Chapter 1624: Seeing Too Many Of Them

The second he plunged into the chaotic streams, Shang Xia reached a conclusion.

He was actually forced to confront the Sage of the Essence Chong Heavenly Field and his heart was still pounding in fear.

He was shocked that he managed to so easily escape from a Martial Emptiness Realm Sage who had reached the second star of cultivation.

Of course, he was well aware that it wasn't because he had the strength to face the expert head on. Instead, there seemed to be some issues with the Sage's cultivation, which he had successfully exploited.

The latter path, although easier, meant that after ascension, the cultivator would also be bound by their world and their Heavenly Field.

Pei Yuanji, the Sage from the Essence Chong Heavenly Field, was clearly of the latter. Furthermore, because he had successfully organized the Heavenly Field and his cultivation had already crossed the initial level to reach the second star of the Martial Emptiness Realm.

Although Pei Yuanji had tried to conceal it, every surge of the Spirit Light World’s origin made his inner qi fluctuate. Shang Xia couldn’t help but make the connection.

Perhaps it was because he had erased Pei Yuanji’s soul mark in the Spirit Light World that temporarily disabled Pei Yuanji borrowing more power from it, but Pei Yuanji’s cultivation became even more unstable during their clash earlier.

When Pei Yuanji’s clone located Shang Xia, it discovered the spatial torrent it had created had plunged back into chaos. No matter how it tried to stir up the void around to threaten Shang Xia, everything disintegrated as the chaotic streams remained.

In the void, Shang Xia unleashed both his World Establishing Art and the sixth move of his Siix Harmony Rod Technique, Heaven Liberation in tandem. He carved out multiple regions of void in the chaotic streams, forming outlets for the energy Pei Yuanji’s clone stirred up. It caused the orderly spatial wave to collapse.

Pei Yuanji’s clone didn’t expect a True Immortal to be able to neutralize his offensive with such an amazing technique. From how easily the intruder handled the situation, it was clear it wasn’t their first time facing such a situation!
