Chapter 76: The Auction House Opens!
Julian sat on the training room's bench, the sound of rain dripping down the windows thumping to a rhythmic beat. He drummed his fingers while waiting for Sena to leave the showers, humming to himself in a good mood.
'Though not ideal, we managed to sort things. For now.'
Julian sighed, thinking about what had occurred with Sena and Maria, how they both seemed to be possessive of him, even if it was only for a short period the changes in Sena were visible...
'This is something that I caused, but... I need to keep her under control to avoid any accidents.'
He thought back to the conversation he'd had with Sena after they fucked in the training room; she seemed to accept his explanation about Maria and said he would talk to Maria about it.
"Forget it... I was the one who hurt Sena first."
Sena had agreed with what he wanted, and they were both content for the moment. As long as Julian didn't neglect her for Maria, she wouldn't cause any trouble.
That didn't mean she would accept him flirting with her, but Sena did her best to take the situation.
'Now I should focus on the important thing. The auction house opens today, but Sena's locked out of the game for another 24 hours.'
Julian sighed once again before pulling up his phone to check the forums, seeing what kind of reaction the game got in the first few hours, but he couldn't remember it well because neither he nor Sena played the game at first.
The sound of footsteps coming from the showers alerted Julian to Sena leaving. She was wearing her casual clothes, hair damp and messy, as if she'd only just run a towel through it.
"Julian... I worried you might have left—"
'She smells so good...'
Taking the initiative, he stepped off the bench and hugged her tight, the scent of berries filling his nose, while she stood in surprise before hugging him back.
In return, she hugged him tighter.
"Sena, are we good?"
"Yes..."
"Will Maria cause us trouble?" Sena asked, her voice betraying her uncertainty.
"Don't worry about that. She wanted to speak to you before... I am sure she will apologise."
'It's not my place to apologise for Maria. I am sure she will deal with it her way.'
Julian tried to comfort Sena, knowing that despite what Sena said, Maria was an obstacle for her. But this was a problem beyond him. He already told her how he felt, why he did what he did and wouldn't hide things from her anymore.
"I'm worried you might leave me. Am I stupid?"
"No, I won't." He smiled at her before kissing her forehead. "Tell me what you want to do."
Julian didn't know what else he could do and needed to focus on the auction house soon, but Sena's state of mind couldn't be neglected, so he stopped rushing, instead taking a moment to check on her.
"Let me sleep with you tonight... please," Sena whispered as her head rested on the nape of his neck.
Julian was taken aback by this request but accepted it. "You didn't need to ask that. How about you stay at my apartment tonight since you can't play anyway?"
"What about Maria... would she be okay with that?" Sena whispered.
"Don't worry about Maria, she didn't expect me to move in or even ask for that kind of relationship. She will understand."
Sena's insecurity made Julian apprehensive, but he knew she could get over this and become stronger. The moment she stood above him showed him that Sena wasn't weak.
"Shall we go out and get something to eat, since you've been lock out of the game?" Julian stopped for a moment, his lips curling into a smile. "How about a little date before some training to stop you getting rusty?"
"Sounds good..." she hesitated before nodding in agreement.
There was a sense of peace finally inside the training room, the scent of their aggressive moment starting to fade as the pair stepped into the lift and headed back to Sena's room to get some clothes and prepare to leave.
Inside the lift, Sena hugged Julian's waist and refused to release him.
"You were really amazing..." Sena's cheeks turned red before she rubbed her nose against Julian's chest and glanced up at him. "When you pushed me down."
Julian lifted his brows with a faint smile. "Did you like it that much?"
Her blush deepened, but she didn't back down and nodded, her head bobbing up and down.
'After we fought, I thought she might not be in the mood for anything, but I guess I was wrong. Maybe this is her way of trying to repair our relationship.'
He didn't go too far and hugged her shoulder, making sure he observed her reactions. "Well, next time we can do it in a bed."
"Nn..."
A notification popped on Julian's phone, and he checked it out to see that it was an update about the auction house opening, and he smiled before showing it to her. "It seems that the auction house just opened." A banner on the website now advertised its opening and a low system tax when you sold items.
"You can get real money?" Sena believed Julian, but she couldn't see how people could make money on the market.
"Yeah, well, the best time to sell things would be today, but... tomorrow should be fine too."
Since he had upset her, Julian also wanted to equalise things and thus used her being out of the game to even things a little. It was a dirty move, but he couldn't be on the back foot and constantly worrying about her reactions.
Julian took Sena's hand, pulling her from the lift. He checked his phone once more before they reached her apartment, his chest thumping, wondering if Maria would have a similar reaction... He didn't want to fight against another of his women for real or risk losing everything.
'I hope she's sleeping.'

Sena put her key against the lock, but her hand trembled slightly.
'If they fight, I'll have to take a side...'
The door opened slowly.
"..." Sena took a deep breath and stepped inside, her leg trembling when she stepped too far, still bruised and a little sore from earlier, so she gripped Julian's hand for balance.
Julian stayed at her side while she walked, his gaze drifting around, only to see Maria sitting at the breakfast table, wearing nothing but her underwear, eating a bowl of cereal.
"M-Maria?!" Sena called out, her voice lifting two octaves. "Where are your clothes?!"
Maria froze, her gaze falling on the pair holding hands before it drifted to Julian, and then to Sena's face that looked confused, a mixture of anger and jealousy but also confusion.
Maria just smiled at them both, guiding her spoon and taking a slow bite. She seemed completely calm and collected.
"Since we all live together, I think we should be as comfortable as possible." Maria's calm voice echoed, causing Sena's shoulders to jitter. "I've started dating Julian."
Sena bit her lips hard enough to draw blood while she gripped his hand like a vice.
"I-I understand..."
"Really? Ah... I guess my broken lock was you. Did you watch me then?"
Sena's mouth opened, but nothing came out, and she stared at Maria, lost for words, then at Julian.
Honestly, even Julian found Maria quite cool at this moment, and he wondered how she would address it... but to come out so cleanly made him see flickers of the past life's Eleanora.
"Mm..." Sena just nodded, her head lowered down as her eyes fell to her toes.
"Maria—"
Maria raised her hand to cut Julian off.
"Sena, I am not going to take Julian from you, and I know you are his first girlfriend." Maria put down the bowl. "But that doesn't mean I'm going to stay away from him or be pushed around by you. He is also mine, maybe not in this life... hah. But like last night, if I want to suck his cock, I will. Understand?"
Sena opened her lips to speak, but closed them once again.
Her gaze drifted between the pair. She chewed the inside of her lips while facing the pressure of Maria, who seemed like a fearless tiger.
"What if I say I don't like it?"
What do you think?
