The Nurse and the Patient

"Won’t pressing so hard hurt him?"

"What? Oh…"

At Lee Hyuk's comment, the nurse attending to Hyesung’s hand offered an awkward smile and muttered something about being more careful.

"If you’re going to keep doing this, Mister, maybe you should go back to your room," Hyesung snapped at Lee Hyuk, his tone icy. He then quickly apologized to the nurse, bowing his head slightly. Fortunately, she didn’t seem too bothered and continued with her work.

"Don’t forget you have your pheromone test and checkup later today," the nurse reminded him.

"Yes, thank you."

As soon as the nurse left, Hyesung turned to glare at Lee Hyuk, who seemed completely unfazed, as if he hadn’t done anything wrong.

"Your room is next door, you know."

"I know."

"Then why are you spending all day here?"

Despite the fact that they were both patients in the hospital, Lee Hyuk had practically moved into Hyesung’s room. From the moment he woke up, he would come to Hyesung’s room, where they would eat breakfast together. The same routine followed for lunch and dinner. It had gotten to the point where the nurses were bringing two meals to Hyesung’s room without even needing to be asked.

After their meals, Lee Hyuk would handle his work, but if Hyesung ever felt cooped up and suggested going for a walk, Lee Hyuk would immediately close his laptop and join him. In short, he was always by Hyesung’s side, except when they were asleep.
