Tathagata can muster greater combat power on Spiritual Mountain than in Heavenly Court. With your current strength, heading to Spiritual Mountain would be like a moth to a flame! It’s best as you just said, to prove the Tao and become a saint before you go!”

After pausing, the Puti Patriarch glanced at the Sect Hierarch of Tongtian. He knew Sun Wukong well; the monkey was always impulsive, not typically noticeable, but easily hot-headed with matters involving those close to him. Sun Wukong’s mention of proving the Tao and becoming a saint before requesting Zi Lan likely came after heeding advice from the Sect Hierarch of Tongtian.

“Right, Master, Three-Star Cave Heaven has now been exposed. Tathagata might retaliate against Flower-Fruit Mountain. We need to strategize early!”

Sun Wukong remembered how, after knocking over the ginseng fruit tree in his past life, he returned to his tilted Three-Star Cave to find it empty. Could it be that was after the Buddhist Sect discovered and besieged Three-Star Cave Heaven?
