Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts

Chapter 727: Bloodstone

"…" Sera was staring into an empty space for over an hour with such a grim expression.

"What's wrong? You don't look good. Has something bad happened?" Noelle asked.

Sera looked down, unable to answer that question. In fact, she was still considering that information in her head.

A moment ago.

"You've finally come, Serafina." The Pope smiled.

"Fortunately, I haven't disappointed you, Teacher." Sera nodded.

"Indeed. I have just gotten the report from other areas. They have managed to take down the Crimson Skeleton as well as the Dark Arena. I have sent my subordinates to apprehend the bishop and will execute him.

"As promised, I will be granting you the chance to enter the vault to get the item for Archangel Uriel.

"Get the flame sword imbued by the divine power. This should be enough to summon Archangel Uriel." The Pope nodded.

"Thank you, Teacher." Sera accepted the reward.

"I will send you the rest of the reward, such as the cores and money, at a later date. Is there anything you'd like to ask?"

"None."

The Pope fell silent for a moment before asking, "Are you sure you don't have any questions for me?"

"Yes."

"Looking at your group, it's clear that your aim is to explore the alien territory. And I think I know your first target…"

"First target?" Sera tilted her head in confusion.

"Selena Ashton is in your group, right?"

"!!!" Sera raised her eyebrows.

"Well, it's just something I once heard from Duke Sullivan in the past. Has it been ten years since I heard it?"

"Do you know something about it?" Sera raised her eyebrows. "Selena is planning to search for her father. And Duke Sullivan is the key to finding him. He set a requirement for us. It's to defeat a warrior class alien."

"He said that before the disaster?"

"Yes."

"Then, it's most likely he's going to increase the requirement."

"That's what Nathan said."

The Pope nodded. "I see. Although I don't know the requirements he is going to impose on you, I will tell you something about her father as a separate reward.

"If I need to put it simply, it's for Bloodstone."

"Bloodstone?!" Sera squinted her eyes.

"Yes. You know about the Asura Palace, right?"

"The kingdom that was the strongest but destroyed because of the alien's appearance?"

"Yes." The Pope raised one finger. "The Asura loved to fight and murder. However, there's one more thing he likes. It's a round jewel.

"During his reign, there were a lot of round-shaped jewels in his palace. Of course, whenever he went, he would also bring out a jewel. People called it a lucky charm.

"Still, this jewel was around him for a long time. Whenever he killed people, this jewel would be covered in blood.

"The rumor said that the jewel, which was originally clear like a crystal, turned blood red after getting dyed by blood for decades.

"And people called this jewel 'Bloodstone.' With the reputation of the Asura Palace as well as the origin of this jewel, there was a race to obtain this jewel.

"I'm pretty sure Selena's father was one of them."

"!!!" Sera gasped. "Then… He…"

"I don't know about his condition since I don't know him personally. The only thing I know is the item.

"However, just looking at the situation, it's pretty clear. There is a father who loves his daughter dearly. He wished the best for her, but the family had a prejudice against female summoners in their family.

"To break free of that curse, he searched for an item so good that a vampire progenitor would come out of it.

"If you think of it that way, Count Ashton must be risking his life for her sake. That's all I know. If you wish to know the truth, you should go to Sullivan.

"From what I know, Sullivan was once involved in that project as well. So, he might know the location of her father. If you wish to tell Selena about this information, so be it. I know you're wise enough to choose whether you should or not."

"I understand. Thank you very much, Teacher." Sera lowered her head.

"I don't know when you're planning to go, but you should at least visit Sullivan one more time to check the requirements. With a clear requirement and a path to get that information, you should be able to assess when is the right time to go.

"At the very least, Nathan will be able to see it and can't stop Selena from going if it's definitely possible.

"All I know is that… If her father is still alive, he must have used something to preserve his life, and waiting for another year or two should be fine.

"Instead of rushing and getting yourself killed, I'm sure it's better to wait and build up your strength. Please tell her that if you end up telling her about the bloodstone."

"Yes, Teacher. Thank you for all the information." Sera nodded.

"In that case, I'm done here. Take this." The Pope handed over a white badge. "You should be able to grab an item by bringing this badge to the vault."

"Yes."

When Selena recalled this conversation, her expression turned grimmer, wondering if she should tell Selena about it or not. As her friend, she wanted to support her. At the same time, she worried that Selena might slip away.

That was why she had been waiting for Nathan before making a decision.

Whether it was fortunate or unfortunate, Flora suddenly entered the house, finding Noelle and Sera inside.

"Oh! You guys are here. We're done with our mission! Do you know where Selena and Alavenya are? I have to tell them we're safe." Flora playfully asked.

Seeing Flora's return, Sera suddenly stood up and walked to Flora. "They should be somewhere in the city. However, there's one thing we need to do first.

"Where is Nathan right now?" Sera grabbed her hand, intending to force her to bring her to Nathan.

"Nathan?" Flora was confused at first, but it looked serious, so she brought Sera to Nathan.
