Chapter 173 173: Follow The Trend
But with her emotions swinging wildly tonight, it was destined to be a sleepless night. She just hoped the dark circles under her eyes wouldn't be too obvious tomorrow.
As for Ryan drinking with Abigail, neither she nor Yana cared. Even if they ended up sleeping together, it wouldn't matter.
After all, Abigail might've been openly lesbian, but with her stunning looks and tall, fiery figure, what man could resist her?
At most, they were curious—how did a lesbian have sex with a man? Would she get wet during foreplay?
Ryan didn't even look at the photos before forwarding them to Nancy.
Nancy responded with a string of thumbs-up emojis and a few kissy-face stickers—whether it was meant to be teasing or not was unclear.
At this point, Ryan couldn't be bothered to overthink it. After eating and drinking his fill, Abigail glanced around dazedly and giggled, "Darling, let's follow the trend. Otherwise, these four years of college would've been wasted."
College students were a hormone-fueled bunch, and many rented places off-campus to live together. She was looking at the apartment building where Yana rented a place.
The left entrance led to ordinary apartments, but the lower floors of the building housed a budget hotel.
The hotel's main clientele? Cash-strapped college students. The area around the university had plenty of cheap little inns—shabby, often with shared bathrooms.
Most were converted from residential properties, with old furnishings and questionable legality.
But they were cheap. As long as the girl didn't mind, the value was unbeatable—though taking a bath together was out of the question.
The students at the university had cheekily nicknamed this building "Annex No. 1 of the University's Artillery Barracks."
Sure, some adventurous couples might opt for outdoor fun, and occasionally a girl might sneak a guy into the dorm, but with how strict the girls' dorms were, they couldn't always rely on that.
So this building, conveniently close, became the go-to spot. The decor wasn't luxurious, but it was stylish enough to suit young tastes.
Rooms cost $50 a night, but with a student ID, you got a 10% discount—great value for broke students looking to let loose occasionally.

Especially for casual hookups. No one would take a fling to a run-down hostel.
"I've never been there either," Ryan agreed readily.
The college couples still wandering outside at this hour were all fueled up and ready to burn off their youthful energy.
Add alcohol to the mix, and it was the epitome of reckless student life.
After paying the bill, Ryan took Abigail's hand and walked to the hotel entrance. In the time they'd been talking, two obviously student-aged couples had already checked in and taken the elevator up.
Standing at the entrance, Abigail giggled, "Wow, Annex No. 1 lives up to its name."
Even with most windows closed, faint moans could be heard from the hotel—soft but piercing in the quiet night.
And it wasn't just one voice. The hotel wasn't the only place with action; couples living in the apartments clearly weren't idle either. The overlapping sounds were something else.
When Ryan mentioned that Yana had rented an apartment here with her sister for livestreaming, Abigail mused, "She's practically a saint then."
Then she hugged Ryan's arm and smirked, "But without a man, living here must be torture. Hearing others moan every night—she must've had to take matters into her own hands just to sleep."
Ryan laughed and gave her butt a playful smack, teasing, "Next time I'll bring you to her place. You can find out for yourself."
"Not afraid I'll turn her gay?" Abigail shot him a flirty glance. "Most women don't interest me, but a succubus like her? I'd love to try."
Just imagining the three of them in bed together—that was a fantasy too wild to dwell on.
As Ryan's mind wandered, Abigail whispered, "Let's go there first."
She pointed to a 24-hour convenience store and pharmacy next door. At the pharmacy entrance, she hesitated before saying, "I'm in my risky days. Can you get me emergency contraception?"
"Sure."
Ryan stepped into the pharmacy, feeling a mix of novelty, thrill, and nerves—it was his first time buying this.
It also reminded him of something: Yasmin had mentioned she had an IUD, so he could finish inside without worry. But what about Yana and Lyla?
Ryan wasn't ready to be a father yet, so he quickly messaged them both as a reminder. They replied, touched by his concern.
Both assured him that girls knew how to protect themselves, but when it came to whether they'd taken pills, they both dodged the question.
Back at the convenience store, Ryan grabbed some beer while Abigail picked up a bottle of water to take the pill. She frowned slightly. "Darling, I don't want to drink anymore. My stomach's bloated..."
"It's fine, I'll drink alone." Ryan chuckled. "I've got this quirk—either I don't drink at all, or I can't stop."
"Then I'll grab some snacks. I'm still a bit hungry."
Abigail reached for some chips.
Earlier, at the skewer stand, there hadn't been much left—just ten small lamb skewers and two beef ones, barely enough to tide them over.
They'd been the last customers, and the stall had packed up right after they left, so they were still peckish.
After buying a pile of snacks, they headed to the hotel to check in. The front desk girl blinked in surprise before greeting Abigail with a laugh. "Damn, what are you doing here?"
Her eyes darted between them, full of shock and confusion.
Clearly, she was a fellow student—probably a senior working part-time, given the late shift.
But given Abigail's reputation, straight girls usually avoided her. The fact that they seemed friendly suggested she was a senior.
Seeing the famously out lesbian checking in with a man? The entire university—male or female—would've had the same stunned reaction.
What do you think?
