Chapter 792: We Will Meet Again!
Early in the morning, the Link Family residence was still buzzing with the events of the previous night. The shocking alchemical display by Kent King, which produced a perfect-quality pill, had left the entire Link Family in stunned silence.
The patriarch already wrote a letter to the Purple Cloud alchemist association about Kent King and the perfect pill. He attached a red stone to the letter which recorded the performance of Kent's pill refining.
On the next morning, a loud THUD echoed through the front gates.
It was Daku King, Kent's father, striding in with urgency, his eyes burning with purpose.
"Kent!" Daku King called out, his deep voice carrying through the halls. "Enough of your alchemy lessons. It's time."
Kent, seated in the library with a book still in hand, slowly closed it and turned his sharp gaze toward his father.
"Time for what?" Kent asked, though he already knew the answer.
Daku King exhaled sharply. "Your challenge against Bai Gao. The entire city is waiting for you at the Royal Arena. The Emperor himself will be present. The princess also came to watch… Hurry up!"
The moment he mentioned the challenge, the Link Family members stiffened. Patriarch Don Link, who had been observing Kent closely since last night, finally spoke.
"Young Master Kent," Don Link said hesitantly. "After what you displayed yesterday, are you sure you want to waste your time with meaningless battles? You have the talent to surpass even the greatest alchemists. Why risk your life in a battle that is clearly meant to kill you?"
Kent smirked, his tone casual yet firm. "Because the world still sees me as Kaban King. Until I erase that name from their minds, everything I do will be questioned."
Daku King nodded approvingly. "That's the right mindset."
Without another word, Daku King turned to leave, expecting Kent to follow him to the Royal Arena.
As they reached the grand entrance, Daku King stepped onto his Chariot, a majestic vehicle reserved for the most elite members of the King Family.
But Kent had other plans.
With a low, rumbling roar, Sparky, the Golden Dragon, materialized from Kent's special storage ring. The moment the enormous dragon unfurled his massive wings, a gust of wind swept through the estate, causing the surrounding trees to sway violently.
The Link Family members gasped in awe.
Kent leaped onto Sparky's back with effortless grace.
"You ride a chariot, father" Kent said with a smirk, looking down at his father. "But I prefer the sky."
Then, with a mighty flap of his dragon's wings, Kent soared into the sky, leaving behind a trail of golden flames.
Daku King shook his head, both in admiration and exasperation. "This brat never does things the ordinary way."
By the time Kent reached the Royal Arena, the massive coliseum was already overflowing with people.
Thousands had gathered—commoners, nobles, warriors, and even officials from the Emperor's court—all eager to witness the brutal downfall of Kent King.
"KILL KENT KING!" "RAPIST KENT KING!" "SELF-DEFEATING, KILL HIM!" "TRASH LIKE HIM DOESN'T DESERVE TO LIVE!"
The deafening roars of hatred filled the air as Kent and Sparky descended directly into the arena, causing a thunderous BOOM as the dragon's massive body landed.
Silence.
The crowd stared in shock. They had expected Kent to arrive in disgrace, trembling with fear.
But instead, he arrived on the back of a legendary dragon, his presence commanding the attention of every soul present.
Even the Emperor, seated on the highest podium, raised an eyebrow in mild surprise.
"Interesting," the Emperor muttered under his breath.
Daku King and his wife arrived shortly after, taking their seats among the distinguished guests.
Kent, standing tall in the center of the arena, looked around at the sea of hostile faces.
"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk." Kent sighed dramatically. "For a crowd that claims to hate me, you sure came in large numbers. I must be quite popular."
His casual arrogance only fueled their anger.
At that moment, a loud whoosh filled the air as Bai Gao soared into the arena, landing with a thunderous impact.
The cheers that erupted for Bai Gao were deafening.
He stood across from Kent, his arms crossed, his red battle robes flowing in the wind.
"Kent King, today, you will die." Bai Gao's voice echoed across the arena.
Kent tilted his head, amused. "Oh? I thought this was just a friendly duel."
"You should know the rules, Kent King," Bai Gao sneered. "If the challenger loses, the victor has the right to kill them on the spot."
"I see…" Kent nodded slowly. Then, with a smirk, he added, "But that means if I win, I get to kill you, right?"
The arena fell silent.
Bai Gao's face twisted in anger. "Arrogant fool!"
But before they began verbal war, the royal wizard interrupted them. Soon, the formalities were completed, a red stone was placed to record the fight. The officials overseeing Genius list approached the ring to witness the fight closely.
The princess who always despised Kaban, only came to see the death and humiliation of Kent. But she was quite surprised by the handsome face of Kent. Until this moment, she has a strong belief that there are no men in the red Silk country who can match her beauty. But she felt quite insecure in front of the handsome face of Kent who has long flowing silky hair with baby-like skin, narrow Eyes and slightly reddish lower lip.
"You may Begin…" The Royal wizard announced.
A sudden boom of energy erupted from Bai Gao's body.
"War of Eternity!" Bai Gao roared.
In an instant, an illusion of thousands of armored warriors materialized behind him. The entire arena trembled as they charged forward like a tidal wave.
The sight of thousands of ghostly war horses and warriors rushing toward Kent was enough to make even seasoned fighters shudder.
But Kent?
Kent just sighed. "I was hoping for something more creative."
Without hesitation, he raised his right hand.
"One is All… All is One!"
A powerful gust of energy burst from Kent's palm, sweeping across the battlefield. In the blink of an eye, the entire army vanished—erased from existence as if they had never been summoned.
Gasps of horror erupted from the audience.
"HOW?!" Bai Gao's eyes widened in absolute shock.
Kent cracked his knuckles lazily. "Come on, Bai Gao. Show me something impressive. You're boring me."
Bai Gao gritted his teeth, pouring all of his mana into strengthening his spell.
The chariots and Armies returned—larger, more powerful than before.
Kent smiled. "Alright, my turn."
He vanished.
In a blink, he reappeared directly in front of Bai Gao, palm raised.
"Old Suitcase."
Kent slammed his palm into Bai Gao's chest with terrifying force.
BOOM!
The impact sent shockwaves rippling through the arena.
Bai Gao's body flew backward, crashing into the ground, skidding across the arena floor like a ragdoll.
The entire arena fell deathly silent.
Bai Gao, coughing up blood, tried to crawl back to his feet.
But Kent wasn't done.
With a swift kick, Kent stomped on Bai Gao's legs, breaking them instantly.
"AHHHH!" Bai Gao screamed in agony.
The audience gasped in horror. No one expected such a one-sided defeat.
Kent turned his gaze toward the Emperor's podium.
"Your Majesty, I believe I just claimed the 33rd position on the Genius List, correct?"
The Emperor smirked, eyes gleaming with amusement.
"Indeed, Kent King. You have won."
Kent grinned. "Then I suppose I'll be seeing you all again soon. For the 13th Position." Kent announced boldly.
As the crowd remained stunned in silence, Kent turned and walked away, leaving behind a ruined Bai Gao—and an entire empire that would never see him as "just Kaban King" ever again.
The princess was staring at Kent with a wide open mouth. Beside her, the Princess sister was eyeing Kent with a lustful state as she bit her lips.
What do you think?
