The Extra Seeks Chaos

Chapter 208: A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do

The moon was already up high in the sky, casting a warm glow on the world below.

The arena city was silent as all the students had already left a long time ago, and the participants were in the dorm building sleeping peacefully.

Arin glanced at Roxanne who was still staring outside, the moon's glow bathing her face.

About an hour ago, a lady had already come to give Arin his clothes, and with one look, he could tell that they were indeed, his size.

"Maybe they got our measurements from the Academy," Arin muttered as he stared at the clothes that were on the bed.

That aside, it was time to initiate his plan.

This was one of the two reasons why he decided to participate in the tournament.

"At least, one thing didn't change, if not, it would have jeopardized the plan."

In the novel, the participants also stayed in a dorm building in the arena after the tournament.

Because of the way things that happened in the novel relating to the tournament were changing, he had a feeling that the participants staying in a dorm building in the arena might also change, but thankfully, it didn't change.

"And his room number is also the same like in the novel."

"Seraphine, we'll be starting in a few minutes. Are you ready?"

"Yes, I'm ready," Seraphine said. "Though, you'll be owing me two rewards now!"

Arin sighed before nodding. "Okay..."

He had once promised her that he would allow her take a walk for doing a good job in battling Alex, but till now, he still hadn't kept to his promise.

"Don't worry. I'll keep to my promise," Arin said.

"Hmph, okay..."

He had already explained the details of the plan to Seraphine when they were still in the Academy, so she already knew what to do.

"Now, we just have to wait a little while longer for the students to FULLY be asleep," Arin murmured.

"Uhm, Arin..."

Arin raised his head as soon as he heard Roxanne's voice.

She walked towards him, her expression filled with nervousness.

"I also know about the plan, so... so, c-can I help?"

Arin and Seraphine had once talked about the plan when Roxanne was present, so it wasn't surprising that she knew about it.

"I think she can aid the plan," Seraphine said. "If me and her act along, it'll bring confusion, which will be perfect."

Arin understood what Seraphine was saying. He squinted his eyes before nodding. "Okay, perfect."

Roxanne lowered her head again. "I'm happy to be of help."

Arin explained a few things to Roxanne, and finally, it was time.

Both Seraphine and Roxanne stepped out of the room, and Arin locked the door.

He sat down on his bed as he squinted his eyes. "This plan will work... I'm sure of it."

Meanwhile, Seraphine and Roxanne were now standing just outside Arin's room.

A waist-high black railing lined the outer walkway, overlooking the courtyard far below.

"Alright, go ahead," Seraphine said.

Roxanne nodded and instantly jumped over the railing. She descended quickly, arriving on the ground without a single sound.

After that, she dashed towards the right, disappearing into the darkness.

Seraphine nodded after seeing this, ready to carry out her own part of the plan.

She began walking to the right, and stopped in front of a door that had the number '47' written on it.

She placed her right hand on the door, and released a small bit of her Blood Energy.

The Blood Energy instantly passed through the gap below the door, entering the room.

At the same time, Seraphine quickly turned back and jumped over the railing. She landed on the ground and dashed towards the left, also disappearing into the darkness, though, she stopped at one point where she was able to see the building and the top floor.

BAM!

The door instantly swung open, revealing Alex who had a furious expression. His eyes were darting around rapidly as if he was looking for something.

"What I just sensed... It's definitely Blood Energy..."

He walked forward and closed the door before walking towards the railing. He looked below.

"Those damn Vampires... What the hell are they doing here?"

He could still sense the Blood Energy, so he decided to follow it.

"I must kill that Vampire today," he muttered, his eyes burning with fury as he remembered a certain dude called Chaos.

Though, he knew that this Vampire was not Chaos, because the two times Chaos had attacked him, he didn't do it in a hidden manner.

He openly attacked like he didn't have a single fear in the world.

"No... I believe it's another Vampire, after all, Vampires apart from Chaos have been appearing lately."

Alex instantly jumped down, but as soon as he landed on the ground, his eyes widened.

The Blood Energy he was sensing was leading to two different directions, left and right.

"W... What? Are there two different Vampires? Or is it the same Vampire?"

"If it's the same Vampire, then why is the Blood Energy leading to two different directions?"

He squinted his eyes as he made a wild guess. Instantly, he dashed to the left.

Roxanne who was hiding behind a boulder at the right saw Alex dashing towards the left.

Without wasting time, she began running, going towards the back of the dorm building.

She had also released her Blood Energy before, that was why Alex could sense Blood Energy from the left and also from the right.

As for Seraphine, because she had controlled her Blood Energy to move directly into Alex's room before she jumped, the other students didn't sense anything.

After jumping down, her Blood Energy was still being released a bit, and only one girl was able to sense it in her sleep.

"Hmm... What is that Energy?" The girl mumbled in her sleep.

"Maybe it's nowthfing," the girl mumbled incoherent words before shutting up.

Meanwhile, Roxanne had already arrived behind the dorm building, and could see Arin's window.

Arin was still seated on the bed, but he suddenly heard a small sound, and when he looked at the window, he saw a red chain.

The red chain hooked to the window's handle, and in an instant, a figure leaped into the room.

It was Roxanne.

The chain instantly disappeared from her hand, before speaking, "he has left."

That was the only thing Arin needed to hear.

A smile formed on his face as he walked towards the door.

"Thank you, Roxanne," he muttered before walking out.

With inaudible steps, he walked towards Alex's room, and just like he had planned, the door wasn't locked.

Because Alex wanted to pursue the Vampire, he only closed his door, but didn't lock it.

And this made Arin able to enter.

With a grin on his face, Arin stepped into the room.

"Stealing is bad, but well, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do..."
