James Ye couldn't help but feel his appetite grow at the sight of the dishes Maria Han had prepared. However, out of politeness, he refrained from immediately digging in and instead took the initiative to pour drinks for the two ladies.

Then, he raised his glass with a smile and said, "Auntie Han, Paul, welcome back to China, welcome back to Jinling, and welcome to our home. Let's have a toast together."

Christopher Xiao quickly chimed in, "Yes, yes, let's have a drink to welcome you and wash away the dust of your journey!"

Maria Han raised her drink and said sincerely, "Thank you so much for your hospitality. I never expected to have a homemade meal at an old classmate's house on my first day back in Jinling. I'm truly grateful."

Christopher laughed and said, "Maria, we've been old classmates for so many years. There's no need to be so formal over such a small matter!"

He continued, "Besides, today's meal is all thanks to you. I just helped out a little. It's quite embarrassing to have an old classmate come over and then have them cook."

Maria Han smiled and said, "There's nothing to be embarrassed about. We agreed that I would cook today."

James Ye smiled and said, "Come on, let's finish this first glass!"
