A lone Tau Wu took advantage of a disciple’s guard being down, grabbed his clothes in its jaws and dragged him towards the forest.

The disciple cried out in pain,
Ye Chen attacked twice but missed. Worried about hitting the disciple, he didn’t dare to attack again.

Ye Chen quickly chased after the Tau Wu, with two of his men following him. “The rest of you, stay in the forest and be alert. Don’t get surrounded again.” he called out, suspecting a trick.

He had to rescue the disciple.

Boom! Close on the heels of the Tau Wu, it ran swiftly; however, the disciple was still alive as he could still yell. Ye Chen was determined to rescue him. After a few kilometers, they were about to lose sight of the Tau Wu, when Ye Chen leaped into the air and struck it with a massive palm attack. His energy traveled a good twenty to thirty yards, finally hitting the Tau Wu and tearing the disciple’s clothes free. The Tau Wu attempted to bite the fallen disciple again, but Ye Chen launched another palm attack and stopped it in its tracks.

Noticing Ye Chen was only a dozen yards away, the Tau Wu seemed to recognize his strength and quickly gave up.

Ye Chen and his men hurriedly went over to the disciple.

The two men who had followed him rushed over and Ye Chen stood atop a small hill, looking towards the front where a large cave appeared about three hundred feet away. The Tau Wus, like they had found their homes, continually flowed into the cave.

Again, Ye Chen heard a series of cries. It sounded like a starving child crying for its mother, it was crystal clear and terrifying. The sound was coming from the cave.

A disciple arrived and saw numerous Tau Wus rushing towards the cave entrance. “That must be their den,” he said.

Ye Chen nodded and asked, “How’s the disciple doing?”

“He’s injured, but not in danger of dying.”

Ye Chen turned back to find another disciple tending to the injured one’s wounds. Worried that the Tau Wus might return, he said, “Don’t just stand there, let’s leave this place fast. Who knows when they might reappear and we won’t be able to escape.” They shouldn’t stay here for long.

“Yeah, we can eliminate them next time.”

“Let’s discuss that later.”
