Chapter 787: Chapter 787: Abigail’s Provocation against Second Young Master Fails

Abigail woke up in the morning to find the side of the bed empty.

It wasn’t the kind of empty when someone had gotten up after sleeping. It was the kind of empty when no one had slept there all night, neatly undisturbed.

This result wasn’t within Abigail’s expectations. So she sat up and stared blankly at the empty side for quite a while, a bit unable to accept it.

She thought Brandon Piers would somehow find a way into the bedroom; then, like many times before, he would cling to her bed and hold her to sleep.

But she hadn’t expected that despite knowing she was mad, he would choose to remain indifferent.

Having tossed and turned all night without sleeping well, Abigail’s mood was exceptionally foul. The conversation between Brandon Piers and Elder Piers from last night kept surfacing in her mind, making her wonder uncontrollably. Was it because of the current predicament, or did he truly echo that old saying about treasures being unattainable but taken for granted once gotten?

Taking a deep breath, Abigail rubbed her temples, forbidding herself from overthinking. She turned over and got out of bed to wash up.

By the time Abigail left the room, she was refreshed. To cover the light blue under her eyes, she had deliberately applied a thin layer of powder, making her look even more beautiful and captivating under the morning light. But getting up early today, Teddy hadn’t woken up yet.

Looking at the little one’s sleeping posture, Abigail’s tense face finally softened a bit. She wondered what he was dreaming about, with his legs kicking to one side and his body curved like a shrimp, his head already off the pillow, and his little fists clenched tightly.

The most important thing was that this little guy had fallen asleep facing the other side last night. Now he had turned 180 degrees to the other side, showing just how restless he was in his sleep.

Seeing this, Aunt Claudia, who had come by after washing up, laughed lightly. “His sleeping posture is exactly like yours when you were little.”

“I don’t think so. I never turned around in my sleep,” Abigail denied.

“That’s because you didn’t know,” Aunt Claudia laughed.

Abigail smiled but didn’t dwell on the topic. She extended her hand to gently straighten out the little one’s body, but as soon as she did, Teddy, perhaps sensing his mother, unclenched his fist, grabbing Abigail’s hand with his little one and continued sleeping.
