Reincarnation to the world of Naruto

Chapter 1

Dodo widened his eyes when he saw the figures in front of him. "W-who are they?" he thought, clearly shocked and panicked upon seeing the two individuals.

"Big brother, what's wrong with him? Why does he look so panicked?" the younger one asked, playing with a blade of grass near his nose.

"I don't know either. Hey, are you okay?" the figure asked Dodo.

Dodo furrowed his brows, not understanding what they were saying. "What are they saying... I don’t understand their language," he thought. "Hey, stop playing with my nose," he grumbled internally while trying to sit up.

"Are you okay?" the figure asked again.

Dodo remained silent, unable to understand their words, but he felt that the language was somehow familiar.

"Brother, I think he doesn't understand what you're saying."

The figure’s eyes turned red and formed a unique pattern. When Dodo looked into them, he was instantly stunned. "Mangekyou Sharingan," he murmured. He recognized the type of eye in just a glance.

Shing! A process of transferring language knowledge occurred.

"Hello, can you understand me now?" the figure asked.

Dodo looked at the two of them — now he could understand their words. He stared at them, finding their faces strangely familiar. After a moment, it clicked. "Y-you're Hagoromo Otsutsuki?" he blurted out.

The two figures frowned. "How do you know my name?" one of them asked cautiously.

Dodo glanced around and saw thousands of people hanging from trees, wrapped and covered in bandages. "Are they all going to be turned into white Zetsu?" Dodo asked.

The two became even more shocked. "Who are you?" Hagoromo asked again.

Dodo tried to calm himself and process the situation. "It seems I’ve reincarnated into the world of Naruto," he whispered.

That murmur was heard by the two figures, though they didn’t understand what he meant.

Dodo attempted to stand but couldn't. "Um, could you help me get up?" he asked.

The two looked at each other. "If you can't help me stand, can you at least give me a bit of your chakra?" Dodo added.

Hagoromo stared at Dodo with a curious expression — this stranger knew too much about him. "Raise your hand," Hagoromo said.

Dodo raised his right hand. Hagoromo placed his palm against Dodo’s. As soon as their hands touched, Dodo could feel chakra flowing into his body.

"So this is what chakra feels like… It’s amazing," Dodo thought, thrilled by the sensation.

Hagoromo removed his hand after transferring a bit of chakra. For Dodo, it felt like a huge amount, but for Hagoromo, it was barely a speck.

Dodo looked at his palm and his eyes widened. He saw a symbol — a sun-like tattoo. "Isn’t this the same symbol Naruto had on his hand?" he thought.

Dodo gave a faint smile and looked at the other figure. "Hamura Otsutsuki, give me some of your chakra too!" he said, raising his left hand.

Hamura raised an eyebrow. "You even know my name? Shouldn’t the chakra from my brother be enough?" he questioned.

Dodo shook his head. "The chakra from your brother is yang chakra. I also need yin chakra — the one you possess — to maintain balance in my body," he explained.

Hamura looked at his brother, who gave a small nod. Then Hamura placed his palm on Dodo’s left hand.

Dodo felt another flow of chakra entering his body. After a moment, Hamura withdrew his hand.

Dodo looked at both his palms and smiled with satisfaction upon seeing the sun and crescent moon symbols. "With this, I can awaken my own Rinnegan," he said.

Dodo stood up. "Thank you. Because of you two, I recovered much faster. And my name is Dodo. Nice to meet you both," he said, extending his hand.

They warmly shook his hand. "It’s nice to meet you too, Dodo… So, what will you do now?" Hagoromo asked.

"I don’t know… I think I’ll go on a journey," Dodo replied.

Hagoromo invited Dodo to stay with him for a while.

"I’m sorry, I’m afraid your mother might kill me and turn me into dust," Dodo said.

Hagoromo understood — his mother viewed people like Dodo as mere livestock or nourishment for the God Tree. Yet Dodo knew that her actions were, in her mind, for the sake of the world.

"For the sake of the world! Hah, whoever wrote Kaguya’s character is so weird," Dodo muttered in his thoughts.

"Alright, I’ll go now. See you again someday… and hello to your mom, Kaguya," Dodo said with a smile toward Hagoromo.

Dodo left them, intending to ask about the way to Mount Myoboku, but decided not to, fearing Kaguya might spy on him through Hagoromo's memories.

Once Dodo was out of sight, the two resumed their postponed journey.

Dodo ran as fast as he could, searching for a river. Time passed until evening. Upon finding the river, he began shouting.

"Gamamaru!" he yelled repeatedly.

Suddenly, bubbles appeared in the river. A toad the size of a human emerged.

"What is it? Why are you calling me… and who are you?" the toad asked. "I don’t recall ever seeing you before."

"Enough questions, open your mouth and take me to your place now — before she shows up!" Dodo ordered.

"She? Who's 'she'?"

With no time to explain, Dodo forced Gamamaru’s mouth open and jumped in. "Hurry and go!" he said, his voice echoing inside the toad’s belly.

Gamamaru dove back into the river.

Shortly after, a woman arrived — she floated above the river and looked almost exactly like the two men Dodo had met earlier.

Elsewhere, in Mount Myoboku, a toad surfaced from a pond and spat out the person who had forcefully entered its mouth.

"Ouch, Gamamaru, can’t you be gentler when spitting me out?" Dodo complained, rubbing his sore backside. "Ugh, it’s so sticky…"

Covered in slime, he stood up.

"Who are you?" the toad asked.

Dodo rose and introduced himself. "I’m Dodo. I’ve come to learn how to absorb natural energy."

"Did Hagoromo tell you about me?" the toad asked.

Dodo paused, considering his answer. "No. I know everything — just like you, who can see the future."

Gamamaru was stunned, then nodded in understanding. "Alright, I’ll train you," he said. "But first, sign your name here with your blood," he added, pulling out a scroll from his belly.
