Chapter 762: Kavya's new novel and Agni goes to school

April 1662

Shaurya Royal Palace, Imperial Capital, Bengaluru, Akhand Bharatiya Empire

"Goodbye, Mother. Goodbye, little brother and sister," Agni waved his hands with a smile as he sat in a carriage with Vijay, all dressed up in the school uniform, ready to attend his first day of school.

Kavya, holding her daughter in one hand, waved goodbye with a laugh. Tanvika had tears in her eyes when she saw her brother sitting in the carriage. She had a vague idea that he was going to leave her.

"Tanvika, baby, don't cry. Brother will come back very soon. He won't be leaving for a long time," Kavya comforted as she wiped away the tears, held her daughter's hands in her hand, and gestured goodbye at the carriage.

Vedant, who was being held by the maid, was much calmer as he did not cry, but maybe that was because he was clueless about what was going to happen. With the help of the maid, he waved his hands as well.

Vijay, looking at the scene, was amused. He looked at Kavya with a warm gaze and nodded. "See you in the evening."

Soon, the carriage started to move, and in the blink of an eye, it disappeared out of the compound.

"Wahhhhhhh!"

Suddenly, Vedant started to cry. He seemed to have realized what had happened, but Big Sister Tanvika calmed down and returned to her normal self.

'Haha,' Kavya, shaking her head in amusement, handed over her daughter to the maid and took Vedant in her arms, roaming around the lawn to calm him down.

Occupied by the matters of the house as well as reviewing the Chitrakala for the Bahubali volume three, half a day had passed.

Kavya wiped the sweat off her forehead after she finally went through all the accounts of the royal family for the past year. Only a few weeks ago was the Vedic New Year, after all.

'Now then, should I finally get started?' She became enthusiastic. Nearly 10 months ago, before she was pregnant and put down the pen for a short while, she had an idea for a fantasy novel. She had written an outline and everything, but due to her pregnancy, she could not continue with it. But now that she was finally free after handling all her responsibilities, she once again got the idea of writing the novel.

'Let's do it.' Kavya did not procrastinate; she did it as soon as she thought of it.

Pushing open the door to her studio, she let out a deep breath, standing at the entrance and putting her mind in the right state.

She could still see the book in which she had written the outline, left alone on her table. She came forward, sat down, and re-read the outline to see if she still felt it was good enough or if changes had to be made. Unsurprisingly, after not getting involved with literature for nearly a year, she had many new ideas and quickly added them to the outline while removing the irrelevant points.

"This is a novel about a young boy who is also the protagonist, Hari Puttar, a young 12-year-old boy living in a metropolis city of the Bharatiya Empire in an abusive family of his uncle until one day he receives a mysterious sadhu who introduces him to the magical university, where they use the power of Chakra, a supernatural energy, to alter reality in ways that are impossible within the constraints of the laws of physics."

"The story has to be much simpler than Bahubali." "I need the kids, at least the middle school kids, to be able to read this and understand." "However, I need the story to be novel and magical enough for it to attract even the adults and for them to continue reading it."

"Let's see what else is remaining."

"Oh right, I should remember to write the novel in a very visual form so that it could be easily adapted into a Chitrakala or even a stage drama."

Kavya leaned back, very satisfied with the changes she had made. She was about to call the maids to bring her all the stock of novels, Chitrakalas, and newspapers that had accumulated over the past year so that she could use them to get some inspiration for her novel and for research. But she suddenly realized that if she was going to make a supernatural system of her own, the system needed to be governed by its own laws.

She knew she could handle the creative aspect, but she was not so confident about the mathematical aspect, especially since there were no predecessors who had created a fantasy magical world through words. Thankfully, Kavya was not one of those people who wanted to do everything by herself to be so-called authentic. She would rather do justice to the story and its characters than fall short because she could not construct the world properly.

She immediately wrote a letter to her agent and asked her to employ a few good mathematicians and algorithm experts in order to help develop the fantasy world she had in her mind.

In the meantime,

The royal carriage slowly came to a halt in front of Omm Middle School.

