Reincarnated as a World

The Crystal Dragon King could not believe what he was seeing.

In a single moment, his proud people had suffered a severe attack out of nowhere and many of them had fallen unconscious. He could even see a few people who had lost their lives completely, although they were the ones that weren’t even at the peak of the 3rd Realm.

Still, how was this possible?

He snapped his head towards the strange looking creatures that the System called ‘Death Howlers’. These beings had suddenly let out a piercing scream that had shockingly caused him to feel pain, but it wasn’t that painful.

How could something like this cause Misali the Supreme Dragon of Water to directly fall unconscious? Although she was the only Supreme Dragon that had fallen unconscious, she was certainly not the weakest, especially recently. It didn’t make sense.

Alas, this was not the time to ponder and think.

“Osmont! Secure Misali!” He ordered his most valued Supreme Dragon.

Osmont, just like him - was relatively unaffected. Every other Supreme Dragon apart from Iskark, the Supreme Dragon of Earth, were wincing and even twitching as if they were in severe agony.

“Ridiculous…” He uttered incredulously.

Osmont obeyed his orders without replying.

As for himself…

He looked up at the incoming horde of Death Howlers, and then looked at the Dragons at his side that were incapacitated. Only the brilliantly shining goddess above remained as sacred and invincible as always. Unfortunately, he knew she wouldn’t be of much help in the short time.

He was about to be very, very busy.

“Iskark, come with me. We will defend our people. The other Supremes should be able to join us shortly.” He couldn’t allow his people to suffer any further.

But first, he had some very important questions to ask.

‘System. What on Eridius just happened?’ He hoped it answered. He really did. As it was, the tight restraint that he had around his rage was already greatly compromised. If the System refused to answer - or answered but it turned out to be useless riddles, he would no longer be able to control himself.

Ding!

<The Death Howlers released a sound attack.>

His brow twitched. ‘I can guess that much. What I want to know is why it was so powerful? Why was it so effective against Misali but not against Iskark, Osmont and I. Me and Iskark have greater defence thanks to our affinities, but that is limited to physical and to some extent elemental attacks. Do we also have defence against sound attacks too? But then if so, what about Osmont?’

The Crystal Dragon King flew forward in preparation for the incoming onslaught. He suspected that the System’s explanation would take a while.

<-their attack is not very powerful, but with many of them attacking at once, even the innate defence of Dragons will not be able to withstand it. To overcome it, one would either need a strong enough brain, a strong enough soul, a rigid constitution that is resistant to vibrations, or a high enough cultivation that allows the mana within their bodies to deflect the attack.

Misali’s extensive affinity with the Water Element has made her very susceptible to this kind of attack and she has sustained notable damage to her Soul, which she further aggravated. On the other hand, you and Iskark have rigid bodies that greatly nullified the vibrations of the sound attack. The quality of your mana was also high enough to help in nullifying it further.

As for Osmont, his fire affinity actually goes well with vibrations. Vibrations of that calibre are unable to harm him.>

Understanding dawned on the Crystal Dragon King and his rage increased. He did not like the sound of Misali’s condition. But he needed to control himself for a little longer. Just a little longer.

He breathed out once. In his next inhale, he began to summon mana to prepare a very big surprise that would make the Howlers regret. In the meantime, he still had one more question.

‘If Osmont is good with vibrations, then what about Vishna? His lightning affinity looks like it should be good with vibrations too.’ Vishna was the Supreme Dragon of Lightning, but he too had suffered from the sound attack.

<You are correct, host. However, his inferior cultivation was a weakness that was exploited. It could not withstand the entire attack.>

‘I see.’ It was within his expectations. Vishna was a unique Supreme Dragon in regards to the fact that he was not an original like the rest of them. He was a second generation Dragon that was talented enough to comprehend the lightning element and later take the dead Wind Supreme Dragon’s place when he grew into his power.

But his age, coupled with the long years he took to comprehend lightning made his cultivation pale in comparison to the others.

The Crystal Dragon inwardly sighed.

In the next moment, the restraint around his fury fell loose.
