Chapter 28 - 28 28 Nightmare
Chapter 28: Chapter 28 Nightmare Chapter 28: Chapter 28 Nightmare Lin Zhiyi was taken aback and inevitably blushed.
She didn’t know that the thin crack of the door had just revealed the silhouette reflected in the mirror.
Her long hair draped over her fair back, faintly revealing the chest her arms tried to cover, fluctuating with each movement as if it would get out of control the next second.
Third Young Master clenched the ring on his thumb to restrain some surging impulses.
Lin Zhiyi couldn’t win and closed the door forcefully.
Looking at the men’s shirt and pants in her hand, she had no choice but to put them on.
When she came out of the bathroom again, Third Young Master was sitting on the sofa, sipping tea.
The fragrance of the tea was so soothing that it calmed one instantly.
Lin Zhiyi walked over, not knowing if the tea was too hot, Third Young Master glanced at her and spilled half of the tea from his hand.
But soon, he spoke without a ripple, “Drink some tea.”
After setting down his cup, he went to take a shower without saying much more.
Lin Zhiyi picked up the cup and took a sip, but before she could swallow, she spat it out.
Looking at the clear tea, she couldn’t regain her composure for some time, her eyes even feeling a bit sore.
This tea… she hated it the most.
Not because this kind of tea was bad.
On the contrary, this tea was very expensive and beyond the reach of ordinary families.
Her hatred stemmed from being told she didn’t deserve it.
When she first went to the Gong Family, she didn’t understand much, but even with great care, she made mistakes.
She often saw her mother and Gong Shiyan getting weary from socializing, so she wanted to brew some tea to help them relax.
She went to the tea room, faced with a dazzling array of tea canisters, not knowing which to pick, she just grabbed some at random.
She didn’t expect to be scolded by a maid who burst in as she was brewing the tea.
“How can you be so greedy? Is this something you should drink? Even selling you wouldn’t fetch such a price!”
“Buy one, get one free, and you really consider yourself a dish on the table. Even your mother has to beg me nicely to get some tea leaves.”
“How dare you steal?”
At the mention of stealing, Lin Zhiyi turned pale, vehemently explaining that Gong Shiyan had said she could also use these things.
The maid didn’t listen at all and poured the whole pot of tea on her.
Third Young Master, happening to pass by, saw this and the maid was gone the same day.
He knew all this.
Yet, he still brewed her this cup of tea, as if reminding her of her status as a burden in the Gong Family.
Perhaps he thought the same.
While lost in thought, Third Young Master’s phone lit up on the table with a message that popped up.
Lin Zhiyi didn’t want to snoop, but it was too close to her, hard to ignore.
It was a text from Song Wanqiu.
“Third Young Master, I’ve run out of my favorite tea.”
Looking at the tea name following the message, Lin Zhiyi felt even colder.
So this tea was actually Song Wanqiu’s favorite.
True love indeed, Third Young Master remembered everything about Song Wanqiu.
Lin Zhiyi’s heart sank, realizing that her earlier thoughts were simply an embarrassment to herself.
Why on earth should Third Young Master remember her preferences?
Lin Zhiyi, what do you think you are?
Is being reborn so remarkable?
Even with rebirth, she, powerless and without influence, could only struggle, shifting her fate bit by bit, like the minute hand on a clock.
A while later, Third Young Master came out after his shower, lazily sat down, and lit a cigarette.
“Feeling better… didn’t drink?” The smoke from his lips obscured his stern face, his gaze sweeping over her coolly.
“Oh.”
Lin Zhiyi nodded in aversion.
The atmosphere turned stiff for a while, and Lin Zhiyi couldn’t stand it anymore. Seeing the relentless storm outside, she was sure she couldn’t go back.
Even if she left now, she wouldn’t make it back before the school’s curfew.
She stood up and said, “Uncle, I’m a bit tired, I’m going to sleep.”
With that, she headed straight for the guest room.
Gong Chen smoked and poured tea for himself, then took a sip and frowned.
He picked up the tea caddy from the side table, deep in thought.
…
In the middle of the night,
Lin Zhiyi woke coughing, her throat both dry and itchy, and felt dizzy when she tried to get up.
All she could do was lean against the wall to find some water to drink.
After groping around for an eternity, just when she finally drank some water, she felt even dizzier.
She took two steps, then her legs went weak, and she started to collapse toward the floor.
Fortunately, she was caught before hitting the ground, swept up in a sideways embrace.
“How can your body be so frail?”
Hearing the familiar voice, Lin Zhiyi, with memories of a past life, began to tremble.
“No, don’t touch me, I was wrong, I was wrong, please don’t touch me…”
She murmured, gripping Gong Chen’s collar tightly.
Gong Chen could even hear the crackling sound of her knuckles straining, just like when she lost control in the hospital.
He knitted his brows and carried Lin Zhiyi into the master bedroom.
After placing her on the bed, she resisted even more fiercely, clawing three marks across Gong Chen’s chest.
“Zhiyi, Zhiyi…”
“Don’t! Stop!”
Lin Zhiyi suddenly opened her eyes wide and bit down on Gong Chen’s neck.
Her mouth tasted of blood, but her body kept shaking, as if resisting something.
Gong Chen merely frowned, letting her bite.
Eventually, Lin Zhiyi fainted from the fever and exhaustion, still bleeding from the corner of her mouth.
Gong Chen reached out and wiped the blood from the corner of Lin Zhiyi’s mouth, his eyes dark and menacing.
Once she was settled, he got up, wiped his own wound with a towel, and then dialed Chen Jin’s number.
“Third Young Master, what can I do for you?”
“Continue to keep an eye on Zhao Cheng.”
“Third Young Master, the Zhao Group is already in the middle of acquisition, this…”
“I’m not too satisfied with the price,” said Gong Chen, expressionlessly twirling the blood on his fingertip.
“Understood.”
After ending the call, Gong Chen treated his neck wound and took some fever-reducing medicine from the medicine box.
When he returned to the room, Lin Zhiyi had fallen asleep.
Gong Chen propped her up: “Open your mouth and take the medicine.”
But Lin Zhiyi clenched her lips tight, clearly preferring death to submission.
He was not interested in her bloodied mouth, yet actually touching her lips, he experienced a different feeling.
Especially when his fingertip wiped away the fresh blood, like smearing lipstick, her whole face became…
Vivid and alluring.
Gong Chen did not covet women, except…
He turned Lin Zhiyi’s head, placed the pill on his lips, and kissed her.
After delivering the medicine, he also tasted blood in his mouth, which was strange but not unpleasant.
Instead, Lin Zhiyi unconsciously pushed him, whimpering like a kitten.
Listening to the enticing timbre.
Gong Chen caught her hand, feeling that it wasn’t enough.
He then pressed her down on the bed and kissed her more forcefully.
Lin Zhiyi felt something surrounding her, crushing down, leaving her breathless.
Instinctively, she clenched her teeth, denying Gong Chen’s plundering.
Yet, Gong Chen nonchalantly lifted his finger and pinched deftly, making her frown and open her mouth, allowing him to seize the moment to enter.
“Mmm…”
She made a sound of resistance, but it was all swallowed by Gong Chen, instantly shattering into pieces.
He continued with a few more hammering movements, not painful but teasing, further arousing the man beyond self-control.
His lips wandered restlessly down her neck…
What do you think?
