Behind her, Su Yunjin said, “Grandmother, by all means, call Grandpa back to make a scene! Today, you and Xiaofu, my younger cousin, have already caused enough of a spectacle for the entire village to enjoy. Make a scene one more time, Grandmother, and let our entire village come to the Su Family’s house to watch once more.”

After the commotion during the day, everyone in the village now knew about Mrs. Tao selling her second daughter and Su Xiaofu seducing men! The majority of the villagers spoke ill of Mrs. Tao and condemned Xiaofu for being shameless. If Mrs. Tao made a scene once more, nobody would blame Su Yunjin and her family for not helping Mrs. Tao harvest the millet; they were already separated from the family and had no obligation to help Mrs. Tao, especially after she had tried to sell her own daughter that very day. It would be perfectly understandable for them not to help her with the fields.

With Mrs. Tao gone, Su Ningxiu, the second elder sister, and their mother, Mrs. Shen, looked at Su Yunjin with some concern, “Yunjin, do you think Grandmother might really call Grandpa back?”

“No, she won’t! Mother, Ningxiu, don’t worry. Grandmother definitely won’t call Grandpa back,” Su Yunjin said with confidence. Besides, even if Mrs. Tao did call Grandpa back, it wouldn’t matter. Su Yunjin had her own ways to handle it!

Winking at her mother and Ningxiu, Su Yunjin looked sly like a little fox, “Mother, Ningxiu, if Grandmother really calls Grandpa back, don’t be afraid! I’m here!”

If Mrs. Tao didn’t mind tarnishing her reputation further, then Su Yunjin didn’t mind making it worse.

Standing to the side, Su Xiaobao looked up at Su Yunjin. Recalling how his step-grandmother’s face had turned livid with anger because of his sister, his eyes shone with admiration, “Third Sister, you’re amazing!”

Mrs. Shen came out of the house and immediately saw the three fish Su Zhongshi was carrying, “Husband, did you go fishing in the river again?”

“Our son-in-law and Yunjin are visiting, so I went to the river and caught a few fish!” Su Zhongshi doted on his daughter and knew that there wasn’t much meat at home. Fortunately, the village had many rivers, and if they wanted to eat meat, they could go fishing! Su Zhongshi had spent the whole afternoon fishing and had a not-so-small catch of three fish.
