Gu Ya had not yet returned, and the meal was all prepared. Mrs. Shen said to wait for their son-in-law Gu Ya to come back before they would eat together. Su Yunjin thought about it and suggested, “Dad, Mom, we don’t know when my husband will be able to return, and everyone is hungry now. After the fish soup, Su Yunjin went on to try the braised fish her mother had cooked. Mrs. Shen was skilled in cooking, and Su Yunjin inwardly thought that she would probably be fortunate with her meals during the next few days at the Su Family home. When traveling to the Su Family home, Su Yunjin had heard from her aunt that her eldest brother was not at home. As for why her brother Su Muze wasn’t home, her aunt did not clarify.

Now that she was no longer busy, Su Yunjin picked up a piece of braised fish with her chopsticks to eat and casually asked her mother, “Where’s elder brother? Why isn’t he at home?”

The previously cheerful atmosphere seemed to become heavy due to Su Yunjin’s question. Su Yunjin also felt the change in her parents and immediately asked, “Mom, did something happen to elder brother?”
