Vol. 6 Ch. 109
It would take about four days for the messenger dragon to fly from the Golden Thunder Clan back to the Silver Dragon Clan, whereas for Leon and his group, it would only take one or two days to reach the Empire's border from here.
So they could afford to rest here for a few more days. After all, they'd been on the road for over a month now, spending most of that time rushing from place to place without pause.
It was rare to be able to stop and rest in the peaceful lands of a calm, friendly clan.
And they could also continue investigating the matter of the Thunder Spirit Core while they were at it.
For now, all Leon knew was that the Thunder Spirit Core had been stolen thirty years ago by a traitor named Hera, and her last known location was somewhere in a human empire.
Although that "test range" had been narrowed down to "the Empire," the actual clues and intelligence were far too limited. Leon had to gather more information.
On their second day with the Golden Thunder Clan, the one assigned to act as their "guide" was a dragonkin named Anie.
"In the end, the High Priest judged that we had successfully repelled the dangerous species attacking the clan, and we became our people's undisputed heroes."
However, everything Anie said that entire morning completely failed to capture Leon's interest.
It was either how many grand legends Zeus had left behind for the Golden Thunder Clan, or how incredibly badass the High Priest was.
General Leon thought: you may be badass, but can you possibly be more badass than me? Could we maybe talk about something that everyone's actually interested in?
Like, say, the Thunder Spirit Core?
Even Noa, who usually loved listening to extracurricular lectures, was starting to look drowsy.
And the only one among them who didn't have an obvious "please stop talking about this boring crap" expression on her face was Rosvisser.
What do you think?
