen's question.

"Just as arrogant as the rumors say," Huo Huang muttered under her breath after seeing Jian Xin's attitude.

Su Jingzhen glanced at the positions of the Sword Land members and then at the tower of the Treasure Pavilion behind them.

He continued, "I didn't come here because of the Treasure Pavilion behind you, so there's no need for the Sword Land Daoists to be so tense."

He could clearly see that Jian Xin and the other Sword Land members were still suspicious of him.

He could sense that most of their attention was focused on Bai Suzhen, who perched on his shoulder.

Without waiting for further questions, Su Jingzhen added, "I've been looking for the Sword Land members for some time now, but it's only to ask for information about someone."

Hearing these words, Ning Yao's expression became even more nervous.

However, the Divine Dan Sect members around her, including Jian Ling and Han Ganxue, were completely baffled.

Wait, what? How did this suddenly turn into a search for someone?

Jian Xin and the others also showed a hint of curiosity.

However, they remained cautious. A cultivator from the lower realms looking for members of the Emperor Realm's Sword Land just to ask about someone? It sounded incredibly strange.

Jian Xin, who rarely took the initiative to speak, said, "Daoist Su, feel free to speak plainly."

Jian Xin and the others were well aware of Su Jingzhen's recent accomplishments, so his tone held no arrogance.

"Does the Sword Land have a disciple named Zhang Xiu? She should have joined within the last year," Su Jingzhen said without further delay, his eyes filled with anticipation.

As soon as he finished speaking, the people behind him were stunned once again.

Yan Xia's heart trembled.

She and Su Jingzhen came from the same place, so she was very familiar with Zhang Xiu.

In her subconscious, she had always believed that Zhang Xiu had died on Clear Wind Mountain.

But now, Su Jingzhen was going to such lengths to ask about her.

Yan Xia immediately realized that there must be a big secret behind what happened back then.

Jian Ling, Han Ganxue, and the others were confused for a moment, but then they suddenly remembered. Back in the Four Rivers Region, they had gathered information on Su Jingzhen, and Zhang Xiu was naturally a part of his story.

As they came to this realization, they glanced at Ning Yao beside them.

"So that's how it is," Xuan Su murmured, gently patting Ning Yao's head, her eyes filled with pity.

Meanwhile, Lin Xiu and the other members of the Divine Dan Sect were completely lost.

When the Sword Land members heard this, they also looked puzzled. Clearly, the name of Zhang Xiu was unfamiliar to them.

However, after a few moments of silence, a female Sword Land disciple seemed to remember something. Her expression changed, and she whispered something to Jian Xin.

Jian Xin then turned to Su Jingzhen and said, "I am the current chief disciple of the Sword Land, and I am well aware of all the new disciples who have recently joined.

However, there is no one named Zhang Xiu among us."

Jian Xin said with absolute certainty.

Upon hearing this, Su Jingzhen and Ning Yao's eyes flashed with disappointment.

Su Jingzhen was certain that Zhang Xiu was still alive because he still received fixed emotional connection points from her every day.

And because of Bai Suzhen's past, Su Jingzhen was also sure that Zhang Xiu's disappearance back then had something to do with the Sword Master's sword energy.

So if Jian Xin was telling the truth, it could only mean that Zhang Xiu had not yet reached the Sword Land.

Or perhaps, after disappearing from Clear Wind Mountain and going to the Ancient Sword Sect in the Luo River region, she had not made her way to the Emperor Realm.

If that was the case, the trail would go cold.

Su Jingzhen opened his mouth to ask something more, but he didn't know what to say. After searching and holding onto hope for so long, it seemed like it had all come to nothing.

His heart was filled with disappointment.

At that moment, Bai Suzhen's voice suddenly rang out in Su Jingzhen's ear.

"He's hiding something. He's lying."
