When Lin Zhiyi got home, Sang Li was already waiting at the door.

He was on the phone and when he saw her, he said softly, “I’ve seen her.”

Then he hung up the phone.

Sang Li walked up to Lin Zhiyi and, seeing her blood-stained clothes, spoke gently, “Are you alright?”

Lin Zhiyi nodded, her voice hoarse: “Yeah.”

Sang Li took out a handkerchief and reached out to wipe the blood off Lin Zhiyi’s neck.

Lin Zhiyi dodged slightly, and he stopped mid-air, changing the subject, “Let’s go inside first, shall we have a good talk?”

Lin Zhiyi didn’t refuse, she opened the door and saw the messy room and the bloodstains on the floor, but she walked in calmly, as if she didn’t see them.

Sang Li watched this scene with deep furrowed brows.

“The sofa is not fit to sit on, sit in the dining room first. I’ll go change my clothes,” Lin Zhiyi said expressionlessly as she headed to the bedroom, oblivious to everything around her.

Sang Li sensed that something was wrong: “Zhiyi…”

Lin Zhiyi ignored him and went straight back to her room.

By the time she came out, Sang Li had tidied up the room, and the traces of blood on the floor were almost gone.

There was even a freshly brewed cup of tea on the table.
