Strongest Superhuman System

Chapter 841: Fight

A massive shockwave traveled across the air, tearing the clouds in half and breaking the already destroyed continent even further from the force alone!

Mark brought his hand up to look at it in shock.

That was far too much.

Mark didn't even plan to use that much power to touch him!

[The user used an excess of his divine strength to attack the enemy, and that is what resulted in the damage. The user needs practice in order to learn how to gauge his strength now that he possesses divine power.]

Mark sighed tiredly since he knew that this was just going to be more training. Mark had already gone through this when he became a superhuman, and now that he was a god, he still had to train. Fuck.

[Mark?]

Mark heard his name being called from somewhere beneath him, and he looked down to see that it was his comm that was lying on the ground. Right, that was Pat.

"Hey, Pat. Glad to see you're still alive."

[Mark. Mark, is that you? What? You look…]

"Like a god?"

[Yeah… how in the world are you flying?]

Pat had already started to prepare the rescue measures for Mark when he suddenly saw Mark glowing with golden light. Pat thought that it was another one of Mark's skills being activated, but Pat had no idea what the fuck happened to Mark—it was like Mark was a completely different person!

Even though Pat was only looking at him through a screen, Pat couldn't help but feel like he was seeing something mortal men shouldn't have the right to look at!

Mark felt a small smile spread across his face.

"It's a long story, Pat. I'll tell you about it later. For now, just relax and watch."

[Wha –]

Phwoom!

Mark vanished.

[Seoul. South Korea.]

In the hospital at the heart of Korea, Jeanne was passing through the hallways leading to Arit's hospital room while looking through charts for the patients she would be seeing next. Jeanne had come here with Arit a few minutes ago after they were rescued by the helicopter, and Jeanne put Arit in the hospital room first so that she could continue working on the other patients.

Arit's injury had been sutured and cleaned, and Arit was asleep when Jeanne left her. Now that Jeanne had some free time, she was going to see how Arit was doing.

But when Jeanne got to the hospital room, her eyes widened, and the clipboard in her hand dropped to the ground as she saw Mark standing at Arit's bedside while looking down at her with a calm, resolute gaze.

Mark was holding Arit's chart file in his hand, and Jeanne knew that Mark must've read it to see what sort of injuries Arit suffered. There was a golden aura surrounding Mark like he was something otherworldly, and Jeanne felt like the very air from her lungs was caught in her throat when she tried to talk.

There was so much power present in the room that Jeanne couldn't even breathe!

"Thank you."

Mark only said these two words to Jeanne before he and Arit vanished from the hospital room.

The Bermuda Triangle]

BOOM!

BOOM!

BOOM!

The fight had been raging for more than three hours in the darkness of the night, and now as it was reaching its peak, the sun was beginning to rise in the sky, casting long shadows over the fighters as they tried their best to hold out against the horde of Anima.

Luna and Megumi had joined forces against the largest beast there. The giant Anima with the structure on its back was a water-type creature, so it was able to shoot highly condensed blasts of water from its mouth. Luna had to use her powers to counter this attack constantly while Megumi worked on destroying the structure on the beast's back that was spitting out the eggs of Anima.

The Elder eldritch Anima that were being hatched from the eggs were going on a rampage against the superhumans, and it was only due to the quick thinking of Alec Ben, who started to break the eggs the moment they were released from the structure without giving them time to hatch, that they were able to reduce their numbers.

It turned out that the eggs needed to be submerged in water to hatch properly, and if they were broken before they could touch the water, they would only hatch as undeveloped embryos. The eggs that had already hatched were rampaging through the superhumans, and the Alphas had all made it their personal mission to hold back the Elder Eldritches.

The rest of the superhumans were working on stopping all the lower-ranked Anima from getting into the fight as well, and the battle didn't seem like it was anywhere near its end.

But then, the humans felt something like adrenaline rushing through their bodies as a second wind came over them! The humans that had been weak and tired were fighting back with even more power than before, and the undefined superhumans that were keeping the stronger Anima at bay were able to fight with even more power!

No one understood what was going on at that moment, but they all realized that there was something else going on when they all felt a force push down on them!

DOOM!

A feeling of pure undeniable power pressed down on everyone present in the Bermuda Triangle, and every single fighter stopped immediately as most of the superhumans and Anima fell to their knees from the shock!

Luna looked up into the sky and saw the dark cloud parting slowly to reveal a figure in black surrounded by golden light.

"Mark?"

Mark Vanitas floated above the mortals like a god.

He had his legs crossed under him and he was sitting on an invisible platform.

His shirt sleeves had been rolled up to his elbows to give space for the [Gauntlets of the Thunder God].

Mark surveyed the region and the mortals staring up at him. Luna had been in the middle of trying to form another [Superheated Bomb] to use on the Anima, but she had stopped and allowed it to die out as she looked up at Mark, and Megumi was staring up like she was seeing something impossible.

Mark spoke gently, but his voice echoed across the battlefield.

"I am Mark Vanitas. The God that governs this world. My people have prayed to me, and I have listened to their prayers. Anima, your King is dead. And with his death, the humans have won this battle. You have one choice. Surrender."

It was an absolute order.

There was no doubt in the minds of everyone present there that Mark had the strength and authority necessary to speak the words that he just did. Even the Anima, in their limited intelligence, understood that there was nothing they could do at that moment.

Some of the Anima were stubborn as they tried to run away from here in fear, but once they got past an invisible line that Mark had drawn around the battlefield with his Divine Mana, they exploded in a blast of gore and blood!

Mark put his elbows on his knees and rested his head on his closed fist as he watched the few stupid Anima trying to run away before they exploded one after another.

Finally, when none of them were trying to run anymore, Mark spoke to the humans.

"What are you all waiting for? Go ahead and battle. I am the god of War and Conquest, your God. And in my authority, I have blessed all the humans here with more power than they could ever dream to have. The anima are not your predators anymore. They are now your prey. Show them the strength of humans."

Mark waved his hand forward.

"Fight."
