Abigail looked at the tightly closed door with some helplessness and confusion. She couldn’t help but doubt her judgment and her purpose for coming here.

Knock, knock, knock.

Just as Abigail found herself sinking uncontrollably into her terrible mood, there was a knock on the door, and the interrogation room door was pushed open.

Abigail looked up, thinking it was Officer Ben returning. Instead, she was surprised to see the chiseled face of Luke Scout, raising her eyebrows slightly.

Luke hadn’t expected the person detained to be Abigail. Even he, who was usually calm, was taken aback. He turned to Lionel Woolley and asked, “What’s going on?”

“Get out.” Luke didn’t give Lionel a chance to react. After he finished speaking, he didn’t hesitate to send the man away, then looked at Abigail. “What’s going on?”

Abigail didn’t beat around the bush. “He’s in Gills City, right?”

Luke frowned. This woman could probably not only treat illnesses but also tell fortunes!

“Are you asking about Brandon Piers? He’s detained in a prison on the outskirts of Swallow City. If you want to see him, you can try going there.” Luke seemed not to understand Abigail’s words, but explained in rare detail.

Abigail listened, staring into Luke’s eyes as if trying to capture any truth or falsehood. But those sharp eyes revealed nothing. After a while, Abigail sighed softly. “Is that so?”

Luke nodded faintly.

The atmosphere became somewhat awkward. Luke glanced at the time and stood up. “I’ll have someone send you back to the hotel in a while.”

“Is this in accordance with the rules, Captain Scout?” Abigail didn’t move, quietly staring at Luke. Although his expression was as usual, she felt something was off.

“I personally vouch for you. No problem.”

Luke seemed not to notice Abigail’s probing. After finishing his sentence, he planned to call Lionel in, but the latter pushed open the interrogation room door first. “Captain Scout, Miss Green’s lawyer has arrived.”
