Chapter 444: Chapter 444 She’s Almost Driven Crazy by Flirting! (Part 2) Chapter 444: Chapter 444 She’s Almost Driven Crazy by Flirting! (Part 2) “What did I do?” Brandon Piers asked with an innocent look.
Abigail Green looked at the man’s handsome and innocent face, secretly sighed in exasperation, and calmly said, “I should go back now.”
After speaking, Abigail intended to slip away, but Brandon reached out and grabbed her.
Abigail turned back with difficulty. “What’s wrong?”
Brandon reached out and pinched one of her cheeks. “Remember to come home tonight.”
“Ha ha.”
Abigail was startled by the man’s intimate action, quickly looked around, then heard a low male voice chuckle slightly, and scold her softly, “Idiot.”
Abigail, who was inexplicably scolded again, wondered how she had become an idiot this time.
“Alright, you can go now. Be smart and don’t let that old man bully you.” Brandon glanced at the time and released Abigail. At this moment, out of nowhere, appeared a man who was neither tall nor short, with no distinctive features, respectfully opening the car door.
Brandon turned around and got into the car.
It was only after the car left that Abigail was puzzled, thinking about where that man had come from. With her keen senses, she didn’t even notice.
She immediately felt annoyed at herself. She was truly blinded by lust.
Abigail returned to the private room. Old Mr. Smith, Lena Locke, and Sophie Hope were already full and satisfied. Seeing her return, they smiled and asked if she wanted to go to Old Mr. Smith’s yard to get acquainted with the place.
“Didn’t we just start school today? Shouldn’t we get familiar with the campus?” Abigail asked weakly.
Lena couldn’t stop laughing at Abigail’s comment. “My dear girl, we’re sophomores now. We’re not freshmen anymore. Are you kidding me?”
Abigail then remembered. Oh, right, she was a sophomore, not a freshman. She smiled awkwardly. “That’s true.”
“How awkward.” Old Mr. Smith glanced and suddenly burst out with a trendy phrase he learned from Lena.
Everyone was stunned for a moment, then burst into crazy laughter.
Old Mr. Smith didn’t find it funny, though. He snorted discontentedly at Abigail.
After laughing, Cameron Theodore stepped forward with the demeanor of a headmaster, looking at the three of them. “This afternoon, you have the day off. How about going over to Old Mr. Smith’s place to hang out?”
“The headmaster is amazing!” Lena gave him a thumbs up.
Sophie was indifferent, and Abigail glanced at Old Mr. Smith. If she refused, she didn’t know how angry he would get, so she had to nod.
The group left the restaurant. Cameron Theodore was about to arrange for a car when Pullan suddenly appeared. “Is this Headmaster Theodore? I just heard from my cousin that they’re going over to Old Mr. Smith’s place. I happen to have some business nearby. Why don’t I take them there?”
“Oh, of course. Thank you.” Cameron was momentarily stunned, then realized this should be arranged by Brandon. He took another look at Pullan’s physique, had a guess in his mind, and nodded in agreement.
Abigail also understood that this was arranged by Brandon. A trace of sweetness grew in her heart, eyes filled with warm smiles. She then felt a nudge on her arm, turned her head to meet her grandpa’s disapproving gaze. “You ungrateful little thing.”
“Ha ha,” Abigail reached out to remove her grandpa’s cane, laughing. “Grandpa Smith, let’s get in the car.”
“Hmph.” Old Mr. Smith snorted haughtily, getting into the car at once.
Lena happily bounced to Pullan’s side. “Brother Pullan, is this your car? This business car is so cool!”
“It’s our boss’s.” Pullan felt a hint of redness on his tanned skin, feeling somewhat ashamed it wasn’t his car.
But the girl wasn’t disappointed at all; she was even happier. “Then your boss must appreciate you a lot. Keep it up.”
“Sure.” Pullan answered firmly.
Lena happily sat next to Abigail, secretly whispering in her ear, “Abigail, your cousin is so cute.”
Pullan’s ears were very sharp, and with the car door still open, he heard it clearly, feeling his whole body burn. A girl said he was cute! Cute!
Abigail heard this, turned her head to look at the somewhat stern and slightly immature Pullan. “Cute? Kind of.”
Lena was delighted.
Sophie looked at Lena complicatedly. “Lena, he looks ten years older than you, and he’s a working adult. Don’t be fooled by appearances.”
Lena, “…”
Abigail was also stunned, looking at Lena, then at Pullan. One was too big and strong, the other too petite and delicate. They didn’t look quite suitable, so she nodded in agreement.
Lena didn’t expect that just by casually praising Pullan, she would attract so much speculation. She immediately glared at Sophie, “Don’t talk nonsense. It’s not what you think.”
“That’s good.” Sophie was slightly relieved.
Pullan, already in the driver’s seat with the car started, “…”
He was being dismissed because of his age and being a working adult. Did they even see him as a living person? And the young lady wasn’t even on his side!
Pullan was very sad, sad to the point of silence.
Korean’s mom, sitting in the front, seeing this, fearing Pullan might indeed have feelings for the young lady, consoled him in a low voice, “Pullan, Lena is indeed quite young. If you like this type, I’ll find someone for you that you’d be satisfied with.”
Pullan, “…” When did he ever say he liked young ladies?
But in this situation, what could he do? He could only accept it. “Thank you, Korean’s Mom.”
“Good child.” Korean’s mom, in a good mood, praised him.
Lena, in the back, was stunned, hearing he was looking to date. She felt inexplicably unhappy but thought it was strange. Did he really like her type of girl?
But the next moment, Lena denied her thoughts. Korean’s mom should’ve just been teasing Pullan, and Pullan agreed probably just out of pleasantries. There’s no way it was real.
As for her and Pullan, they couldn’t be more different.
At this, the young girl quickly dismissed the jumbled emotions, chatting with Abigail and Sophie about going to Old Mr. Smith’s yard.
Old Mr. Smith occasionally chimed in, without getting angry or giving cold looks. The atmosphere was much better than in the restaurant when Brandon was present.
This good mood, however, vanished when Lena opened the school forum!
“That Duncan Symons is so hateful!” Lena angrily cursed.
Abigail and Sophie looked over and found an article on the forum titled, “Revealing Why the Second Young Master is Sponsoring a Fatty.” It deduced Abigail was an orphan from being brought to school by her uncle and aunt and from the group riding in an old electric car. It concluded that Abigail wasn’t a “koi,” but just a poor fatty who got sympathy to be sponsored by the second young master.
Since Abigail was sponsored by the second young master and promised a choice of hospital under the Piers group after graduation, and she and her two roommates accidentally became Old Mr. Smith’s students, the topic was hot.
But suddenly being exposed like this made the forum lively.
However, after reading the comments, they found it amusing!
The most popular comments were extremely satisfying.
The first comment, “How can they be jealous of this? The poster must be a green-eyed monster reincarnated, right?”
The second comment, “Being brought by uncle and aunt equals being an orphan. What about those with no one bringing them? Suddenly becomes an orphan, crying!”
A section of +1’s followed.
The third comment, “Driving a Geely means being poor. What about being picked up by a luxury car by a sugar daddy during the weekend? Confused?”
…
Abigail couldn’t stop shaking her head, until her gaze fell on a new comment Lena flipped to, her eyebrows slightly furrowing.
What do you think?
