Suddenly, I Became a Slime

Chapter 131

My perfect plan ultimately fell apart under my own scrutiny.

The reason was simple. Expanding my body with a mass of jelly felt great. It had been a while since I experienced an elevated view, and I was thrilled.

To be honest, when I became a giant, it felt too surreal to leave much of an impression. This time, however, the size increase was more realistic and left a deep impact on me.

...If someone asked whether growing larger itself wasn’t unrealistic, I’d have no defense. But since no one could read my thoughts to criticize me, I didn’t care.

In any case.

Feeling good, I even hugged the jellies in my arms. So why did I abandon that form?

It’s because my face didn’t match my body at all.

While the curvaceous body—admittedly influenced by my taste—was impressive and pleasing, my young face perched atop it made the entire appearance grotesque.

The clothes Han Seori and Yang Hana gave me didn’t fit either. On this face, the sensual body looked like unnecessary baggage.

No matter how much one argued that I was youthful-looking, this was just too much.

The bizarre mismatch eventually forced me to release the jelly.

There was another reason too.

My reflection—with plump jelly breasts hugged by smaller jellies—looked distinctly feminine. It made me feel strange, especially when I avoided looking at my face.

When I first became a small jelly girl, I was startled but didn’t pay much attention to my appearance. Perhaps I hadn’t had the luxury to care.

By the time I had adapted to examining my own body, I had already grown used to it.

Besides, the jelly form was not drastically different from my original body.

Flat chest, flat lower body—practically nothing there. The sensation of hair swishing was akin to feeling my arms or thighs brushing.

Not needing to use the restroom, I couldn’t fully grasp the concept of having a female body, even as a small girl.

But the larger form was different.

Anyone could see the voluptuous chest, accentuated by a slim waist, broad hips, and gleaming thighs.

The sense of incongruity within me was inevitable.

Uncomfortable with this form, I feigned composure as I released the jelly under everyone’s gaze.

I’m not sure how I appeared to them, but that’s how it was for me.

...Even if my face had matched my body, would I still have released the jelly? I’m not sure.

There’s a reason the saying “live according to your appearance” exists.

Anyway.

The group, including Hwangbo Yul, whose presence here remained unexplained, left the room with various expressions.

Yang Hana’s nonsensical chatter as she clung to me made me feel strange, but nothing came of it.

As peace returned to "my room," what remained were a tray of sweet desserts, jellies, and...

The mass of jelly I had summoned, staring blankly.

I had called the nearby ones, but I wasn’t sure where they’d come from. To send them back, I’d have to visit the control room, but...

That felt like a hassle, so I decided to leave them be for now.

Not just because I was lazy...

But because Daesik seemed to like them.

Proving my point, Daesik, seemingly fascinated by the smaller jellies, approached and poked them with its doll-like hands.

Though Daesik was covered by a doll, making me suspect aggression, the jelly mass accepted Daesik’s touch, perhaps recognizing it as one of their own.

Daesik, clearly enjoying itself, repeatedly poked the small jellies before turning to me and flapping its doll-like hands. It didn’t speak, but the joy in its gestures made me smile and nod in response.

Deciding when and how to send them back... seemed unnecessary.

Seeing them interact, I felt I’d prefer to keep the little jellies here.

After a while of poking the jellies, Daesik began crumbling leftover chocolates from the tray over them.

The small jellies, excited by the gesture, began bubbling.

...Was this their first taste of sweet dessert?

Judging by how they swarmed Daesik as it sprinkled chocolate, it seemed likely.

It looked like feeding goldfish in a bowl.

From the outside, it was a bizarre sight—jellies clinging to a doll-like girl. But from a jelly perspective, it felt like an older sister taking care of her younger siblings.

If Daesik could express emotions, what kind of face would it make?

Probably a smile.

Honestly, the idea of a doll smiling felt a bit creepy.

This thought led me to wonder if, somewhere in the world, there existed a doll that moved like a person.

If such a thing existed, would it make a good gift for Daesik? No, why was I already planning gifts for something that might not exist?

Shaking my head, I turned from Daesik and the jellies to see Sosik lying on the bed.

At first, I thought it was asleep, but its open eyes suggested otherwise.

Like me, Sosik seemed to observe the world through those small forms. Yet, when it slept, its eyes closed, so it must have been awake.

Its head...

[Wow, friends! It’s Spinny!]

...was fixated on a TV showing a suspiciously shiny-headed penguin character.

How did it find such a channel without being told?

Sosik, clearly enjoying itself, dragged Jungsik over with its tendrils and placed it beside the bed.

Jungsik, seemingly content with Sosik’s touch, settled in to watch TV with it.

...They’re having fun.

I was relieved they weren’t fighting, though something about the situation felt off.

Still, I didn’t feel the need to intervene.

As long as they weren’t harming people, wasn’t it fine? Among ourselves, as long as we weren’t eating each other, anything goes.

...In truth, I’m probably the only one capable of eating them.

It’s my responsibility to be careful.

Planning to watch the news, I joined Sosik on the bed, watching the channel it had chosen.

If I had to leave a review...

The unnaturally shiny-headed penguin annoyed me, but the content was surprisingly enjoyable.

It made me realize that modern kids’ shows were well-crafted.

Feeling this as a jelly was unexpected and strange, though not unpleasant.