The children attending the school, as well as the parents who were dropping them off, were all shocked and stunned as they stood in their places, staring at the carriage with expressions of shock and amazement.

"Dad, is that the emblem of the royal family?"

"Yes, my son. I wonder what it is doing here."

"Hey, look! Someone is getting out."

"Gasp!!!"

"Gasp!!!"

"Golden amber eyes… OMG, it's the prince!"

"Oh wow, it's really the prince! What is he doing here? Don't tell me he will be going to our school from now on!!!"

"You don't have to doubt it. Look at the uniform—isn't it the same as ours?"

"Ohh lord, you are correct!"

"I can't believe I'm going to the same school as the Prince of the Empire."

"Me neither! I wonder if we can be friends."

"Pha! Stop dreaming."

The murmurs and discussions were endless. As soon as Agni got down from the carriage, he was bombarded with the gazes of everyone. He was momentarily startled, but then a comforting voice, soft but firm, was heard from behind.

"Don't worry. Be brave and move forward. I will be right here," Vijay said as he patted Agni's back.

He already knew it was going to be like this, but still, he wanted his son to have this experience because, even though intellectually speaking, Agni had already mastered the knowledge kids his age should master and more, there was more to life than simply downloading information. He wanted him to have a social life as well. So now that his tutelage under Saint Tukaram had been completed, it was time for him to enter society for his experience.

If Vijay could completely cover up the identity of Agni and have him learn in a school where both the rich and poor societies collide, he would. But unfortunately, he could not do that because of Agni's unique eyes, which were extremely rare in the Bharatiya Empire. Even if someone was found with amber-colored pupils, they were not as bright and vibrant as Agni's. It was a dead giveaway of his origin.

Not to mention, even the fancy contact lenses that people used in the future to change the color of their pupils were impossible to manufacture, even as an extremely exquisite artisan's work. Not to mention, even if it was possible, Vijay wouldn't like his son to wear contacts, given their disadvantages, which would only be heightened in this era.

In the end, Vijay could only have Agni go to school with his own identity.

The timing was very good as well. In his last life, kids used to start going to school at the age of five or six. Now, Agni was six years old, and it was the perfect time for him to start his schooling.

The only thing Vijay did differently for Agni compared to other kids was that he only had to attend school for half a day, while in the other half, he would spend time touring various royal family assets and places where most entrepreneurs gathered and learning basic skills , in order to build his enterprising spirit from a very young age.

If there was anything Vijay was relieved about, it was that he did not have the pressure of cultivating the next emperor of the Bharatiya Empire.

I mean, he did—but not in the traditional sense. If Agni didn't want to, or if he was not too popular with the people and his abilities were not enough, he could forego the responsibility of standing for emperor while the most capable and willing person took his place.

So even if, despite everything he had done and all the precautions he had taken, Agni turned out to be a bad candidate for emperor, Vijay was relieved that he would not bring down the empire with him, since he would not be elected by the people in the first place. Or even if he was, since his foundation in the Bharatiya Empire was not small, Vijay was relieved that, because of the power system where the capable held the dominant power, the government could quickly take over decision-making from the emperor if the emperor was not capable.

Now, these are all the things Vijay doesn't want to see, but it still feels comforting that there are safeguards.

Gaining enough confidence, Agni slowly walked towards the entrance of the building without paying attention to the murmurs around him.

But as he got to the large door, suddenly, he heard a familiar voice.

"Woah!!! Cousin, is that you? What are you doing here?"

Looking back, he was taken aback. It was his cheerful cousin, whom he had met nearly 10 months ago.

"Brother?" he exclaimed, as he did not expect to go to the same school as his cousin, Rajendra Bhosle II.

Rajendra looked at Agni with his eyes wide open. He never expected his mysterious cousin to show up at his school, but thinking about seeing him more often, he laughed out loud. "HAHAH!"

"Looks like it's fate."

"Come, I'll show you around."

Rajendra immediately came forward, put his arm around Agni, and pulled him away.

Out of the corner of his eye, Agni saw his father waving at him with a smile. He quickly understood that this must have been an arrangement made by his father. He shook his head in amusement and let his brother pull him around like a ragdoll.
