Chapter 370 [Wedding By Blood] [22] [Partner]
370 [Wedding By Blood] [22] [Partner]
"Why did you take so long?"
Elise grumbled, walking just beside me as we rushed toward the main hallway.
"Who asked you to wait for me?" I clicked my tongue, adjusting my coat as we hurried through the corridor. "I only took ten minutes to get ready."
She scoffed, brushing a stray lock of hair behind her ear. "Still too long. Anyway, do you have any ideas?"
"Oh, about Aimar?"
"Yeah."
Hmm...
'I don't know how I should convince him.'
For the last five minutes, she'd been bombarding me with her problem.
Long story short: she wants Aimar as her dance partner but is too afraid to ask, worried he'll reject her.
So, she is asking me to work as a wingman and pair them up.
'But how should I?'
I rubbed the back of my neck, pondering. Truthfully, I had no idea.
I wasn't sure Aimar even knew about her feelings—pretty sure he was completely clueless.
Bitch is fucking clueless.
I glanced at Elise, who was practically vibrating with impatience.
"Do you really like him?" I asked quietly. "And... why him, of all people?"
She didn't answer immediately, her gaze fixed ahead with a slight furrow of her brows.
"He's... different," she finally muttered. "I don't want to lose him."
"Aren't you a princess or something?" I raised an eyebrow. "Will your family approve of him?"
"Don't worry about them." She replied, crossing her arms. "Once I see even a little hint that Aimar likes me, I can handle the rest."
I nodded slightly. "That shouldn't be so hard."
"What do you know?" she huffed, sounding almost pitiful.
"Aimar's as dense as a rock. I could probably kiss him, and he'd think I was trying to bite his face off."
It might be possible.
[<How hard is it to accept that someone might actually like him?>]

"Kiss him, huh?" I muttered, giving her a sidelong glance.
She immediately averted her gaze, cheeks tinged red.
What did Aimar even do to make her like this? Some kind of drug?
Hmm.
It might be possible.
[<How hard is it to accept that someone might actually like him?>]
'How is that rude bastard even likable?'
What do you think?
