Chapter 1627: Fifth Star Chart, All’s Good! Pt.2

Perhaps due to the ordeal in the Essence Chong Heavenly Field, their journey became a lot more smooth.

Near the sun at the Megrez position, after a false alarm caused by an Azure World, they quickly traveled a long distance to the vicinity of the fifth sun, located at the Alioth position. It didn’t take them long to locate the big blazing ball.

This sun was incredibly vast and dazzling, and the energy it contained was exceedingly abundant!

They had been astounded when they discovered the sun at the Merak position, and the subsequent ones at the Dubhe, Phecda, and Megrez positions couldn't compare. Even among the numerous suns surveyed in the previous Star Charts, the sun they were looking at was top-tier in both size and quality.

None of them could believe their eyes even though they were still tens of thousands of miles away.

Yan Ming was the first to speak, “It won’t be about surveying this sun, but whether there are threats within 1,000,,000 miles around it that could affect it or interfere during your ascension process.”

Shang Xia thought for a moment and said, “A simple survey is still necessary. As for patrolling the space within 1,000,000 miles around the sun, we can handle that!”

This time, there was no need for someone to stay behind to assist Yan Ming with an in-depth survey, and she nodded in agreement.

Due to the conspicuous nature of this sun, Shang Xia and his External Avatar had to extend their patrol to a million miles.

Yan Ming quickly completed her task, but Shang Xia and his External Avatar, working separately, took much longer to return and regroup with her.

“Did you encounter other worlds again?” Yan Ming asked with some suspicion upon seeing them.

Shang Xia waved his hand, and his External Avatar replied, “No major worlds here, though we did come across 2 or 3 Barbaric Worlds. However, there were even more floating continents or Earth Stars with signs of life, close to 20 in total. Moreover, all of them seem to be relying on this powerful sun for life.”

Yan Ming sank deep into thought and mumbled, “So, the space around this sun should be safe then?”

Shang Xia replied after some time, “The inhabited stars and floating lands here are a bit too densely packed. I’m concerned this might be a way for a powerful being to selectively breed a race.”

Yan Ming was stunned and speechless.

Shang Xia then shook his head and sighed. “Let’s focus on refining the origin light first. Even if someone had already set their sights on his place, we won’t interfere with each other.”

Then, Shang Xia and his External Avatar worked together to extract a strand of energy from the sun, and because it was so rich and pure, it didn’t take long to complete the process.

“How many suns have we successfully extracted the origin light from so far?” Shang Xia casually asked as he and Yan Ming sealed the extracted essence into a jade bottle.

“26,” Yan Ming responded without hesitation.

“That’s 26 strands of origin light... Considering the quality is also top-notch among rank six spiritual treasures, after setting aside the 7 strands I need, we’ll have about 20 left. Any suggestions on how to use them?” Shang Xia’s tone was relaxed, clearly pleased with the progress of the fifth Star Chart survey so far.

Yan Ming didn’t need to think much before she replied, “Stargazers will definitely need it, maybe for Yuan Qiuyuan’s ascension to a rank six Grand Stargazer, and possibly for concocting higher-quality Three Lights Water. As for the rest, Blacksmiths would certainly find it useful if their craft reaches the level to utilize rank six spiritual treasures.”

“All right then,” Shang Xia nodded in understanding, though he still planned to first offer those origin lights to Stargazers. He would consider everyone else later.

After Yuan Qiuyuan became a Grand Stargazer, the Star Observatory had been improving and their entire lineage was growing stronger.

With Yan Ming’s ascension, the institution had 3 Grand Stargazers. Their growth of second and third rank Star Disciples and Star Masters was also well-organized. Their Stargazing Hall could be considered rather well-established.

“The next sun should be at the Mizar position.” Yan Ming unfolded the fifth Star Chart, finding the position in the void and began estimating the distance from where they were.

“Yes, only the last 2 left, I hope everything goes smoothly from here.” Shang Xia sighed softly.

Yan Ming glanced at him before mumbling, “So… You also have moments of worry? Actually, as long as the last 2 suns aren’t too poor, the fifth chart is clearly superior in quality to the third.”

Shang Xia nodded. “Let’s hope so.”

Then, they traveled long distances through the void for many more days.

Although Yuan Qiuyuan had tried to avoid the chaotic regions of the sea of stars when looking for suitable suns at Shang Xia’s request, focusing on the more remote and deep areas of space, they inevitably encountered dangers during their travels.

However, as long as they didn’t directly confront Sages, Shang Xia alone was enough to deal with any danger. Even if outnumbered, he was confident of retreating safely with Yan Ming. There was also no need to mention he had a high-level True Immortal External Avatar by his side who could coordinate seamlessly with him in combat.

Moreover, the sights and experiences along the way greatly broadened their perspectives. Traveling with Shang Xia, Yan Ming continually learned from his teachings. Her cultivation not only didn’t suffer from the long travels and star surveys but actually advanced progressively.

She even recently sensed the merging of her fate dippers as she approached the comprehension of her martial intent.

Finally, the 3 of them approached the sun in the Mizar position. They were 5,000,000 miles away, and they noticed a region of rather empty space.

There weren’t too many asteroids, stars, or floating islands to obstruct their view, allowing Shang Xia and Yan Ming to easily observe the intense light from the sun.

Shang Xia was particularly invigorated. He seemed to be able to sense the energy contained in the sun even though they were millions of miles away.

“This sun also seems to be of high quality. Even if it can’t compare to the sun in the Alioth position, it should be on par with the one at the Merak position, right?” Shang Xia looked eagerly at Yan Ming, waiting for her opinion.

However, Yan Ming did not show any signs of excitement. Instead, she furrowed her brows deeply. Her eyes faintly shimmered with starlight, a sign she was using her Stargazing arts.

“What’s wrong?” Shang Xia’s heart sank when he noticed her expression.

Yan Ming pointed towards the distant sun and mumbled, “Haven’t you noticed anything unusual there?”

“What’s unusual?” Shang Xia felt a bad premonition, but the distance was too great to sense the sun properly.

Yan Ming sighed lightly, “There’s more than 1 sun there!”
