Chapter 245 245: One week training plan.
Store:
Jeremy arrived at the store related to the Beast Taming Association. He walked into the shop and found the staff to inquire about the firearms.
The staff looked at him in surprise because he was a Tier-1 Beast Tamer. Normally, beast tamers detest using firearms because you can't kill Tier-3 and above beasts with them; their scales are hardened.
Even the most powerful firearms are useless against the Colossal Corrupted Beasts. Only advanced energy weapons are useful, but they are restricted for public use.
They are used by the human alliance, so he could only settle for basic firearms.
"I'm buying for safety reasons, so bring me handgun types," Jeremy said with a smile.
The staff nodded before leaving to bring out the products.
Jeremy waited for a few minutes. Then he saw the staff coming back with a few products in his hands.
"Guest, we have a few handgun types with us. Can you tell us what you want?" the staff asked.
"I need an old-era semi-automatic pistol," Jeremy replied.
He could buy better weapons, but he didn't have any need for that. The basic weapon does the same job.
"Okay, we have this product called a cold handgun. It was popular back in the days before the mutation era. Nowadays, only a few manufacturers are producing it," the staff explained.
"Hmmm," Jeremy nodded before picking a black handgun. He then started to check the gun by removing the magazine.
Then he began to observe and check the frame, slide, barrel, trigger, striker, and magazine cartridge.
After checking the safety and sights, he saw that every part was in perfect condition. He decided to buy it and didn't even bother to check other weapons.
"I need this cold gun," Jeremy said before starting to assemble the weapon.
In the blink of an eye, he assembled the handgun and held it in one hand. Now that he had bought the weapon, he had to practice the necessary skill set as well.
As far as he knew, nobody taught firearms skills at the university. It was basically old school; he could only rely on himself.
The staff then took the cold gun and started packaging it. Jeremy then thought about something before asking the staff to bring some magazines loaded with bullets as well.
Shortly afterward,
Jeremy left the shop after buying the weapon. He came to the street, but he did not leave right away. He started to think about learning how to use the gun.
He thought it would be better if there were a training place. If it were normal times, he could go back to the university and search for one.
But he now knew that the management had banned his travel. The assassination attempt must have shocked them; he couldn't blame them.
So Jeremy decided to enter a coffee shop. He planned to search while enjoying the coffee. He then started to look around.
This road is one of the main roads of City A. There are shops running on both sides of the street. It didn't take him long to find the nearest shop.
Jeremy walked into the place. He then found a private room and entered inside. There was no one to disturb him here.
So he ordered the coffee before taking out his digital device to do some searching.
A few minutes later,
The staff brought him the coffee. He nodded to the staff before continuing his search. Jeremy's eyes flashed with a glint; he was surprised to find out there was a gun club in this city.
But the problem was that the gun club was not for the public; it was related to the city police. Only members of the city police were allowed to train there.
He thought that firearms were things of the past, but he hadn't expected the city to have a gun club here. Maybe they were trying to carry on the past tradition.
In any case, it was useful for him. He just needed a week's class to learn, and then he would improve his skills while training in the wilderness.
After making the decision, he started to enjoy the coffee.
Buzz!
Suddenly, he received a call from a known person. The caller was none other than City Police Captain Nathan. His mouth twitched.
He thought that Elder Derek had informed him. Then he answered the call.
"Jeremy Night, where are you?"
"I heard you went outside. It would be helpful if we could meet and discuss," Nathan's voice sounded.
Hearing that, Jeremy agreed and relayed his address. He wanted to have a week's training at the gun club. Since Captain Nathan was going to come here, he decided to ask him in person.
About 20 minutes later,
A middle-aged man entered the room. He was none other than Captain Nathan.
Upon seeing Jeremy, he was speechless. Usually, people targeted by their enemies would stay low-key, but this kid dared to come outside to have coffee.
He then smiled and said, "I heard you are giving headaches to the elders."
He sat opposite Jeremy Night.
Hearing that, Jeremy replied, "Captain, I came outside to take some measures."
Nathan raised his eyebrows in surprise.
He asked, "What is it?"
Jeremy thought it was the right time to ask him. He then started to tell him about his plan to use a handgun.
"Captain Nathan, if possible, I need a week's training at your gun club," Jeremy asked.
"Gun club," Nathan uttered in surprise. He hadn't expected Jeremy Night to figure out their gun club as well. It was old school; not many people used firearms in the era of beast tamers.
People who used firearms mostly didn't have beast taming talent, but he was impressed with Jeremy's plan. He had thought this kid was not serious about his life.
But now he has changed his mind. This kid was really serious. If he could learn to use firearms, then he could trouble those killers.
A quick gleam flashed in Nathan's eyes.
"Alright, I'll get you one week's permission. But don't forget to ask permission from the university," Nathan said.
"Okay," Jeremy replied. He was glad that things worked out.
What do you think?
