Chapter 893: Chapter 893: Personal Assistant

Tian Xin watched as Lin Shen paced back and forth in front of him, yet he simply couldn’t look on with approval because there was now a woman by Lin Shen’s side.

Since Lin Shen had returned to the Giant Ring Star, this woman had been constantly at his side, giving off the impression of never leaving him, which made Tian Xin frown deeply.

The woman wore a veil, and although her face was not visible, her figure alone was exceptionally fine.

“What kind of assistant?” Tian Xin asked Yan Ruyu with a cold look.

“Life, work, and other aspects,” Yan Ruyu replied, still calm.

“So, you mean a personal assistant, and you even have to work overtime at night?” Tian Xin’s words were harsh, but he couldn’t allow such a woman to be around Lin Shen, fearing that Tian Xun might get hurt because of it.

He would rather be the villain himself than see Tian Xun suffer even the slightest harm.

“Mr. Lin Shen has a need, I am on standby twenty-four hours a day,” Yan Ruyu replied as if she hadn’t understood the implication in Tian Xin’s words, still as calm.

A chill flashed in Tian Xin’s eyes as his fingers suddenly moved with unbelievable speed, aiming a poke at Yan Ruyu’s brow.

But in front of Yan Ruyu, Tian Xin’s move was still too slow.

“Release him,” Lin Shen said to Yan Ruyu. “If there’s a next time, you can handle him however you like.”

Yan Ruyu then let go of the screaming Tian Xin, stepped back, and said nothing.

Tian Xin, teeth clenched in anger, glared at Lin Shen and Yan Ruyu. He felt shocked as well. As a Nirvana Being, he was incredibly fast among those of the Nirvana Level. Yet Yan Ruyu was even faster than him, so much so that he couldn’t even see her strike. Such strength was truly terrifying.

“Do all women nowadays lose their sight? Why do all the formidable women fall for Lin Shen, that pretty boy? His face isn’t even as white as mine, so why don’t they mess with me instead of chasing after him?” Tian Xin grumbled inwardly. He didn’t dare to take action again, but still, he glared at Lin Shen and said resentfully, “You’re so brazen. Do you really think you can bully my cousin like that?”

“Where did you get that idea? She really is my assistant. Your cousin, where is she? Why isn’t she here?” Lin Shen asked, sitting on the couch.

“She’s gone to see the Demon Master Lou Ran,” said Tian Xin, suddenly becoming concerned.

“What would she want with the Demon Master Lou Ran?” Lin Shen asked, his face full of confusion.

“What else? The situation is too chaotic now. With Demon Master Lou Ran lurking on Giant Ring Star, it’s a constant trouble. My cousin went to see why he has chosen to live in solitude here—if he can be of use to us, that’s best; but if not, we’ll have to ask him to leave,” Tian Xin explained.

“Is she alright?” Lin Shen got up, ready to rush to the Demon Master Lou Ran’s location.

Lin Shen didn’t know how strong Demon Master Lou Ran truly was, but as a well-known figure of the Taiger Clan, Lou Ran was surely not an easy opponent. Lin Shen feared that Tian Xun might be at a disadvantage.

“Don’t worry. My second brother went with her,” Tian Xin said, feeling somewhat better as he saw Lin Shen’s concern for Tian Xun.

“That’s a relief.” Lin Shen was slightly more reassured, but still intended to visit Demon Master Lou Ran.

Before Lin Shen could leave the island, he saw three people flying toward it. In the blink of an eye, they landed on the island—it was indeed Tian Xun, Tie, and a tiger-headed person.

Lin Shen wasn’t really able to distinguish the Taiger People by their looks; to him, they all looked much the same. He could only tell them apart by their clothing and aura, but the attire of this tiger-headed person was not familiar to him.

Nevertheless, this Taiger must be Demon Master Lou Ran, though Lin Shen wondered whether he had been subdued by Tian Xun and Tie or something else had happened.

“Boy, have you delivered the message I entrusted to you?” Demon Master Lou Ran, seeing Lin Shen and Tian Xin, instantly glared, seeming rather upset.

“We have,” Lin Shen replied after glancing at Tian Xun and seeing her give a slight nod.

“What did she say?” Demon Master Lou Ran’s eyes suddenly lit up, staring intently at Lin Shen.

“She said that the previous agreement doesn’t count anymore,” Lin Shen relayed exactly what Lou Ran had said to Demon Master Lou Ran.

Upon hearing this, Demon Master Lou Ran’s expression turned cold: “Is that truly what she said?”

“I feared you wouldn’t believe me, which is why I was hesitant to tell you,” Lin Shen sighed.

“Hmph, does she think just by saying it doesn’t count, it doesn’t? She might be underestimating me, Lou Ran, too much. Sooner or later, I’ll personally settle that account,” Demon Master Lou Ran said coldly. Without dwelling further on the issue, he surveyed Lin Shen and Tian Xin, then said to Tian Xun, “Are these the two lads you wanted me to teach?”

“Indeed,” Tian Xun nodded slightly.

“Alright, kneel and pay your respects as my disciples now,” commanded Demon Master Lou Ran, taking a seat on a nearby chair with an air of authority, waiting for Lin Shen and the other to kneel and become his disciples.

Lin Shen, puzzled, looked at Tian Xun and asked, “What’s this all about?”
